Côte Bury St Edmunds

I arrived soaking wet, the waiter kindly offered to get me serviettes to dry myself and my belongings. The waitress was friendly, helpful and pleasant. I enjoyed a lovely glass of rose wine (Comte de Provence) and the Poulet Grille which I love and tend to have most times. I also had a side order of French beans which were very nice. I will definitely return there in the future.

I went for lunch and the restaurant was very busy but this did not impact on the service at all. I enjoyed Calamari with side of French beans and both were delicious. I will definitely return to eat here again.

Our second visit to Bury St Edmunds Côte and it was even better than last time. Everything was just right- food, service, atmosphere and noise level. A most enjoyable lunch time and well worth the distance we traveled. We will definitely be back again soon.

Great occasion. When we arrived at 5.30pm, we explained that we had tickets for a show at a nearby theatre, so would need to leave at 7.10pm. The waiter was excellent - not rushing us at all - but ensured that we were able to leave as planned. The meal was delicious - 3 courses of perfection. Thanks so much.

We both had a fabulous lunch in the lovely Côte in Bury St Edmunds. The waitress was really friendly and the service was excellent. We both felt comfortable and safe at this difficult time. It has helped us gain more confidence to eat out. We will be doing it again at Côte.

My friend and I went here on Monday 23th May 2020, my friend ordered Ravioli Aux Chevre and a Green Salad and I ordered a Poulet Grille and a Creamed Spinach, both of which I have ordered many times before. My friend ordered a Diet Coke and I ordered a Meteor Sans Alcool. We watched as a waitress came out of the kitchen holding a large tray, we could see our food on it and as there were no other staff around so we tried to get her attention so we could have out food but she ignored so we watched it getting cold. Eventually another waitress appeared and finally gave us our food. My Poulet Grille looked very dry as though it has been sitting around for some time in the kitchen. I also noticed that the Creamed Spinach was missing so I asked her about that and she said that it was just coming. We waited patiently for a few minutes and it didn’t appear so we decided to start eating our lunch. It still did not arrive so we called the waitress over and she said it would be here soon, by that time we had eaten half of our meal. We then saw her go over to talk to a gentleman who I assume to be the Manager and he came over to the table. He apologised for the wait in relation to the creamed spinach, I asked him what the delay was and he said that they had forgotten it but that it would be here soon. By the time it eventually arrived, we had both virtually finished our lunch. It did not resemble the Creamed Spinach I had eaten before in Cote Restaurant. It was very hot and looked like it has been blanched to the point of it almost looking like mush, it was swimming in hot water and a slight bit of butter. There was no cream in it whatsoever. As we were so unhappy about the delay and the quality of the Creamed Spinach, they did not charge us and rightfully so. I was very disappointed as I regularly use Cote Restaurant all over the UK.

We love Cotes in Bury Saint Edmunds as the food is always delicious and presented lovely. The staff are very attentive and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.

I should imagine it would have been delicious if it had been open, we are in tier 4.

My wife and I had a fantastic Christmas Eve meal at Cotes, service was brilliant and the food was exceptional. We don't do often but will be from now on.

Staff are attentive, food delicious and a lovely atmosphere. Well done.

Came for breakfast, very good welcome and service throughout. Just a tad disappointed to not have the formule on the menu anymore. Other than that, food was spot on as were the staff.

warm hollandaise sauce to go with my eggs benedict. I was served it without any sauce. Eventually after a wait whilst my eggs cooled I was informed the hollandaise can't be warmed as it is made in advance. A simple Google search would prove this to be incorrect. I could only have cold hollandaise sauce or none at all. I didn't want a cold breakfast so went without. My husband and I use Cote as a treat and a Champagne Breakast on Christmas Eve was such a treat. No reduction in my bill was even offered in spite of my dissatisfaction. I've just realised you have charged me 12.5 % gratuity on this £35.90 bill. I'm not happy at all.

Lovely food and staff! Was given a complimentary drink as our wedding Anniversary, so nice... Would like to have seen some festive decorations. Apart from that, perfect!
