Always a pleasure to eat at this restaurant, the service and food are always good.

Pre theatre dinner was a really good start to our evening. Good choice on the menu and excellent value.

I visited with a friend prior to going to the theatre. We were shown to our seats and given menus. It seemed to take some time before our order was taken. Whilst waiting the restaurant was very noisy with customers and also staff dropping things like glasses. We ordered our food and what was brought out to us was completely wrong. The waiter apologised saying that his eye sight is not good so he put through our order again. When it arrived, it was correct and very tasty. I asked for a discount for the inconvenience which he gave us. This error made us slightly late to the theatre which was stressful. I use other Cote branches and have never had a problem.

As ever lunch at Cote was a pleasant experience. It was extremely busy which probably explains rather slow service - but they did apologise.Good value and tasty food

Our favourite restaurant for post cinema dining. As usual, all was as good as usual

Lovely place to meet friends and have a relaxed meal with good food. One of our party uses a wheelchair and this restaurant always accommodates in a discreet and comfortable way.

Superb cooking. PLEASE open a Cotes in Chester! See us tomorrow.

We are frequent visitors and are never disappointed with either the food or service. Our only gripe is the 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill.

First visit, very pleasantly surprised. Good unpretentious brasserie style food, freshly cooked and nicely served. A lunch set menu - hard to beat this for value. Service excellent. Busy and buzzing - hence unavoidable slight wait for food but small price to pay! Perhaps not the best option if you just want a quick lunch though - otherwise go for it!

It was a family visit for my birthday . We had completely cocktails and they accommodate my 2 year old granddaughter wonderfully, bring her food before everyone else’s so we could all eat together. Food was lovely and the staff as always friendly.

From the moment we entered the very busy restaurant the service was attentive, polite and relaxed. The food was delicious. We had the valentines menu and it felt very special. We will definitely return.

As ever, a very positive experience along all dimensions; welcome, food, staff. The only compliant is that what used to be background music (in any case, unnecessary) has started to get louder to the point of being annoyingly intrusive

A great evening with friends, who had not encountered Cote before, was a tad disappointing. The first selected red wine was not available as was my starter of "moules".

Wonderful warm welcome. All the staff are really friendly. The atmosphere is great and the food is always fresh Great choice if your a small eater or large .

The breakfast is very good there particularly the formula which is very good value. The service is usually very slick and the staff friendly. We like it.

Had the prestige menu..very good. Sadly, there were no gratin potatoes available and this was lunchtime. Choice of boiled or chipped was offered. Shortage could have been weather related. same problem with langoustine tails, but waiters were on the ball in telling us of the "no shows" BEFORE we ordered. AS ever a good experience

The food and Service were exceptional. Our waitress BLANCA was a joy. We will go back just to see her again and have a fun time!

I eat out a lot, but nowhere compares with the staff, service , delicious food and value for money as each time I visit Cotes.

Can’t complain about anything, could choose our table, soon got our drinks, food was excellent as was the service. Very attentive waiter and manager. Only down side was adding the service charge to the bill. I believe I should choose what I give according to individual service.

Cotes is for me. I ate there last night and will be there for supper again tonight. It is the best restaurant in town .

As good as ever. Waitress kindly allowed my wife to modify her dessert choice. The dessert menu on the set menu could do with a little more new things and more choice. Everything else is first rate.

Lunched at a peak time, 1pm. The restaurant was busy, but the service was very good, and the food as delicious and flavoursome as ever. The cassoulet was a perfect warmer on a very cold day! Excellent.

This is, by far, our favourite diner for pre and post cinema at Abbeygate. The atmosphere is always buzzy but without being overwhelming and the staff always engaging and welcoming. As ever, the choice and quality of the meals was of a high standard. Highly recommended

All good news at Cote. Very tasty well prepared food with cheerful young wait staff, a really enjoyable experience. Will visit again that's for sure.....
