Good food, good service, good location. A really enjoyable meal with friends in a very pleasant surroundings with good service from a very efficient waiter.

Very pleasant indeed: good table service, excellent quality of food cooked really well. For example, chicken still very hot on plate, green beans crunchy but cooked though, beautiful creamy cheese board with real baguette pieces. You will get what you pay for here (slightly expensive + 12.5% Service Charge included may catch you out). Our third time and will definitely go again (when saved up enough money).

We recently enjoyed a birthday lunch for myself and husband. The specials lunch menu was truly lovely and such very good value. The staff in the Bury St Edmunds branch are both friendly and helpful and our meal was served efficiently. We have had meals out in many restaurants and hotels in the past but the service we received in Cotes was exemplary.

Great spacious restaurant, with lovely friendly staff: nothing too much trouble. Excellent October menu with creative cooking full of flavour. Popular eaterie, so we always book.

Brilliant service and lovely food. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone planning a birthday/anniversary/any special meal out. Also very reasonably priced for how good it is.

A nice dinner with good food and wine as usual. Just a minor thing - if you clear away the empty starter dishes before bringing tha main course you willl find there is more space on the table. :-)

Great food and good service. Always a good experience. The restaurant was pretty full yesterday, but still excellent service within good time frame. The specials and regular updates/additions to menu are never disappointing, unlike some restaurants that seem to fail to offer that variety.

the service was good, we both had corn fed Breton chicken which was beautifully cooked and very good value for money. Setting much better than the Norwich branch

All Staff were excellent. Beetroot starter fabulous. Mains fine. However we had to point out that the ladies toilets needed attention. We would come again.

Food was excellent as always. Waiting for food was longer than usual and they had run out of one of the October specials which we had all intended to order.

Went as a result of the free bottle of wine promotion. Very disappointed to be told that "the offer doesn't apply to Fridays and Saturdays !" The e-mail said nothing about this restriction only that orders have to be from the A La Carte menu. After threatening to find another restaurant, the manager eventually rescinded and we had the wine. Very poor PR -could have been even more embarrassing if we had taken guests, otherwise the meal and service was good.

As always, excellent food served by friendly staff. What more can I say? We will be back. Pity Cotes is not a bit closer to home.

We had a great breakfast all cooked lovely its was my husband birthday treat it was our first time for breakfast at cote service was great.

Our party of 3 arrived earlier than our booked time but that was not a problem, we were made to feel very welcome and our complimentary Kir Royals were brought to us promptly. Cote is one of our favourite restaurants in Bury St Edmunds, the food is always of a consistent standard and the staff are so helpful and friendly.

Food was excellent. Having explained that we had a quick turnaround as going to the theatre - this restraurant advertises pre theatre suppers - we still had to chase the waiter as the service was slow.

Excellent service and friendly staff. There was a problem with my steak, but the staff dealt with it extremely well and removed it from my bill streat away without being asked. We always enjoy the food and the atmosphere and would always recommend it.

My wife and I took six of our close friends for a dinner to mark my recent birthday. The atmosphere in the retaurant was good, the food was very good and the service was excellent.

Excellent service and overall a superb meal, spoilt a little bit by far too much salt in our mussels. This was mentioned to the staff.

It was our 3rd visit to Cote and was much as we expected it, very good food and the waiters were very attentive and we weren't kept hanging around waiting for each course. When the food arrived it was nice and hot and we weren't constantly bothered by questions such as "is everything alright ". It is a bit pricey and you have to be mindful of the 12.5% service fee that is automatically added to your bill. I am sure we will be going to Cote again, probably at around Christmas time when we have all had a chance to save up a bit and talk to to bank mananger!

although the complaint was resolved ok, my wife's steak was still not very good, 1st one was at least 30% fat and replacement was tough which is a shame because food and service are normally good

The restaurant was very busy with not enough staff. We were a table of 4. The food was okay, but the service was poor, but not the fault of the staff as they were all rushed off their feet. Will not return on a busy evening. PLEASE get the staffing levels sorted.

Excellent as always. One of the best places to go out in Bury - we eat at Cote frequently because it is consistently good food and excellent service.

The duck was tough, but other two meals were excellent. Problem sorted with manager. As usual standard of service good and we had a good table.
