Côte Bury St Edmunds

This is the second time I have visited this restaurant and both times the food has been exceptional. It is probably my favourite restaurant in Bury St Edmunds. The staff are also extremely polite. My only negative comment would be the recommended gratuity which is automatically added to the bill. A few restaurants have started doing this and it really annoys me; a tip should be given at the customers discretion. It's almost like admitting they don't pay their own staff a fair wage. I find it rude and it has the oppososite effect on me, making me want to leave no tip at all.

Good décor, smart, plenty of staff, very attentive. Food served promptly, well presented and tasted excellent. Fortunate to have good company and would return again.

Good food, great service - spacious and clean. Varied menu options and extremely good value. Would definitely revisit and happily recommend to friends, family and all.

The food and service were very good as always. My duck was cooked perfectly. The chocolate pot was very smooth. A lovely evening and good value.

Lovely meals. As we were a large party we submitted our meal choices before we arrived. The staff were very friendly and efficient. All in all, an enjoyable experience.

Meal was lovely with friendly staff and accommodated my cousin who is disabled very well. The service was quick and food was delicious. Will certainly come again

It was Excellent, really lovely and great atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially the wine list. Despite it being a chain really well worth a visit!

Overall meal and service was good. The pork belly was a bit overdone and dry but this was compensated for in the bill, so all good.

I was dining alone as I was away on business. It was a weekday evening and I was sat in a remote area alone to dine. The waiting staff were not very attentive and were dealing with other tables before even offering me a drink. On leaving I asked for the service charge to be removed as I felt that the service was poor on this occasion and as I was dining alone had been treated like i had a transmittable disease.

Excellent food from the daily 3 course menu, good value too. The choices are very French. Good service from the staff. We have. Even eating at Cote for many years, never disappoints

Very nice meal in pleasant surroundings with good, polite service at reasonable cost. Gluten free menu was excellent and varied. Ideal as pre theatre treat.

As usual, excellent service and very good food. There can be no better place to eat for value. There is always a pleasant atmosphere and pleasant service.

Very good service and the food was excellent as well.The only thing that was dissapointing was the lack of choice of sweets for customers who need a gluten and dairy free diet,only sorbet was available.

Not add good as last visit from a service perspective. Wine delivered with the offer to pour if passing, second course cutlery left in the vicinity of plates......not as efficient or charismatic as previous interactions.

As always excellent we had a excellent supper, it is a popular destination for my children when they visit. Many thanks, will come again very soon

a little slow with water refresh, but, otherwise,as good as usual. Excellent food and good ambience. The desserts were good and the fish very well cooked and presented.

The menu is very big with Excellent food and great service from start to finish Lots to choose from on the menu and very good desserts. I recommend the crepes.

Standard Cotes experience. Warm welcome, restaurant clean, neat and tidy, prompt, efficient service, good menu choice, very acceptable food for the price. That's why we keep coming back.

A fantastic meal as always with great service. Look forward to returning. The set menu that you do before 7pm is fantastic value which is why I’m guessing the restaurant was so busy.

We are very regular visitors to Cote Bury St Edmunds and, as always, the food and wine were delicious, the service friendly and efficient and the ambience relaxing.

Excellent food with a wide range of choice. Wonderful ambiance. Staff helpful and friendly . Good price if you go before 7pm. Restaurant very comfortable and warm on s cold Narch night!

We have been here several times .And on every occasion the food and service has been consistently good. It's always a good sign when you notice that they seem to hold onto their staff.

As usual a lovely dinner with such friendly and efficient young staff. The place was buzzing with people pouring in from 6 o clock onwards all with happy faces!

Very busy but still very good service and lovely staff. Food very nice but steak with the steak frites could have been a bit more tender.

Food was very tasty, service was good, was good value.

Good service made even better with a birthday dessert for the birthday girl. The complimentary wine for signing up to the news letter was most welcome :)

Great service, not rushed, nicely proportioned times between all 3 courses. Food was delicious as always! Last ones in to leave again! Worth every penny! Will be back!

The food was good together with the service but it would have been excellent if I would have been informed about the extra charge on the bill

Went for Mother’s Day but unfortunately booked too late for the brunch. We have breakfasted many times so this time we had dinner and this was just as good as usual.

As usual top class food for a very good price. Good service with friendly staff. Think 10% service charge is a fair option, not 12.5%.

From being greeted by a friendly smile at the door, my daughter and I were treated courteously and efficiently. The food was so tasty and the steaks so tender that the entire meal will remain long in our memories. The one drawback was the 12.5% 'tip' added to our bill. We would have preferred to decide on our own tip based on the service and food quality.

Cote always provides a friendly welcome, good service, pleasant atmosphere and well cooked and presented food. It is a regular choice for us when we go into Bury St Edmund’s.

Excellent attentive service. Friendly staff throughout. Food excellent and very reasonably priced. Reasonable number of diners for a Tuesday lunchtime, but nevertheless great atmosphere and efficient unobtrusive service. Looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent food (better than Cote Norwich) but slowish service even though the place was empty. Staff as friendly and efficient as ever. Three more words!!!

atmosphere really relaxing and food is excellent, service very friendly i would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, it's ideal for a meal before going to the cinema or if you've had a day shopping great!!

Set meal before 7.00pm good value, like every where nowadays drinks expensive, our £30 set meal turned into £65 after drinks and 12.5% service added.

The restaurant is a very pleasant space . My friend and I were catching up after not seeing each other for a few weeks and we were not hassled. The service is generally professional and efficient. While not anything exceptional, the food was tasty and well presented. I had the Jerusalem artichoke gratin ( delicious). Sea bass and the crumble. All good. Certainly recommend the restaurant for a good value lunch.

This is a very good restaurant experience, the staff are attentive, the menu is always interesting - with well prepared & presented dishes. Reliable place to enjoy the dining out.

Perfect mother’s day lunch. Good atmosphere food and service. Thank you. Table was ready as booked and food was well cooked and perfectly served. Kir Royales also very nice!
