Côte Bury St Edmunds

Côte was by far the best dining experience my husband and I have had in Bury st Edmunds so far. The staff was courteous and attentive, the food was impeccable, and the atmosphere was absolutely delightful. We can’t wait to dine with Côte again!

It's difficult to find something new to report because, as usual the standard of food and service were every bit as good as is usual at this branch. Occasional visits to other branches suggest that service can differ but this is inevitable.

Once again, a very pleasant meal was spent by my party of three. excellent food, surroundings and service. We will certainly return to repeat this experience.

Visited Côte on 02 January, the waitress explained a number of dishes were unavailable, apparently due to a very busy New Year's Eve. The restaurant was very quiet, but despite the shortages we enjoyed interesting and tasty food in relaxed surroundings. As ever, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and our visit was enjoyable.

Food and service first class, you can always depend on Cote. I had the risotto vert which was delicious and my friend had the steak frites which she said was really good

Very busy ,glad I booked with Quandoo ! Food wonderful and the staff welcoming and charming as always. Try the mussels, beautiful. That’s the stell fish not the waiting staff !! Lol

Lovely and delicious food with friendly staff. It was really busy so service slightly longer than normal but acceptable. Staff did not know about the special offers Cote emailed customers!

The restaurant was far to over booked. Which made dinners over run, therefore those who followed later like ourselves who had booked months in advance, were left with limited choices as the stated Menu had run out. The staff catered with the situation as best as they could, but overall it was chaos. Which we will not repeat. Poor show by Côtes as a company.🙁

We thoroughly enjoyed our night , the food was great and the atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing. We can’t wait to go back again ,highly recommended .

As always it was excellent service and the food was really well cooked. Lovely atmosphere with really attentive staff. The children’s menu deserves a mention as the quality is as good as the adult meals. Well done cote.

Fantastic in every way as usual - staff so helpful, food wonderful and I have no worries with my gluten free food. The atmosphere was great on Christmas Eve

Not a good idea to book on Christmas Eve when things are too busy, staff are tired or usual managers are on leave. We had four different waiters which meant two incorrect courses out of three were brought (ordered gluten free, got normal bread, etc) and we were constantly having to beg for service from anyone passing. The manager spent the first hour of our meal sitting at a nearby table and not filling in where he could. Luckily the chef was still on top form but we left feeling like we should have stayed home.

The food is always very good and they adapted it to our needs. The service we received was good, but not it’s usual high standard.

Wonderful atmosphere last Saturday. Excellent breakfast. Very attentive staff. We enjoyed the food tremendously and it was a lovely start to our Christmas festivities. Thankyou.

A wonderful time had by all, and the menus on offer were varied enough for all tastes and wallets, a most enjoyable evening from start to end.

Once again an excellent meal. There were several large parties enjoying their Christmas meal, but the service from staff was extremely good considering the numbers they were dealing with. We didn’t have to wait at all. Well done.

Great meal and waitress was great. But awfully slow service with 45mins - 1 Hour wait. Really busy but was very slow wait between courses

Excellent as usual. Superb coq au vin and imaginative starters. Busy Christmas time, but staff as cheerful and efficient as ever. Good "buzz" in the restaurant. Loos clean and tidy.

We always enjoy our dinners at Cote. Whenever my family visit, Cote is always their favourite place to visit, food is delicious and the staff are so nice.

Although very busy and service was very slow, we enjoyed our lunch nevertheless. For a quick lunch the service would not have been at all acceptable.

It was an exceptionally busy Friday evening when we visited Cote so we were prepared to have a longer wait for our food; however service was up to their usual professional, friendly, courteous level and the food was delicious as ever.

Cote has never failed to be anything other than good. The ambience, service and food are excellent. Being a family which has three coeliacs we have to be extremely careful where we eat...Cote is our safe option and we are never disappointed. We all love it. Thank you!

Restaurant was extremely busy with great seasonal atmosphere. As usual, staff were uniformly welcoming and engaging and food, excellent quality and value, was on the table with minimal wait. A great place for a great experience

We had friends join us for Christmas lunch and the food and service was excellent We all bad the chicken on the Christmas menu and it was so tasty and moist. Thank to all the wonderful staff and May they all have a lovely Christmas

Unfortunately the restaurant were experiencing a couple of staff arriving late for their shift which resulted in unusual poor service. The manager was apologetic and we appreciated the complementary drinks as compensation. It’s such a lovely restaurant so I’ll not be put off by our experience.

We had a lovely cosy Birthday supper together after the cinema. The tuna in my salad nicoise was particularly tender and tasty and they cooked it just pink for me. We will be back soon!

Good quality food, descrete yet efficient table attendance. Slight disappointment at separate charge for individual vegetable side dishes. Nice atmosphere for conversation. Although the restaurant was full, I found conversation overspill from adjacent tables acceptable.

This restaurant is always a great place to go! Friendly service & the food is always delicious! After a disappointing visit to the Cambridge branch it was great to go back to bury and know the service & food would be good also a really good atmosphere 👍👍👍

Prompt service and attentive staff considering I t was the Christmas Fayre and very busy in Bury St Edmunds. Food good and reasonable price. Will visit again.

Lovely lunch as always. Busy as Christmas fair on but staff coped well. Tasty menu and spoilt for choice. Apple crumble is always a favourite.

The usual excellent food and service even on a very busy evening. After many visits my wife and I always enjoy our meals there. Well done Cote.

We go regularly to Cote in Bury St Edmunds and combine it with going to the Theatre Royal. This time we had lunch (six of us) at 12 noon followed by seeing the ballet Beauty and the Beast at the Theatre Royal.

Hmm, not as brilliant yesterday as is usual but still pretty good. Only gripes were not enough vegetables with the main course and no potatoes which meant having to order some separately, annoying. Otherwise faultless.

We Thoroughly enjoyed it. We Will return! Would probably ask for a smaller portion for Mum it was slightly large apart from that it was very good.

Excellent food and great ambiance. Service a little slow but it was very busy. Good value for money. Staff very friendly. Choice of food, even on the set menu was very good.

The meal was very tasty, freshly cooked and hot. The cost was reasonable especially when using the special deals. The staff were very welcoming and adapted the food to our needs.

Cote is our default restaurant of choice. We’ve tried others in the chain but none come close to the one in Bury St Edmunds- we drive 45 mins from Cambridge to eat here at weekends rather than anywhere else

We only wanted something light so went for the mussels. They look a lot until you remove all the shells They were delicious and light. The source was fabulous. And they were just perfect. Staff great although very busy .

We loved the food and service. The food was very well presented. The soup was a generous portion and hot . The chicken main course had an excellent sauce.
