Very courteous and efficient staff. Made use most welcome. Very pleasant dining experience.
Very efficient service, staff very friendly and helpful -this was the second time we had eaten here before going to theatre, and we will definitely come again!
Poor experience on arrival (Alex) claimed we hadn't booked properly so we couldn't have the free cocktails until we rebooked on our phones in the restaurant. Obviously didn't trust us !! Then proceeded to ignore us - we waited at the table patiently, but eventually had to summon a waiter to take our order. The manager ( Jeff?) took over looking after us and was excellent - he retrieved a bad situation. Why employ poor staff? you never used to - all our previous visits were very good. Probably will return, but nevertheless it was a disappointing evening.
Meal, service, all good. Steak one of the most well done I have had for some time. Restaurant is becoming one of the best in Bury district.
Bit scatty in terms of service. (Spilled my Martini, asked for napkin, received the wrong coffee- asked for a flat white, received the cappuccino - billed us for two cocktails that were meant to be complimentary. Oh dear.
Fantastic Cote in the center of Bury St Edmunds, By far the best one we've ever visited. Beautiful room, great staff and excellent food. Will definitely return..
Cotes brasseries’ has a ovely location and a Good atmosphere. Service was quick and patient and we were not rushed out for Saturday lunchtime. Food was delicious and well priced.
Excellent professional service and outstanding menu selection. The choice from three menus provides good value and the menu changes each month which makes it varied and interesting. Welcome and service is always delivered with a smile.
Prompt and friendly service. Lovely food. Nice Father’s Day treat.
Excellent food, service and ambience, as always. Best breakfast in Bury!

Lovely evening. Good food at a reasonable price. Waiting staff very friendly and efficient. All in all a great evening. Thank you
Excellent meal and superb, friendly staff. Evening was for a birthday celebration and on arrival a balloon was at the table, plus a glass of fizz for our daughter as well as an extra special dessert complete with candles and singing waiters !
Great service and food quality. We were served really quickly and our server Sam was really attentive and professional. We were a amily of five for breakfast. Highly recommend this place it never disappoints
Wonderful service Sam our waiter was very attentive polite and helpful. Lots of good choices in the menu, was difficult to pick. We will certainly come back.
Great team as always, Sam and Leighton saw to all our needs very professionally and efficiently. A tasty meal and great service - Thank you

As we had planned a visit to Bury St Edmunds ,the obvious thing to do next was to book a table for two at our Go To restaurant - which is still Cote . We enjoyed a lovely meal including the complementary glass of Kir Royale.
Delicious food, very nice setting, attentive staff all had steak good quality would recommend, never had a bad meal. Had the blood orange cocktail and 2 glasses of red wine very nice.
I've never had a bad meal in Cote, either here or in France, and the service is always spot on.
Great service and food as normal would recommend to all lovely surroundings and the staff always there to help you and the April menu is a must
Always a pleasant and rewarding experience at all levels. Food, service and ambience are always reliable. Fish Parmentier is a favourite - creamy and packed with fish
Good food, good service ... slightly too noisy but not your fault. Thanks for a nice lunch in spite of the very very busy restaurant. Online booking is good thing
Busy but a great evening, food and wine was excellent.
Cote is one of our favourite restaurants. It is always reliable and the Bury St Edmunds restaurant has extremely friendly and efficient staff. We mostly go for breakfasts but this time went for dinner. The starters (charcuterie plate and steak tartare) were excellent. My main (duck confit) was superb but unfortunately the beef bourguignon was less successful. Rather claggy and lacking in nice chunks of beef. Such a shame. It certainly wont stop us going again! The only other issue I have with Cote is the 12.5% service automatically added to the bill. We always tip but 12.5% is too steep.
Food was delicious 😋 & matched by the staff. We were so well looked after on Friday night that I booked Saturday and it was even better, steak 🥩 on night 1, duck 🦆 on night 2, both cooked perfectly. Fantastic 👍
Lovely atmosphere, staff very attentive, helpful and friendly, food was lovely and well worth the money and didn’t have to wait very long, will definitely be coming back, faultless.
Rump of lamb, tender and delicious . Followed by coffee. No room for more. Very busy today, but we had excellent attention from the staff. So good to see so many people enjoying their meal.

