Food was fabulous. A little waiting time but overall a lovely place with very pleasant staff. Charcuterie board a must. Pork belly was so delicious
Great food and service frendly atmosphere. Really good waitress and very attentive. Good choice of food and wines. Would recommend to other people. Will return in the future
Excellent food and great service as always. Never disappointed, keep up the good work!
Very tasty meal ,everything ordered was to perfection. The service was 1st class too . My only gripe us that I planned to has the black pudding starter and mussels as a main but both sold out today. I'll be back here for sure.
Four of us went for lunch on Sunday. We all had delicious food - mains and puddings for all. The service was excellent, just the right amount of interaction. We would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.
Top class food with a very good selection. The service is first class and everybody is very polite.I rate this the best restaurant in Bury St Edmunds.
The food was excellent the service lovely I had to ask for my starter and the side dish for mains they were very apologetic but this could have been avoided by checking the order back to the customer
A stylish restaurant with an elegant decor. The early evening set menu offers fantastic value for money. Service was with a smile and very efficient.
Wonderful evening as a family we were celebrating two generations birthdays Food and service was excellent
The wait for food was far too long - 45 mins for main course. The restaurant was also cold. ? Problem with air conditioning. I am at regular diner and this was far below my usual experience.
No point in writing reviews as nobody takes any notice. Out of goodwill I have twice pointed out a problem, but yhhave been ignored. Shame nice staff.
My wife and I have been to Cote Brasserie Bury St Edmunds many times since it opened and last night's visit was excellent as usual. A good atmosphere , good food (well sized portions) and excellent service made for another very nice evening.
Excellent food and lovely atmosphere welcoming as ever and staff always courteous. Would recommend for couples and small groups. Prestige menu is good value for money.
Wonderful meal in a lovely setting. Service friendly and relaxed. Will definitely be back
Great food, lovely staff and excellent service. Wonderful evening with our family. Best French restaurant chain we have found in UK.
This was our first visit and were warmly welcomed and shown to a choice of tables. The restaurant is very roomy and pleasant decor. The knowledge of the waiting staff is very good and different staff attended our table which was a pleasant change as it can be frustrating if your "allocated" server is particularly busy and less busy servers will not attend to you because it is not their "area/table" . The food was all excellent, the prawn starter, one of which tweaked to suit our palate. A beef and chicken main were both delicious and very well cooked. Once minor issue I had was the sugar syrup on the carrots, in my opinion not needed. A very good and varied selection of sweets made the choice very difficult, but the Lemon Tart and Crepe were very nice, perhaps a choice of ice cream rather than cream? An exceptional visit; good food, service and surroundings. We did not have to wait for our meal but the restaurant was not over busy. The meal was not cheap but we did not feel over priced for the quality of the food.
Always a pleasant and rewarding experience at all levels. Food, service and ambience are always reliable. Fish Parmentier is a favourite - creamy and packed with fish
Food was delicious 😋 & matched by the staff. We were so well looked after on Friday night that I booked Saturday and it was even better, steak 🥩 on night 1, duck 🦆 on night 2, both cooked perfectly. Fantastic 👍
Food was good as always the rubarb cocktail was superb.
Rump of lamb, tender and delicious . Followed by coffee. No room for more. Very busy today, but we had excellent attention from the staff. So good to see so many people enjoying their meal.
We took friends to enjoy a meal last evening and are pleased to say that they were most impressed. We knew that they were going to enjoy the whole experience as we are regular customers as a result of our own experiences. To make the evening start well the provision of complimentary G&Ts was impressive. The food, wine and service were just as we had hoped and all in all we had a most enjoyable time. Thank you, we shall be back quite soon!
Eight of us were dining before going to a concert. We were all extremely happy with the service and food. The quality of the food was excellent and we would like to compliment the chef and staff in the kitchen.
Lovely food and excellent service as always. Food good well presented and good value for money. We always enjoy coming to this restaurant when in Bury
As always it is an enjoyable experience when visiting and eating at Cote Bury St Edmunds. The staff are extremely professional and always greet you with a warm welcome and a smile.
Every thing about the restaurant awas absolutely terrific except for an over noisy barista at the lunchtime service. Otherwise no complaints at all. I am a regular customer.
Having eaten at every other restaurant in bse, Cote is consistent with quality and staff performance, its our favourite restaurant which we use 2/3 times per month, we cannot fault it, Thank you to Geoff, Leyton and Katie for making each visit great Peter and Edith
Early evening catch up with friends. We all ordered from the set menu, which was delicious. The serve was attentive but not over baring. Really enjoyable evening.
