Côte Bury St Edmunds

Another lovely evening at Cote BSE. The staff are friendly and professional and make you feel very welcome. The food, as always, was amazing - cooked perfectly and presented very well. Great menu lots of choice and monthly specials. We will be back very soon

Food was fabulous. A little waiting time but overall a lovely place with very pleasant staff. Charcuterie board a must. Pork belly was so delicious

During our stay in Bury St Edmunds, we visited Côte three times. There is an extensive menu and everything we ordered was perfectly cooked, full of flavour and good value. The service was great - vert friendly, welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service, good food and drink, though my peach crumble was completely tasteless. Also, along with many others, my drink tastes are now gin based and I was disappointed you have not got around to stocking pink gin.

The food quality remains consistently high at Côte in Bury St Edmunds. Even the simplest items on the menu are perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Favourites are the Breton Chicken and the amazing French onion soup!

Excellent place, we frequently eat here, the menus have lots of amazing dishes with a wide range of appetisers and alongside that the staff are amazing and we have always had good experiences while dining.

Staff excellent very attentive, good menu,pleasure to eat there, very good value for money.would go again in preference to many other establishments.look forward to the nexttime

Everything excellent particularly the staff but main course took one hour to serve. Service charge shouldn’t be automatically added to customers bills but gratuity at customers discretion

Meal and service excellent as usual apart from a couple of downfalls. The boudin noir starter was lovely apart from the poached egg being overcooked for my taste. The Fish Parmentier comprised mainly praws with some salmon - very little cod and haddock. Complimentary cocktails were delicious.

I booked the table for my daughter's 12 birthday as it's her favourite restaurant. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would particularly like to mention Sam who made an extra effort with our daughter and we felt nothing was too much trouble, to even arranging for her to take home a little chocolate fondant with a candle, after encouraging other diner to sing "Happy Birthday" a truly valuable member of your team, please again pass on our thanks and gratitude.

As always an excellent and enjoyable experience. The quality of food and the professionalism of staff is exceptional. There is something on all three menus to suit most people.

The meal was absolutely superb. Wonderful flavours and presentation. The staff were their usual helpful and pleasant selves. The atmosphere is perfectly relaxed yet efficient. What more could one ask. Still currently one of our top two reasturants.

We had an Absolutely brilliant service and the food was excellent. My birthday and we had a free drink and dessert. Great night all round for everyone.

We really enjoyed our visit to Cote. The only thing we would say is that whilst we understand the set menu is very reasonably priced and we shouldn't expect too much but it would be nice to have had for example some peas with my husband's steak and chips and I would have like some form of potato to be served with my bream and greens without having to spend extra on a side order and it would also have been very welcome to have some bread served with my husband's starter of bacon and egg salad and definitely some bread with my soup. Also a wafer and some sauce with my husband's ice cream and a small biscuit or wafer with my iced berries would have been much appreciated. The suggestions above would have made such a difference to our meal. We love coming to Cote for the service, atmosphere and great tasting food but find the portions served a little mean.

Risotto totally delicious. My husband's minute steak excellent. My cup of hot chocolat one of the best I've had. Wine excellent. Only slight drawback- so busy that we had to wait rather a long while to give our order, therefore no time for pudding (arrived very promptly for 1.0pm booking, but we had to be at Theatre for 3.0pm matinee). Shall no doubt return, though we come to Bury infrequently. We do eat at other Cotes, and are always pleased.

Service, food and atmosphere all very good. Would be better if the complimentary water jars contained really cold water instead of lukewarm. Particularly enjoyed my starter of cos lettuce, walnuts and cheese.

Superb all round. The French Bread is proper French bread from France. The staff are frien dly and helpful and the food is delicious and beautifully cooked.

We had a lovely evening at Cote Bury St Edmunds. All staff were friendly and very helpful and the food delicious. I would recommend. It is best to book as they get very busy.

Awful valentines meal out. Took ages to get drink and food and had to leave before desert as had been there 2 hours with a lot of waiting. The staff extremely apologetic and gave us discount , however has put us going back again . We have never been disappointed here before but perhaps they over booked tables and understaffed

All four of us had a great meal with quick service so that we at the Theatre well on time.

The welcome, menu, service and food were all very good. Three guests, three different choices of main course, and all agreed it was enjoyable, good quality food. As I come to Cote quite often, it would be nice to see changes on the dessert menu. I have worked my way through them. Delicious, but surprise me with something new!

A very busy Saturday night and still the service and food were excellent. All cooked to perfection, the duck was beautiful and the creme brûlée divine. Never rushed or long waits for anything overall a fantastic night. Thank you to the lovely waiters and waitresses who worked very hard.

We usually go to Cote's early in the evening and then go on to the theatre of concert afterwards. Their restaurant is pretty full even early which is always a good sign for any eating establishment. We always pre-book through the internet which is an easy process not like on some websites. The menu is varied but not too much of a massive choice which suits me just fine.

Saturday 20th April was a lovely day! Not only was it our 51st Wedding Anniversary but we had a beautiful meal in our favourite Cote. Jeff, Alex and the team at Bury are to be congratulated on providing such good food in a wonderful atmosphere. We shall be returning soon.