We took friends to enjoy a meal last evening and are pleased to say that they were most impressed. We knew that they were going to enjoy the whole experience as we are regular customers as a result of our own experiences. To make the evening start well the provision of complimentary G&Ts was impressive. The food, wine and service were just as we had hoped and all in all we had a most enjoyable time. Thank you, we shall be back quite soon!
Delicious food and excellent value on the set menu. Staff were great- birthday drinks for my sister which really made the lunch.
Eight of us were dining before going to a concert. We were all extremely happy with the service and food. The quality of the food was excellent and we would like to compliment the chef and staff in the kitchen.
The waitress got our order wrong twice and then charged us for a bottle of wine instead of glass.
It was actually one of the best meals ever at Cote. The staff were excellent and the fish main courses were cooked to perfection.
Attentive friendly service, great food, plenty of choice & pleasant relaxed atmosphere, not rushed
Absolutely lovely meal - food was excellent, service was great, overall superb evening
Excellent food and service. Have been many times and have never been disappointed. The complimentary gin and tonic was an extra treat. Good that the menu is changed monthly as some places always have the same menu. It encourages us to come once a month to try something new.
Great service and great food - it was my dads birthday so they gave him a free drink which was a lovely gesture. Enjoyable atmosphere where we weren’t rushed. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again
All dishes enjoyed by all diners, I just query the difference between Moules Mariniere and Moules a la Crème. Although menued as Mariniere, mine seemed more like a la Crème, but were delicious whatever they were, and I would certainly have them again.
Lovely service, good food, unfortunately both steaks ordered were overcooked but were quickly replaced without quibble and actually taken off the bill. All in all would recommend.
Exceptionally friendly restaurant with quality food offering. Free service was very prompt so perfect for pre theatre dining. My steak was generous and perfectly cooked . Sides were generous too.
As always, beautifully cooked food presented simply. Pork belly was succulent and the jus was tasty. The extra beans were crunchy but cooked and the minty peas zinged. A pleasant atmosphere and polite service although a little slow. Only disappointment was failure to have cheese board (low sugar option) on the set menus. Oh, and don't forget that Cote addeds 12.5% automatically to your bill as a service charge!
Food was really good, nice atmosphere, friendly staff......just not enough of them and service was far too slow. (Wouldn’t put me off going again though)
Lovely food, ambience and staff. It was busy so after main courses service was a little slow but overall experience was wonderful and we will definitely return.
Friendly service and prompt attention from staff coupled with good food at a sensible price makes this restaurant the best in town!! Thank you all.
We were given a very warm , friendly welcome from Jeff the manager and Sam, the charming waiter. We enjoyed the complimentary gin and cucumber aperitifs and the two chicken dishes were delicious with mushrooms and potatoes Anna. Having had garlic bread to start we were too full for dessert! The only mishap was that we were charged for the aperitifs , which I had booked on line as a special offer. However, when my husband rang to say that the bill was more than it should have been, jeff said that we could call in and receive a refund, so all's well that end's well!
Lovely atmosphere and table tucked away so we could enjoy conversation
Visited here for a pre theatr meal. Very enjoyable, I had the french onion soup my husband had the mussels, both very tasty . The steaks were cooked to perfection. Nice ambience about the place and lovely and warm.
Very quick service, very polite staff. Food great, very tasty. On line booking very easy and straight forward. Not happy that tip was put on the bill automatically.
It took a long time for someone to take our order and then it took over half an hour for the food to be bought to us.
Delicious birthday meal steak frites and crepe Suzette yum. Free elderflower gin and tonicMarch promotion and a complementary glass of fizz for my birthday lovely staff
