Delicious food, quick and attentive service on a busy night, good atmosphere, great for both meat eaters and vegetarians alike. This was our first visit, and certainly won`t be our last.

Easy to book by internet. Loved the idea of an early evening menu - at a very reasonable price, too! The service was excellent, as was the food which was beautifully presented and so tasty. Loved the drama of the waiters/waitress's holding the tray, while the other served the meal.

Lovely food, ambience and service with a very reasonable set menu mon-Fri but the portions are small. Our mains were delicious; chicken with mushrooms and mash and steak frites. The small starters of soup, mushroom brioche and egg and bacon salad were OK. Our 6 and 9yr olds were not full after the kids cod goujons consisting of 2 very small thin strips of fish, very overcooked frites and a tiny portion of peas. We also felt the potato gratin was far too salty and peppery for accompaniment to the roast chicken on the children's menu. That said, the adults enjoyed their meals and so we would go back and order the set menu for the whole family.

It was too busy and the service was late. The steak was overcooked despite clarifying to the waiter that it should be rare and being assured that it will be cooked accordingly. We had always enjoyed eating at Cote in the past but this visit was a disappointment for us. i am afraid I won't be visiting them again in future.

My Breton Fish stew was lovely - top marks. However, my wife's salmon had a severely blackened skin which just needed a minute less under the grill.

The usual quick service and cheerful staff especially as it was a hectic week. We all had the Belly pork which was really tasty with the braised cabbage. the crab starter was good maybe needed an other slice of bread. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Good service, excellent food, pleasant ambiance in Bury St Edmunds. The setting, in a former old bank creates a formal yet relaxed dining environment. Used often and will use again

Good food, slow service. The staff were polite and courteous but slow. Price was just about acceptable but we were not shown the specials menu showing the reduced pricing if ordered befor 7pm. We arrived at 6:15pm so it should have been pointed out.

Warm welcome, delicious food, excellent and efficient service staff which together made our celebration a most enjoyable occasion. Have often passed my recommendation to go to Cote to other friends and in fact noticed 2 of them in Cote last evening so the message has got around.

Pleasant staff and atmosphere. Evidently a very busy evening for the waiting staff as on 3 separate occasions over the course of the main were glasses dropped and broken by them. Food was nice, if not perhaps slightly 'caught' on the grill. Wine was pleasant. Would recommend as perfection cannot be expected at such a busy time of year.

Good service with a friendly waiter who gave us plenty of time to chat before ordering, didn't hassle us but was there when we needed him. By 9pm none of the toilets had any toilet paper in them - hence 5 rather than 6.

It was a Sunday so quiet in our restaurant, which suited us all. Pleasant and efficient staff and the food was good with the exception of the King Prawns (December Special) which were few, halved and difficult to eat - not worth the money for them. We had 3 courses each and had a lovely evening. Would go again.

Five of us went to Cote last Saturday. The food, service and general atmosphere of the restaurant were all of a very high standard. Before retirement beckoned I had four restaurants of my own and I would of been very happy to have the tall young man who served us ( we were sitting fairly near the kitchen door, working in anyone of my restaurants, he was excellent. I was at another restaurant in Bury St Edmunds on the previous Tuesday evening, this cost me twice the price per head as Cote and I enjoyed Cote equally. My Squid followed by Belly Pork were both very good and I loved the fact that we where both very comfortable, without being crammed in by other tables. A really enjoyable experience.

Use this restaurant regularly for both business entertaining and pleasure. It never disappoints on either quality of food or service levels. Optional service charge added to bill is annoying. Always ask for this to be removed and leave cash tip at my discretion - service should come standard and not as an extra!

Bitterly cold evening on Friday 8th December. But nice and warm in Cote and staff attentive but not over attentive. Packed with people. Good food and good value for money. We have been to about 6 different branches and the standard is always good.

The restaurant was very much like French bistros I have been too. Quite authentic. The service was good, and the food was good. I had duck which was cooked perfectly. The wine was a good price as was the quality. I would have liked a little basket of French bread with the meal. Very enjoyable.

Excellent food and service. First class wine at reasonable prices. For a small chain the food was very authentically French. The warm bread was great together with the Christmas set menu. Magnifique
