As always a fabulous breakfast - a real treat to start the day. My visit today was made even better by a promotional voucher which allowed me to treat a friend to breakfast - I took my husband.

We did have a great night with great tasting food. However, one point that does puzzle me is the inconsistency of portions. The Christmas menu being £34.95 is one of the most expensive in town; you can get a 10oz steak for a main course but if you have the haddock you get one small fillet for the same price! Investigating on the internet steak is about £2 more per kilo! If you are going to charge top prices please treat everyone fairly.

Excellent as always. Very grateful that they read my message and put us on a table away from the draft by the door. The restaurant is always very busy but the service is still excellent and fast!

The food and the service were excellent, in spite of the restaurant being very busy. I found fault with only one thing - the restaurant was slightly too warm. In all, an enjoyable experience.

Lovely food and wine and nice atmosphere. Very happy with the service. Always have great food in the evening but have had a couple of lunches were the food is not of the same standard. Over all we still would recommend this restaurant.

Cote Bury St Edmunds was a warm welcoming place for lunch on a very cold day. Plenty of attentive staff so no long waits to be served. We ate from the extremely good value lunch time set menu which changes regularly with the seasons, no getting bored with the same old menu. Cote is our favourite eating place in Bury.

This wasn't our first visit to Cote at Bury St Edmunds and it won't be the last, never been disappointed. We enjoy a lovely restaurant, very good food-served by the very pleasant staff. Looking forward to the next time already.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The food was hot. The portion of chips was very small and the beef bourginion was dry as there wasn't much sauce.

We eat early before the theatre and we’re able to take advantage of the eRlybird menu which was excellent and very good value for money. The food was very tasty and the service very good. The only slight disappointment was no festive decorations despite being it near Christmas.

I have eaten at different Cotes over the past few years and always have an enjoyable experience but this visit was by far the best in my experience. I was in a party of 6 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, the staff were attentive and responded to our requests promptly. Visit here is highly recommended.

Firstly, on the Christmas Menu it quite clearly states two course for £18.95 and three course for £22.95. When I asked the waiter for a main course and a sweet he informed me that you could only have a starter and a main course. I then pointed out to him that there was nothing on that menu stating that. He said he would have a word with the Manager to see if they would do it as a gesture of goodwill. This was not a good start to our lunch. We had to wait almost 35 minutes before we got our main courses. Then the bill was not correct as we had been charged for three courses when we had only had two courses. Plus I strongly object to a gratuity of 12.5% being added to the bill of £9.44. We immediately asked for it to be redone and also to take off this gratuity. This is Bury St Edmunds not London. Rather disappointed with the whole experience.

Ambience is lovely. Service was good and seemed attentive, but not distractively so. Had the onion soup and spinach and mushroom crepes that were very tasty and filling. The soup is presented too hot, so something to be mindful ( not the first time with this here). My daughter had the beef bourguignon which was excellent. I have not had a bad experience at this restaurants!

Staff members were too familiar by welcoming us with Hi guys this is not the sort of greeting i expect from a better class restaurant like Cote Brasserie. Also considering the Bury St Edmunds Christmas market was taking place the restaurant was woefully under staffed which put the staff under pressure which meant a long wait to be served and also led to mistakes.

Service slow. one diner's steak was tough as old boots. This was removed off the bill. We were charged for a starter we never orders. Not given the option to not tip, as such poor quality of service and food.

Order was taken quite quickly despite it being incredibly busy ( Christmas fair). Food arrived about 20 mins later, generally a lot quicker but not a problem. Breakfast was lovely, and a very nice treat.

We were in Bury St Edmunds for the Christmas market, and decided to book a table at Cote for a late "breakfast", rather than for an early lunch. My partner decided up on the full english breakfast (2 rashers bacon, local sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes and two poached eggs, with toast) and I had the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce. Both of us were delighted with our meals, and the service was, as usual in a Cote establishment, excellent. Another plus for Cote!

Despite it being a very busy day in Bury due to the Christmas market the service and food were excellent. However I have unsubscribed from receiving emails and yet you still send them. Next time I am in London you may receive a visit from me.

I use the restaurant, fairly regularly, and have always been very satisfied. However, I chose 'Poulet Grille', for my main course and was somewhat disappointed. It was rather dry and tasteless. As I was entertaining a lady, I did not raise the point, at the time as she was very satisfied with her fish.

Good food, sensibly priced, friendly staff, good ambience but had to wait over half an hour after ordering before our food arrived. Also I don't agree with the practice of automatically adding a 12.5% gratuity to the bill even though the customer has the option to pay less or more. The level of gratuity should be up to the individual customer to decide upon without any "guidance" from the management.

We visited Cote, Bury St Edmunds for an early evening meal before going to the theatre and it was a great choice for us. There certainly was a great selection of food to choose from and we all really enjoyed what we had to eat. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
