Difficult one this. Not impressed with some stuff but other bits were good. Question ? Why do u do this survey less than four hours after we leave the restaurant? Seem at little bit desperate to get some feedback.! Great to see you open with ok covid requirements. We ordered hordevers as a starter as didn’t want a starter. Half way though eating our mains arrived so we had them together. Partner asked a manager and he said this is normal as you only wait for someone to finish a starter normally before you serve mains. We both would have preferred to have finished before our mains arrived. My partner Seabream was excellent. My Steak was order medium to well done and when it arrived it looked a bit rare. I decided to try it out and found it undercooked to my taste. I took a photo as I wondered if I’m being a little bit finicky as I understand cooking steak can be subjective. Comparing that photo to some I’ve found on the internet they suggest it was rare. I have a dietary issue with uncooked meat and I found it difficult to finish the meal. Not wanting to complain as I had tried to eat about half of the more cooked areas of the steak I thought I’d just let it ride but my partner noticed my discomfort and did ask me about it. The cheese dessert was excellent but my partner suggested she would have liked a cracker option rather than just bread. The service was good with all the table servers being good and covid aware. I realise this was your first night open and realise it was very busy but cooking steak to medium well means to me no red in the centre and my photo shows you didn’t. If you want me to email the photo I will. This is why I have given you only 2 stars.. My partner would probably give the food 4 stars.. My partner asked about a NHS discount as she has been having a busy time recently but personal it gets to me bit that she does this so when your manager declined she wasn’t happy but I told her you’re had a hard time too so please let it drop. Perhaps you might want to have a policy /acceptable decline statement for your staff to be able to handle this. Overall the restaurant did well with front of house staff doing their best in weird times but my food wasn’t up to standard.

Fabulous overall. The only complaint was mums dessert (which she did not get charged for) apparently was cold and rubbery. I enjoyed it so much I have booked for tomorrow night for my husband and I to try the lobster. It's great to have cote open again.

Very polite and helpful staff, lovely food. Each time we have eaten here the food has been delicious, no complaints at all, reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend a visit, can’t wait to go again!

Second time we have eaten here and was as good as the first time. Food is excellent as is the service. Only gripe we have is having the service tip added to the bill.

We had breakfast here this time but we have eaten at other times too. Food was lovely as always and the service was excellent. A great place to eat and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Amazing as always, just one tiny critique as I told our waiter, the roquefort butter with my steak was way too strong more butter less roquefort please, otherwise perfect! Luckily I scraped most off as the steak would be lost in a sea of cheese!.

This time, we were having a pre-theatre dinner. Rapid service was important to us, and the staff delivered. Not only were they attentive, but also absolutely charming. As usual, the food was wonderful - we were reminiscing over dinner and realised that in several years of dining at Bury St Edmunds Côte we have never been disappointed!

Food was great - service really quite slow. I am a regular visitor at Cote and am rarely disappointed with the food but do wish there was more in terms of vegetable accompaniment. Meat/ fish and a potato dish doesn’t make a meal and it would be good to see a portion of vegetables included rather than needing to be ordered separately.

I immediately felt relaxed, the waitress was friendly and welcoming and she didn’t continue to bother us throughout the meal which was refreshing. The food was was absolutely gorgeous. The whole atmosphere makes you want to return again and recommend to family and friends. I thought the staff were so professional, especially the guys carrying to the food to the tables. I can’t wait to return.

Excellent service and excellent food . We have become regular diners at Côte and enjoy every visit. The staff are always very attentive and nothing is too much trouble.

Everything was perfect, from being greeted at the entrance, taking our order and presenting us with truly delicious food. Even though our visit was early evening on a Saturday and the place was filling up quickly we never felt rushed and didn’t wait long between courses. We were asked several times by different members of staff if everything was to our satisfaction and would we like anything else.

This was our first visit and were warmly welcomed and shown to a choice of tables. The restaurant is very roomy and pleasant decor. The knowledge of the waiting staff is very good and different staff attended our table which was a pleasant change as it can be frustrating if your "allocated" server is particularly busy and less busy servers will not attend to you because it is not their "area/table" . The food was all excellent, the prawn starter, one of which tweaked to suit our palate. A beef and chicken main were both delicious and very well cooked. Once minor issue I had was the sugar syrup on the carrots, in my opinion not needed. A very good and varied selection of sweets made the choice very difficult, but the Lemon Tart and Crepe were very nice, perhaps a choice of ice cream rather than cream? An exceptional visit; good food, service and surroundings. We did not have to wait for our meal but the restaurant was not over busy. The meal was not cheap but we did not feel over priced for the quality of the food.

The evening started with a warm welcome. The waitress service was impeccable. The food - we had three courses! - was delicious in every detail. We were looked after very well throughout our visit and a warm farewell as we left. What more could one ask. We had a wonderful evening, thank you.

We had a lovely time there with our Friends. The Food was Wonderful and our waiter was extremely helpful and very friendly, will definitely be going again.

I could not fault anything, the food and service were excellent. This is the first time I have been to a Cote Brasserie and will certainly return.

Service staff were excellent from the minute we arrived. Food was delicious, plenty of choice.

We had a lovely chilled out evening. Tables a little too close to each other but great atmosphere. The service was not that great. Waiters forgetting to bring water, sauces. However the food was amazing.

The food was lovely however food service was slow. We ordered dessert and the waitress seemed confused so we confirmed the order. The dessert cutlery came and mine was missing. The desserts came and mine was missing. By the time everyone had finished their desserts, mine came. When we paid, we asked for the 12.5% tip to be taken off the bill due to the mistake. They came with the card machine and we split the bill but, when we left we realized they had added £20 something extra that wasn’t on the bill. Really lovely food but, disappointed with the service.
