Always love this place. Great food & very good service. Only slight criticism is that I booked online & told them it was our 26th wedding Anniversary & asked for a quiet table but there was no knowledge of that when we arrived.
The food was very good as always but order of olives & bread missed out and errors on bill (resolved but you really shouldn't need to check) which is why we removed the12.5% service charge (tip)
Friendly staff which was lovely it was a birthday breakfast and they made me feel special . Service a little slow and food was nice. I would reccomend to friends and family.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal last Friday evening and staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately we had to miss our sweet as going on to the theatre
Waitress could have been better trained. She was very polite but not all the finer points of waiting on were there. We were surprised she said she had been doing it for ten months.
Generally love eating at Cote & Bury St Edmunds was no exception! Grown up food well prepared & cooked. The waiting staff are always a delight......and the price is just magic! A lot more expensive eateries could take a leaf out of their book!
We love going to Cote for some simple tasty food, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. It's our date night before the movies favourite just bring back the onion soup and we'd be in heaven ;-)
Totally acceptable experience with food that was well presented with attentive staff and at a cost effective price. I do question though why 12.5% gratuity is added to the bill. I would have thought 10.0% is more reasonable for a local market town such as Bury St Edmunds.
Excellent food, good wine and we could not fault the waitress who was very attentive and helpful. All in all a very nice evening was had by all.
We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Father's Day at Cotes, Bury St.Edmunds. We were allocated a booth which was perfect with our three young children. Then the service and food were both fab! Highly recommended!
I took clients for lunch, plenty of choice of tables. Service was good, and the food perfect. Ideal for business and pleasure. I will certainly book again
Haven't been here for a few years and will certainly be back soon. The service was first class and the food most enjoyable. Excellent value for money too. A very pleasant and rewarding early evening dinner.
Good food, friendly staff, always good value. Cote Bury is one of the best we've tried and I would recommend a visit there for lunch or dinner
We had a lovely celebration for my daughter's 18th birthday on Sunday 11th June. The staff were great - very kind and helpful, and service was excellent but not at all intrusive. I had mentioned it was an 18th birthday and without asking the staff had gone out and bought an 18th birthday balloon which was tied to our table. We were also treated to a complimentary drink and my daughter was given a complimentary sweet dessert, with a chocolate message piped on the edge of the plate. The food was really good, and we left feeling very happy. Cotes really stepped up to the mark. Definitely return. Thank you !
As well as being Father's Day it was also my daughters 10th birthday. Staff made a special effort with her . It made her day
We usually eat at Cote Cambridge, where an authentic French Brasserie atmosphere is replicated. This was sadly lacking at Cote in Bury St Edmunds, although the staff were very pleasant and the service was good. We both had the smoked mackerel, beetroot and horseradish salad to start and this was flavoursome but the presentation was poor and off-putting. Moules frites and hake on a bed of warm chickpeas, olives and cherry tomatoes from the set menu were tasty and the lunch was good value for money.
Friendly staff as always. Good value as we were taking advantage of an offer. On this occasion food wasn't as fabulous as usual (chicken slightly dry) and a salmon special wasn't as "special" as some dishes in the past. The third meal off the set menu was fantastic. Still a good meal out and we will be returning.
Food was excellent, always a good varied menu Staff very attentive and friendly I would certainly recommend this restaurant to friends looking forward to next visit
One of my new favourite restaurants....the staff are so friendly, efficient and make you feel so welcome. The food is out of this world, so amazing! Can't fault this restaurant at all, thank you everyone at Cote Bury for being so amazing! 😁
Great food and service, really enjoyed our evening at Cote Brasserie after a great festival day in Abbey Gardens! Will certainly recommend to other people
Excellent meal with friendly service. One had fish and the other had steak and fries plus two glasses of wine on top of the two complementary glasses of prosecco.
Pleasant atmosphere, good food, helpful friendly staff. We had a really enjoyable time, and will be back again before very much longer. Here's to the next time!
Great food great service personnel attention and highly recommended and will be back. The quality of the food and high detail of the cooking is like being in France.
three of us had the crab and avocado starter which was too cold and fairly tasteless. the service was acceptable and fairly speedy as we had theatre tickets.
A great atmosphere, fantastic food and friendly staff. Both the specials menu and regular meals are well presented and taste great. Frequently attend and am never disappointed.
