Wide choice on the menu, food cooked and presented well. Front of house is tight on staff numbers who are just coping, overall a welcoming and pleasant experience.

Staff friendly and efficient but because the restaurant was busy the service was very slow. The food was still very good with a very interesting selection.

Impressed yet again by the quality, service and price at the Bury St Edmund’s restaurant. The only downside was trying to actually book a table through Quandoo. My advice is to book directly with the restaurant.

Staff were extremely pleasant and service very quick and unobtrusive. Food was excellent and atmosphere relaxed. Had an early booking but lots of people already eating. Liked the new fixed menu.

Excellent food, friendly staff, lovely surroundings and great ambience. Not sure why I need to type twenty five words when nine would have sufficed but let me add this, we've booked our next visit in great anticipation.

Can't fault anything! Service was fantastic. All the staff are superbly trained and polite. The food was amazing and the price I must say I'd have expected to pay a lot more for the experience. Will 100% return. Highly recommend

Delicious food from a very varied menu. Particularly liked a choice of “light” mains. Excellent service - smart, friendly and efficient servers. Lovely atmosphere, cosy but spacious, busy but not noisy. Good for couples or meeting friends.

As always Cote Bury St Edmunds pulls it out of the hat, attentive service, fabulous food and such a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere, I could not fault this evening, but as I am always reminded by my conscience, there's a;ways room for improvement.

What a gem we have found in Cote Bury St Edmunds, great atmosphere, fabulous service and amazing food, also absolutely perfectly located for going on to the cinema or just a perambulation of the locale.

I have scored five out of a possible six because even though the service, atmosphere and food were excellent you were let down by errors on the bill, normally I don't check, but will be doing so in future.

Cote is my ‘default’ restaurant. The food is consistently good and the menu varies. The outside eating area is very pleasant. The staff are polite and helpful.

Very pleasant experience - ate outside making the most of the weather. Starter of pate was delightful and I was very pleased to have gluten free bread as an option as this was not the case at the nearby gastronome recently. Delightful touch to have gluten free flags for someone who worries about contamination etc. Steak cooked perfectly and amble condiments provided for the fries. Thanks very much!

We sat in a lovely peaceful court yard, the staff were appropriately attentive, and our complimentary G and T was welcomed and beautifully presented. Food arrived promptly, as we had requested a pre theatre meal, and was Obviously freshly prepared and delicious. I think Cote is one of the best value and consistent eateries in Bury St Edmunds, and is certainly a cut above all the other chains

The menus at Cote are always interesting and imaginative and the food consistently good. This time we all had a free gin and tonic too. We have lovely friendly and helpful staff at Bury St Edmunds and will certainly be back there very soon.

The food, as usual was very good. The service was on the poor side as there were clearly insufficient staff on duty to cope with the large number of customers. We arrived at 6.45 which should have given us more than enough time to get to our cinema for an 8.15 film. We had to miss dessert as we wouldn’t have had enough time to eat it. Normally this branch of Cote is known for its excellent service but they missed out this time. We will still go back though.

Nothing was mentioned about the free aperitif and I had to ask, only to be told they had run out so I was offered a kir royale. Fair enough, but when the bill came we'd been charged for it! They did remove it and my husband's beer as a gesture of goodwill. The food was as good as usual but the service left a lot to be desired; very slow.

Would have had a 6 but... food was delicious and great value for money and efficient friendly staff even when restaurant was almost full. The only "down" was paying the bill. There was already a 12.5% charge on the bill which seems obligatory these days but I always tip anyway, when we gave cash over the inclusive tip, the waitress asked if we would like change ??? Yes please it was £7. Tainted our visit sadly.

Love this place for its food, atmosphere and dedication from staff. We suggested where we would like to sit but the manager quickly pointed out that area didn’t have air con. Very caring as we would have melted on our proposed seats 😎😎