Great lunch as always and friendly service It’s a great place to meet friends
Excellent - thankyou. We love coming here, the dining experience is just so good. The food, the service, every thing is great. Always look forward to coming back.
Hello, I had a lovely lunch today I was disappointed that an 'optional' 12.5% gratuity was added to our bill. When my partner went to pay on his card, there wasn't an opportunity to decline. I always leave a tip but i feel annoyed that this decision and amount was decided for me. I accept that this is often the case for large tables but for a table for two this is excessive and a sneaky way to make customers pay more. Kind regards Sarah
Generally, rather mediocre, the food was OK although rather pricey but the service was sloppy, trying to serve one dish before the first was finished.
Lovely meal and enjoyed by my family Staff and food up to expectations at our favourite restaurant in bury st edmunds looking forward to our next visit and hope another free bottle of wine which was superb last night
Beautiful meal tonight. Every course was great and the staff were friendly and really professional. We travel from Colchester to eat here. Thanks Guys for a great evening.
Excellent food and staff. Regular visitor never had a poor experience there. Restaurant extremely busy, need a reservation at weekends. Shall continue to visit for breakfast, lunch and evenings
We were given a very warm , friendly welcome from Jeff the manager and Sam, the charming waiter. We enjoyed the complimentary gin and cucumber aperitifs and the two chicken dishes were delicious with mushrooms and potatoes Anna. Having had garlic bread to start we were too full for dessert! The only mishap was that we were charged for the aperitifs , which I had booked on line as a special offer. However, when my husband rang to say that the bill was more than it should have been, jeff said that we could call in and receive a refund, so all's well that end's well!
It took a long time for someone to take our order and then it took over half an hour for the food to be bought to us.
This was the first time I had been for dinner and I will be going back again I had the seabass with the fennel and potato mash - that was really tasty. and had the apple crumble and vanilla ice cream for dessert ( I could have eaten another one) and had the Kir Royal as my aperitif :-)
Good food. Service very friendly but a bit slow. Water should be served at the start/straight away.
Bank holiday meal and the standard hasn’t wavered - still excellent both from kitchen and waiting staff. The chicken was well cooked and I loved the potato gratin. Tried the free gin cocktail thinking I probably wouldn’t like it but I was wrong, very tasty. Well done folks!
Had a fantastic time, it was really busy and the staff were buzzing around but they were so helpful, considerate and attentive. Because of the number of people in there, it was a little noisy but it did not in any way spoil the experience and the food was great as ever. Definitely my favourite restaurant in Bury St Edmunds.
Good menu good food good service very satisfied with our lunch as we have been on our previous half a dozen visits. will certainy visit again soon
We really liked the shape of the menu. The feeling of a real French brasserie. Even though, we understand, the chef is not French, we could not tell the difference and enjoyed every dish we ordered. Even real french bread rather than the supermarket equivalent. Our only quibble would be with the cappuccino where the milk was overheated and there should have been a double shot of espresso.
All four of us had a great meal with quick service so that we at the Theatre well on time.
Excellent food, great menu choice, staff brilliant a super early evening all round will definitely be back again soon
The welcome, menu, service and food were all very good. Three guests, three different choices of main course, and all agreed it was enjoyable, good quality food. As I come to Cote quite often, it would be nice to see changes on the dessert menu. I have worked my way through them. Delicious, but surprise me with something new!
We were completely satisfied with the food, service and ambience. All the staff who served us demonstrated a friendly and efficient attitude. No hesitation in recommending this restaurant.
Efficient polite friendly customer service as always. Lovely food, arrived promptly and hot. Good price, lovely ambience Highly recommend to all
A very busy Saturday night and still the service and food were excellent. All cooked to perfection, the duck was beautiful and the creme brûlée divine. Never rushed or long waits for anything overall a fantastic night. Thank you to the lovely waiters and waitresses who worked very hard.
Lovely lunch today. Menu very good value and the staff are very nice hopefully we'll be b back soon. Doc more words needed I am a fish
Saturday 20th April was a lovely day! Not only was it our 51st Wedding Anniversary but we had a beautiful meal in our favourite Cote. Jeff, Alex and the team at Bury are to be congratulated on providing such good food in a wonderful atmosphere. We shall be returning soon.