Well looked after. Food not as good as sometimes. One guest had a bad potato in her helping. The asparagus served with the salmon was very much the left overs. The separate portion of asparagus that we had was very good unlike what was served with the fish.
lovely meal, Lovely staff. only let down, I had the cheese for desert and the bread was really hard. I left the bread and ate the cheese and grapes which were really good. Obviously the bread had been sitting around all evening but this did not spoil our experience.
I had a great meal enjoying good food a bottle of red wine excellent service in a very pleasant atmosphere and surroundings with my friends celebration his 72nd Birthday.
We go to Cote Bury St Edmunds regularly and as per usual the food was lovely and the staff ,efficient, friendly and helpful. A very pleasant evening.
The diner was brilliant! Enjoyed the food and felt the service was good. The restaurant has great ambiance. I have not had a bad experience in this restaurant😊
Good service thanks would use it again if in town fast friendly clean and the food was the tops lets hop we can go again when in Bury St Edmonds
Great meal, great service though disappointing lack of choice for our vegetarian party member, omelet or risotto. If she had eaten fish there would have been a lot more to choose from.
Excellent food, attentive service in smart and comfortable surroundings. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The staff were sensitive, engaged, and knowledgeable. It was a very good meal in a fine venue.
The staff were very welcoming. The Formule French breakfast was lovely and service was timely and professional. I would recommended the Bury St. Edmunds branch of Cőte Brasserie.
Always pleasant service, good atmosphere an enjoyable experience all round. One of our favourite places to eat in Bury St Edmunds, haven't ever had a bad meal.
Pleasant visit for a catch up over lunch with a friend, We both enjoyed the complimentary birthday Kir Royales,As usual in this restaurant we weren't made to feel rushed by the staff so plenty of time to enjoy our catch up.
Cote (Bury St Edmunds) is our favourite restaurant. We are frequent visitors. The atmosphere is great, very relaxed and friendly. The food is always really good, in fact, we've never had a bad meal there. We particularly like the way the food is brought out from the kitchen as soon as it is ready, not sitting around waiting for service. Therefore, it is always served hot. This is my "go to" restaurant and I'm always happy to recommend. Just a minor point- I don't like the complimentay water. It tastes horrible, possibly because it's been sitting around in those stone flasks? No big deal, I just don't drink it!
Excellent meal good service wine expensive! Service good and prompt we were a bit early but it didn't matter, good atmosphere so an enjoyable evening
Experience, Was fanstic. Staff were great very helpfull made my birthday lunchl verySpecial. Its was my sister in law first visit she was very impressed. Will been returning .jackie & jo
Nice atmosphere, good food and a great gluten free choice which is why we go the Côte. Always happy, chatty staff. Thank you Côte, Bury St. Edmunds
I booked 6 weeks in advance for a birthday celebration and requested a particular table one of 3 similar. I was assured this was ok. The day before the event I went in personally to confirm and the manager again assured me it was ok. We arrived on time and all 3 were occupied. Usual patronising apologies and another table offered. I insisted and after 10 minutes a requested table was vacated and all was well. A frustrating irritant more than anything else but if the staff cannot guarantee a table then say so. The waitress was excellent as was the food and on balance we will return. I would have liked to give 5 stars but the issue above slightly took the edge off the experience.
Very friendly service and good quality food and good value- would recommend the evening set menu. Good range of food and drink to choose from.
Lovely food in a chic Parisian bistro style setting. The prix fixe menus are excellent value for money The wine list is good but rather pricey
Friendly efficient attentive staff good tasty lunch set menu clean nice ambience in restaurant toilets bit of a trek would go again bury St EDS venue
Excellent service. Seasonal menu with good choice. Asparagus gratin very tasty although quite small portion (on May specials) Apple tart really good A regular spot for us to eat well.
A pleasant experience, good food, tranquil atmosphere. Alas, the white wine wasn't chilled, which let the service down. The waitress was attentive and friendly , an enjoyable experience as always.
We regularly eat at Cote Brasserie in Bury St Edmunds where the food is excellent with good service by lovely staff and relaxing tranquil atmosphere.
Prompt efficient service and we were all very satisfied with our food. The Restaurant has a good atmosphere and is always busy despite a lot of completion in the town.
Our family of eight. Age range 12to73 enjoyed an excellent lunch with superb service. We all ate something different and all agreed we had liked everything
Always consistant quality with a varied menu, well trained staff and welcoming atmosphere . We eat there regularly. Ideal for pre show dinner. Well done.
