Côte Bury St Edmunds

Superb lunch in lovely surroundings and very reasonably priced. This was my second visit and my meal was delicious. Will definitely go again, hopefully very soon.

A very good meal from start to finish, the atmosphere was relaxing and not too noisy and the service was excellent - very happy to recommend.

We had a lovely evening. The food was great as always and the service was good despite it being busy. Always a pleasant atmosphere at Côte Brasserie.

An enjoyable experience, interesting and flavoursome food served in pleasant surroundings by the friendly staff. The newly opened garden dining area at the rear is a great addition.

Lovely waiter, food, ambience. Left us alone to chat but were there if we needed anyone. Portions are the right size for a lunch time

I was made very welcome on my birthday and the food and service was 5 star. I look forward to eating there again soon as it is always a pleasure.

Good service & an interesting good value meal albeit quiet on a Sunday evening. I have nothing to add but apparently waffle up to 25 words is compulsory!

Food was good as always, but one of the starters was not as ordered, so one was finished before the other started. To be fair we were not charged for either starter and apologies were made, but ideally the correct starter should have been taken away and kept warm while the incorrect one was remade.

Fantastic meal, very friendly and attentive staff- I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The calamari starter was great and I can recommend the tuna Niçoise salad.

We had lunch to celebrate Grandad's birthday with three generations aged from 15 months upwards. The food suited everyone and the service and friendliness of the staff were excellent. Such a relaxed, comfortable setting.

The food was fine. The service was ok. But staff were breaking a lot of things, glasses etc which was making customers jump a lot and be unsettled.

Brilliant occassion. Very friendly staff, delicious dinner and drinks. Were off to a show afterwards, so service was prompt without rushibng us. Will definitely be back.

As usual, excellent food and service. I love the atmosphere in the restaurant and there is a really good choice on the menu. I will definitely return.

The menu was wide enough to offer a good selection and we both enjoyed the dishes we selected. The service was friendly and there was a nice environment in the restaurant with quiet background music and just the hum of conversations to enliven the place.

Early family dinner with our three teenage children. The staff here are fantastic and give great service. The food was great too with something for everyone. We’re looking forward to our next visit.

Our starters were luke warm and the main course was the same. One of our party sent hers back for reheating the other two just ate it. Despite this the food was very tasty.

Courteous and helpful. Listened to what we said - had to leave for the theatre at 7.00. So gave us speedy service. The food was very well presented and a good range offered.

Looking forward to the new garden opening at the back of the restaurant. Really good meal there tonight. The pain perdu was fabulous. Friendly service.

The food was very good but unfortunately the service was very slow as the restaurant was busy. It’s not the fault of the staff who are always friendly and helpful

Good menu with a nice variety of options. Excellent food & well priced. The only negative was that we started with some coffees as the weather was ghastly outside. The two empty coffee cups sat on our table for the next two hours even while our plates from each course were being cleared!

I always enjoy Cote & the food is excellent. Delicious calamari, steak & duck all cooked perfectly. We ordered creme caramel but creme brulee came instead & that was disappointing. However the service was very good.

The whole evening was very good from the waiting staff to the food you could not fault it. As usual a very good selection to choose from. Everything very nice.

Great food, good service. Only reason I haven’t given full marks is the optional service charge added to the bill, would be better to allow the customer to tip accordingly.

Forgot one main, another had to be taken back as potato cold. Understaffed, we love Cote but this is our third bad experience at this branch

The service was slow as had to wait 30mins for breakfast then got some bacon as requested crispy was not. Hubby drank his coffeee before breakfast arrived

I went for lunch with my Partner. We both had the Salmon Fishcakes, Fries, shared the apple crumble for dessert, all washed down with a glass or two of wine. Nice restaurant, very good food and attentive staff. Would definitely go again without hesitation.

Breton fish stew follows charcuterie - always excellent! Charming service and agreeable buzzy ambience. A clearly well managed restaurant with consistently first class standards of food and service.

As always, great meal, plenty of choice, four of us enjoyed it immensely, staff most helpful and friendly, hopefully we'll be coming along again very soon

Favourite restaurant! Great food and service every time. Have to try their new menus every month. Never has a disappointing meal at our local Bury St Edmunds restaurant.

The steak on the menu is an excellent choice. I have been twice now (Bristol & Bury St Edmunds) and on both occasions they were very good. My wife had fish however which had been in the freezer overlong and although edible not as good as it should have been. Starters are acceptable but nothing more. Wine prices are reasonable.

Went for breakfast at the weekend - lots of choice and reasonable prices - full English breakfast was great we would definitely return another day staff were also very helpful

Great service delivered naturally. Very tasty food and a comfortable place to spend the evening. Chose from the April specials and had a starter and main.

A Fabulous evening. I had only been to one other Cote restaurant (which I also enjoyed) however, the food here at Bury St Edmunds was exceptional. Service was prompt, staff very polite. The restaurant was very clean and well presented and the bathroom was very clean and well maintained. I can whole heartedly recommend this restaurant. Thanks

we enjoyed a very tasty meal, nicely presented in warm and comfortable surroundings and served at our table in a very polite and proper manner. It is one of our favourite places to eat.

Lovely restaurant, good food, great wine. No need to add a 12.5% (optional) service charge to the bill total though - I’d probably have tipped better than that anyway!

The mid-week lunch menu is such excellent value, coupled with quality, we almost always choose it. The premises in Bury St Edmunds make it a pleasurable experience.

Good staff. Service a bit slow but we weren’t in a hurry. Food was generally good despite the lamb chops being more towards well done than medium. We will still go back.

Service and food excellent as always. Been going to Cote since it opened and never been disappointed. Nothing too much trouble and brilliant discounted offers.

Service and food excellent but perhaps a little too efficient as the mbain course arrived before we finished our aperitif and bread and olives. The meal was delicious and the restaurant has a lovely ambience.

Great food and a great service. Only downside they add the tip, but you can get it taken off. Prefer to tip what I want.

Always smiling and polite staff. Food wasn’t as nice and the portion seemed smaller this visit perhaps they have a new chef. Nice Kir Royale with compliments of Cote.

Great place for a pre-cinema meal - efficient service delivered quickly and a great set of dishes

My friend and I had an early supper before going to the cinema. As it was early there were very few people in the restaurant. However, our waiter was very attentive and gave us as much or little time as we needed. We chose from the set menu and the food was delicious.
