Very nice meal and was well looked after, the food was excellent, was not rushed while having our meal. T only thing it felt a little bit chilly
Always welcome, best Managers and staff in Bury stedmunds. Service is excellent. The food is always well presentd, and where approriate plates are nice and warrm.
Lovely food, with prompt service. The ambiance was good (even for 9am Sunday morning!). I would only have changed two things and they are pretty minor - a bigger table and a children's breakfast menu. Other than that is was a lovely visit. Would recommend and come again.
Thank you we had s very pleasant evening and the waitresses were excellent and attentive The food arrived promptly on a quiet Sunday evening and the food was served to a good standard off a menu we know well. Thank you
First visit an led very impressed Only been to London city branch before Great service and fab meal
Today we chose from the Prestige lunch menu. Delicious food, (calamari, chargrilled chicken, blackberry & apple crumble. My wife had baked goats cheese & seabass both accompanied by tasty vegetables.) - fantastic value

We had a very nice evening, with an excellent varied menu choice. The service was excellent and we were shown to our table as soon as we arrived. We also enjoyed the complimentary free bottle of wine. We are a regular visitor to Cotes and look forward to our next meal. Thank you.
Best location in Bury St Edmund's for a quality affordable meal with plenty of choices. Great staff great location and great food. that's all you need.
Wonderful service lovely food as always. Thank you. Great atmosphere!
Staff were very welcoming and helpful today at the Bury St Edmunds Cotes
This was a pleasant experience for my wife and I the staff friendly and food satisfactory. Good service and efficient staff. I pre booked our table and therefor no waiting to be seated on arrival. The quality of the food was top notch but to little offered.
Early evening catch up with friends. We all ordered from the set menu, which was delicious. The serve was attentive but not over baring. Really enjoyable evening.
Great lunch as always and friendly service It’s a great place to meet friends
Excellent - thankyou. We love coming here, the dining experience is just so good. The food, the service, every thing is great. Always look forward to coming back.
Hello, I had a lovely lunch today I was disappointed that an 'optional' 12.5% gratuity was added to our bill. When my partner went to pay on his card, there wasn't an opportunity to decline. I always leave a tip but i feel annoyed that this decision and amount was decided for me. I accept that this is often the case for large tables but for a table for two this is excessive and a sneaky way to make customers pay more. Kind regards Sarah
Generally, rather mediocre, the food was OK although rather pricey but the service was sloppy, trying to serve one dish before the first was finished.
Beautiful meal tonight. Every course was great and the staff were friendly and really professional. We travel from Colchester to eat here. Thanks Guys for a great evening.
Fabulous as always absolutely love cotes. Went with three other ladies tonight
Excellent food and staff. Regular visitor never had a poor experience there. Restaurant extremely busy, need a reservation at weekends. Shall continue to visit for breakfast, lunch and evenings
We love this place. It is calm and has great service. The food is consistently good, and great value for money.
Waited ages before being able to order drinks. Red wine ordered, but white brought. Main course very good, but they forgot the hollondaise sauce to accompany it.
Good table, Great beef and friendly service. Very pleased customer.
We eat here regularly. It is always a good experience. Great ambience, efficient friendly service, well prepared food and sensible prices. Well done Cote Bury At Edmunds.
The start of our first experience at Cote was brilliant, but come a change in staff, came a change in service. 25 minutes waiting for our bill.
Fantastic! Just loved it! Great setting and the food was wonderful! We have found that Bury St Edmunds Restaurants are far superior to the ones in Cambridge where we live!
very friendly and efficient staff and excellent food reasonably priced
Really good food and very good service. Slight issue with waitress having lack of knowledge of constituents of one of the dishes on the menu, this was resolved to our full satisfaction and did not detract from a very enjoyable dining experience.
Always a friendly reception with a choice of tables when possible. Good selection of dishes which are well presented and perfectly cooked. Must go more often.
We have used Cote in the Midlands before and were delighted to be told in Birmingham that we had a branch in BSE. We are particularly fond of real French food and the service style and know that is just what we get a Cote. We went on this occasion to celebrate my husband's 77th birthday. We also introduced out daughter and fourteen year old grandson to Cote (they are both planning further visits!). We were , as usual, impressed by the wonderful service and being able to eat and enjoy the company at our own pace. Food was exceptional. Incidentally the site of Cote is "my old bank!"
