Côte Bury St Edmunds

Food was good. Experience effected slightly by couple near us having an argument for pretty much all of the time they were there because one of them used to be in a relationship with one of the waiting staff. We were trying to celebrate our wedding anniversary

The Bury St Edmunds branch always delivers a consistently high level of service and good food. It’s a safe bet for a nice meal out & staff are always pleasant.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, polite and professional waiting staff, nice ambience. Excellent choice of food and drink, good quality food, well presented and good value for money.

This was a disaster of a meal due to a technological malfunction in the ordering system. But the situation was handled with consumate professionalism by the new manager...a one-off which hasn't dimmed our view of Cote

I've not been for a while (for no particular reason) and last night reminded me again what I had missed; a lovely atmosphere, attentive service without it being over the top, scrumptious food and not too noisy so I could have a fabulous catch up with my friend - I shall be back again, and sooner this time!

A wonderful meal, I have never had a bad one here, it was my Birthday today and the waiter made it extra special, the staff are always lovely and friendly, plus my friend was with me from Australia and she was very impressed too. Thank you very much.

Excellent service starting with a warm welcome and full details of our booking. Food was first class and although restaurant was busy it arrived quickly and hot! Bonus of a complementary bottle of wine for registering online. Best restaurant in Bury St Edmunds in our opinion

Nice welcome, very good food, good service, and we enjoyed our complimentary bottle of wine. We shall be back!

The food was lovely, however we felt very rushed. When we go for a meal normally we like to sit and enjoy it. We sat down at 8 and we had olives and bread, then starters and a main course all in the table before 8.30pm. If I’d have wanted fast food I’d have gone to a fast food restaurant.

Disappointed. Since Cote has become so popular, we've found it impossible to get a table as a drop-in, and last night we abandoned our meal. It took an hour and a quarter before we lost patience waiting for our mains to arrive having been told they were being plated up about 20 minutes before we left to go to the theatre. Shame, we used to enjoy Cote.

I had a fantastic pre show meal with my mum. The food was presented beautifully and was very tasty. The set menus are great value for money and don't compromise on product or flavour. Topped it off with the infamous cremé caramel. Delicious! Service could have been a bit more attentive and speedy but the team were very friendly and professional during all interactions and we had given ourselves plenty of time to enjoy our meal so all was well. I'll be back :)

Service was ok, but not personal. We received an incorrect bill, and then the replacement was also incorrect, so you need to check carefully!

Being asked to fill in this really puts me off. I tell the staff if there is a problem

We have been using cote brasserie in London and bury for many years now and we have always been happy with our meals be it breakfast lunch or dinner, but today we were utterly disappointed the bacon tasted boiled the sausage had no taste and generally had no taste to it unlike any breakfast we have been served in cote before. To finish even the waitress wasn’t very polite. Sorry to leave such a bad review but hopefully will be better next time G.H

Quick and professional service and overall the food was of good quality. The drinks were very overpriced ( and we weren’t shown a drinks menu to be made aware of this) and the £12 service charge (optional) was cheeky as 10% tip is usual and this was overpriced as well. Left a bad taste in our mouths and so for this reason we won’t be returning. Left the impression that the restaurant was trying to disguise the costs of drinks and service charges. VAT was added afterwards so loads of hidden charges!
