Good value and food good. Only complaint we was on our way to theatre and staff busy talking to each other instead of taking order and serving, in spite of making them aware. No complaints if we hadn't been on a time limit

The goat cheese on toast was a disappointment, expected a tart. We enjoyed the rest of the meal. More wines by the glass would be an improvement.

They could do with more staff training. The waitress who served us was excellent but I was shocked by the attitude of the one serving the table behind us.

Excellent friendly service, good food. Wrong started brought but remedied and money back without asking for anything. Would go again at this location - and also take friends.

Delicious food, excellent choice and good service. Very attentive staff without being obtrusive. It is one of our favourite restaurants in Bury St Edmunds and we will definitely go back there.

As always at our Cote the food was very good, service courteous. Being Friday the place was very busy but there were no undue delays and we enjoyed our evening.

The staff there are lovely - so friendly and willing to help and make sure everything is right for you. The food is a bit hit & miss though. I had a Camembert starter but there was very little Camembert in it. My partners though was lovely and the main was.

Lovely food today. Service was on the slow side. But lovely when it arrived. A busy lunch service but I love the hot plates and elegant food.

One starter was not up to expectations but the staff handled our comments very well and offered a free dessert or coffee so it couldn't have been dealt with any better. Overall, very good.

Went with friends, none of whom had eaten at cote before. They were all very impressed and will no doubt be back in the future. I will certainly back as it is one of my favourite restaurants in the town 😊

Good choice, with attentive but not intrusive service. Good Sunday lunch service specials with the steak and the chicken both going down well. Will be going back.

I strongly dislike the practice of a discretionary 12.5% service charge. I'm well aware that it's notionally optional but who wants to appear penny pinching at the end of a nice meal by arguing about it? Your service is good but not exceptional (for local comparison try The Leaping Hare at Wyken Hall) & I would much prefer to be free to choose how much tipping to do

Our experience was good , service attentive, Food good , cotes has a good feel to it , decor good on the whole excellent will call again .

Food and service excellent as usual. The only downside was an obviously overdone steak which was replaced without any fuss. The manager took the cost of the steak off the bill which was a decent gesture. The asparagus starter was delicious.

Like a lot of busy women with domestic responsibilities eating out for me is a great treat and I want to eat food well cooked by someone else - something that I would not do at home. Our meal tonight, for my husband and I before we went to the theatre, was just that - well cooked, nicely presented and very tasty. The experience was enhanced by a complimentary bottle of wine courtesy of the loyalty points - we wouldn't normally buy a bottle of wine unless it is a 'big night out', (If I was out with the girls it might be different!), consequently we ordered 3 courses. The service was good - attentive without being overbearing. All in all a lovely meal. I/we will definitely come again. Thank you.

As someone that has to eat whole fresh real food I found the menu impossible. No allergy menu, they only have a gluten free menu. So if you want to avoid, dairy, sugar, fried, gluten and red meat forget it. I would have just liked a simple piece of fish (no breadcrumbs) fresh vegetables with no butter, sugar or dairy sauces smothering it. Only went because it's where my Father wanted to go for his Birthday.

The food was excellent as ever. Service was very good. My only gripe is the 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill. I know it's optional but I'd rather not see it and be left to tip at my discretion.

We enjoyed a well presented and tasty meal in elegant surroundings. Staff were attentive and helpful. Lots of choice. Reasonable price. What more do you need? Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

The food was nice and some of the staff were friendly but the evening didn't go as I'd planned... I'd prebooked a table for 6 for my boyfriends birthday and then called the restaurant earlier that day to ask about them bringing out a dessert with a candle in and they said it wouldn't be a problem and to leave it with them. I also asked if I'd need to remind them when we arrived and they said no.. well it didn't happen, we ordered dessert and nothing.

Excellent atmosphere and service and good quality food. We shall certainly come back soon. We find the decor and seating arrangements very pleasant and comfortable.

The service was great from the time we arrived to when we departed. The food was excellent. First class French Onion Soup. My partner had spinach and Gruyere pancakes and I had lamb. Both excellent.