Amazing food, great atmosphere, wonderful service & staff. Would highly recommend. For a chain restaurant this is of an exceptional standard it never fails to deliver.
Excellent food and service as always and will certainly return.
Lovely meal but a very noisy large party and our server forgetting a few things made it bit less lovely!!
Delicious food served efficiently by delightful staff who were very interested in you and making sure your experience was a good one. We will definitely be paying another visit.
Great evening we were looked after from start to finish celebrating my Birthday always a great place to eat in Bury St Edmunds looking forward to returning soon
Great all rounder. Smart yet casual, efficient service and great well cooked straightforward food. It's ambiance is bustling, busy and chatty so not so good for a quiet or romantic meal.
The restaurant was chosen for my wife's mothers day dinner and I have made a great choice. The food was exceptional. The service was top notch, and the pleasantries from the staff was all around wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody. Also, the crème caramel and crème brulee were the best we've had in England so far!
Been too busy to eat out for 5 weeks now , what a great place to go if you want to treat yourself Just enjoyed some February specials including blood orange martinis the whole meal was prepared flawlessly the staff are great and helpful what a joy cote is to visit I urge all to try out this great brasserie you won't be disappointed I'm going back next week it's important to treat yourself
Nice atmosphere, good friendly service however the food was average.
Excellent May specials asparagus with hollandaise delicious, we can never resist the creme brulee especially with raspberries.
Staff polite and friendly, food varied and well prepared. Restaurant always exudes a busy but not chaotic atmosphere. A pleasurable experience again.
We had a wonderful dining experience at the Cotes Brasserie, Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday 13th March 2019 - Restaurant Manager Leighton, in addition to the waiting staff who served us so attentively, personally apologised for there not being salmon on the menu, then attended our table producing a wine bucket of iced water for the flowers that had been gifted to me, and lastly and very generously to my surprise, offered a complimentary glass of wine for my birthday. As a regular customer to the restaurant, on this particular occasion I felt thoroughly spoilt, and wanted to thank Leighton and his staff for making what turned out to be a most memorable evening. In gratitude, Emily Ford
This was the first time I've eaten at Cote and I have to say that on the whole, it was very pleasurable. It was my partner's birthday and the maitre d' was very friendly and accommodating, as were the rest of the staff. The food was delicious and far exceeded the quality I'd expect from a chain restaurant. All in all, a fantastic meal. My only grumble is the 12.5% "optional" service charge. £11.25 on a £90 bill is absolutely taking the p*ss and yes I know in theory that it's optional, but trust me, nobody enjoys having the conversation about removing it with the waiting staff. I'd have gladly left a £10 tip without being made to feel like I had to. This practice is, in my opinion, a nasty one. You're already no doubt making a tidy profit on the menu anyway, and I doubt that the staff see all of this service charge. Get rid of it and leave to to your customer's good will to reward the staff if and when deserved.
Lovely meal, ambiance, and good value for money. Very busy though, so service was a little slow at times. Would recommend, particularly for lunch or early evening.
This was the first time I had been for dinner and I will be going back again I had the seabass with the fennel and potato mash - that was really tasty. and had the apple crumble and vanilla ice cream for dessert ( I could have eaten another one) and had the Kir Royal as my aperitif :-)
After going here for lunch with a friend, I quickly returned for a dinner with my family! The menu has so many tempting dishes. Each item I have tried so far was exceptional from starters to deserts! This is my new favorite place to dine.
Overall, our experience was good. It was a busy day, obviously being Mother's Day but the staff were a little slow in taking our order for drinks initially. However, our food was good. My mother had the duck which she said was cooked to perfection. My seabass was also good although I found the mustard mash too buttery/oily.
very busy last night but service and food still very good as normal always a good place to go and chill would always recommend this place i had mussels and the tuna nicoise light and tasty as always
We had such a lovely lady serving us on Friday, she was heavily pregnant yet was still working with a smile and gave us great service!
A very pleasant experience. We had an excellent meal of chicken from the standard early evening menu. Beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were attentive and friendly
Bank holiday meal and the standard hasn’t wavered - still excellent both from kitchen and waiting staff. The chicken was well cooked and I loved the potato gratin. Tried the free gin cocktail thinking I probably wouldn’t like it but I was wrong, very tasty. Well done folks!
