Côte Bury St Edmunds

Can’t fault Bury St Edmunds with service or food - we love it. They did leave the free cocktails on the bill but no one minded and the charge was spotted and removed. 12 out of 10!

Welcoming, efficient and professional staff who were attentive, but not overbearing. There was an option for dining outside in the inviting garden terrace. Menu choice varied and good. Food excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting.

We dined at 8.15pm but they had already run out of the ingredients for the free cocktail although a Kir Royale was given as an alternative. All the mussels had run out as well. Struck me like the place may be closing down. This would be a shame as the staff work so hard but who ever does the ordering got it wrong.

Another fabulous meal, 3 delicious courses. Absolutely spoilt for choice with the extensive menu. As it was a nice afternoon we chose to sit out the back of the restaurant which has a lovely covered decked seating area outside. Excellent service as always.

As ever food was delicious though service was a bit slow between starter and main course. I do wish you would teach the wait staff not to lean over when serving, there was plenty of room round the table and it was unnecessary.

As Always my friend and I had a great lunch, food was so tasty, had a great aperitif to start followed by their house white, looking forward to our next visit

We always eat at Cote when we visit Bury. The food is always excellent, lots of fresh tastes without all the buns & chips! Services is always good, friendly & unobtrusive. Value for money, I don’t think you can get better.

As always the food was great but unfortunately on this occasion the service was very slow as they were incredibly busy for a Monday evening but no one came and spook to us and said I’m really sorry but......

Excellent food and good service, seemed to have 12%+ added to bill un-knowingly. Would recommend foe eating but ask for full bill so you know how much you have spent.

This was our second visit in one week! Never had a bad meal or bad service. Always a pleasure to be served by this great team.

We had a family meal at cote,s which was for two Birthday. It was nice, but a little disappointed this time not as nice as usual.

2 of us had the Steak frites. The steaks were both very tough. When we told the waiter he said "You're welcome!" He was Hungarian and clearly did not understand English. The addition of the garden this year is a huge bonus.

Was welcomed by friendly staff, service was prompt, food hot, Staff look after you from the time you arrive to when you leave. Never had a bad meal here, try to visit at least once a month.

We sat outside and had a delightful meal served by a charming young man who was most helpful and polite. Restaurant was busy but service was quite quick.

As usual, a great dining experience, good service and relaxed atmosphere (although background music a little too loud). Highly recommended for an early evening meal

Excellent food and service and we really like the atmosphere We haven’t been able to go for months and it was good to be back. The manager gave us a complimentary drink each so that was very nice of him. For us, my husband and I , it’s the best restaurant in Burt St Edmunds

Busy for a Monday night so a little wait for our mains, but we’ll worth the wait. My fillet steak was awesome, best I’ve had in a long while, would definitely go back again.

Restaurant beautifully cool on a very hot day ,but after a time it felt too cool! Took some time to place our order, and even longer to receive our food, a good half an hour. I had chosen the minute steak, something I have enjoyed many times before, but today it was tough. The head waiter was very apologetic, and deducted the price from the bill. Chocolate mousse was delicious, as were the French fries. Looking at other diners reviews, it seems that a frequent complaint is the slowness of service. Do look at this, as Cote has so much going for it, and is a place I have enjoyed going to in the past.

Hi. Once again we have enjoyed an excellent meal at Cote's of Bury St Edmunds. On this occasion my wife and I entertained my brother and his wife who were visiting us in Bury and they were very impressed with the quality of the food, the service and the great atmosphere making it a meal to remember. We have been many times and intent to continue to use Cote as our go to place to dine with family and friends.

We love Cote. The menu is the best value for money for variety and quality anywhere. We also love the free aperitif offers. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Good and helpful service. Mussels excellent and mains pretty good. Ate out of doors in pleasant surroundings. Wines were also good and good fresh sourdough bread.

We enjoy going to Cote in Bury St Edmunds, the staff are aways so welcoming. They give great service and the atmosphere is always relaxed.

We go to Cote on a regular basis and have rarely been disappointed, and that was only because mussels were unavoidable on that day . Still mussels were on the menu yesterday and they were fabulous. Even some of the staff remembered I was disappointed last time . That’s the nice thing the staff remembers you . Friendly, but not intrusive. I always book , so I can have Quandoo points , but on lunch times there is usually a bit of space .

Friendly hard working staff. Very good food and pleasant atmosphere. Its no wonder this branch is always busy when we have been there. We continue to return.

The 3 course set menu was lovely perfect for a sunny day and we sat outside in the light breeze, wonderful. It was my friends first visit she said she would definitely recommend Coates Brasserie to her friends and family.

The restaurant lived up to all our expectations, the staff were very friendly and attentive from the minute we arrived, having had the different menu’s explained we were then given plenty of time to settle in which suited our party. We all agreed that the food was excellent, and to cap it all our waitress even took a group photo which meant that nobody was left out. We will certainly return again.

Easy on line booking procedure Good varied menu to suit all tastes. Seasonal choices available. Well cooked and presented meals. Attentive, helpful and friendly staff. Clean, well presented and tidy restaurant.

The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The wine was wonderful too. I’m hoping to be back again to celebrate my birthday on the 5 July.

Another very enjoyable early afternoon visit to Cote at Bury St Edmunds. The stake Tartare from the starter menu was a very good choice, this was followed by rump of Lamb - also first rate.

The baked camembert was too hard but the staff were lovely i had taken 2 friends who had not been there before.it was good that one meal was great .

The 3 course menu is really good value. The food is always fresh and delicious and you get just the right amount. It's not piled up on your plate but you don't leave feeling hungry. Excellent service too. Great atmosphere in the Bury St Edmunds restaurant. Thank you.

We were greeted as we arrived, and made to feel very welcome. we were offered a choice of tables - inside and out. three different menus were offered to us - so plenty of choice! the food was delicious and served promptly. The manager - geoff - checked that we were happy. altogether a great experience.
