During our stay in Bury St Edmunds, we visited Côte three times. There is an extensive menu and everything we ordered was perfectly cooked, full of flavour and good value. The service was great - vert friendly, welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend.
Great food with no wait , lovely helpful and friendly staff . The venue has a warm ambiance. Will definitely go again. Ideal for family gatherings
Excellent food! We are frequent customers and the location in town is ideal!!
My partner and I often visit this restaurant for lunch and we have never been disappointed. Good see, good ambience and great food, what Moore do you need.
Everything excellent particularly the staff but main course took one hour to serve. Service charge shouldn’t be automatically added to customers bills but gratuity at customers discretion
As always an excellent and enjoyable experience. The quality of food and the professionalism of staff is exceptional. There is something on all three menus to suit most people.
Excellent value for money , great service Had the pre 7 special menu , good choice on each course and nicely cooked and presented dishes . Good quality coffee to follow .
We use Côte fairy regularly, but tonight’s meal was fantastic, would thoroughly recommend this restaurant, great food great staff. Thank you for a lovely evening.
We both had the Prawn Gratine followed by the chateaubriand. Both were excellent and we can thoroughly recommend these dishes
Cote shows how it should be done! As always, a lovely evening at Cote, food, atmosphere and service spot on. June special starter, tomatoes and goats cheese with olives goats cheese and capers on Sourdough, so simple yet quality and freshness of ingredients, take it to another level. Poulet Roti also superb. Delicious wine as well! Fantastic value for money without corners being cut. Other brasserie style chains please note, Cote are far ahead of you.
Excellent Restaurant was completely full but service was fast and courteous Noisy if you wanted a romantic meal but understandable Regular visitors and will be back again
Always a friendly welcome, good food & professional service. Purrfect before the PictureHouse cinema
Very attentive service again from Seb and Sam. Love dining at Cote's. Will definitely be returning again in the near future. Thankyou for lovely food. Much appreciated.
Always consistently good food, service and value for money. Our go to place for a good meal.
This is our favourite restaurant in Bury st Edmunds. The food is exceptional and the staff are polite and courteous and always make you feel so welcome.
Brilliant! Fabulous customer service and food cooked to perfection. Thank you! :-)
Delightful evening - very pleasant and efficient staff. Food delicious and perfectly cooked. Surroundings bright and comfortable. Great evening
Brilliant service but a bit cheeky that a £9 service would be added to a table two. We always pay service, and like to pay it cash dependent on the quality of the service. Understandable to add service to a larger table of 8 or so but not a table of two. Other than that, would definitely return
Excellent food and excellent service! We were shown to our table promptly, told about the menu options and our chosen drinks were brought almost immediately. We chose from the two/three course menu options and the food and presentation was impeccable. It was as if the food had been prepared from scratch just for us. The staff checked at different times that all was to our liking without intruding. When the bill arrived I offered a tip and was told that service was included. The staff were all very pleasant, welcoming but respectful which is such a difference from the familiarity received elsewhere. Well done Cote Brasserie, it’s the second time I’ve been in two weeks !!
Another lovely meal at Cote! Always a cheerful welcome and friendly, helpful staff. Have eaten here many times and never had cause to complain. Beautiful food.
Easy to book on line. Warm and genuine welcome. Wonderful staff. Great food. Fantastic food choices and great wine selection. Fantastic overall experience and highly recommended.
We have become accustomed to a generally consistent service of an acceptable standard in terms of the location and prices. This visit was no exception. Long may it continue!
We dine as a group of 10 ( inc. 4 children ). Food was really nice, attentive and polite staff. The only let down was lack of cutlery for children which made eating very difficult for our 3 and 5 year old ones.
Thank you we had s very pleasant evening and the waitresses were excellent and attentive The food arrived promptly on a quiet Sunday evening and the food was served to a good standard off a menu we know well. Thank you
Attentive friendly service, great food, plenty of choice & pleasant relaxed atmosphere, not rushed
Absolutely lovely meal - food was excellent, service was great, overall superb evening
Fabulous as always absolutely love cotes. Went with three other ladies tonight
We love this place. It is calm and has great service. The food is consistently good, and great value for money.
Lovely food, ambience and staff. It was busy so after main courses service was a little slow but overall experience was wonderful and we will definitely return.
Lovely meal but a very noisy large party and our server forgetting a few things made it bit less lovely!!
Great all rounder. Smart yet casual, efficient service and great well cooked straightforward food. It's ambiance is bustling, busy and chatty so not so good for a quiet or romantic meal.
Lovely atmosphere and table tucked away so we could enjoy conversation
Staff polite and friendly, food varied and well prepared. Restaurant always exudes a busy but not chaotic atmosphere. A pleasurable experience again.
We had a wonderful dining experience at the Cotes Brasserie, Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday 13th March 2019 - Restaurant Manager Leighton, in addition to the waiting staff who served us so attentively, personally apologised for there not being salmon on the menu, then attended our table producing a wine bucket of iced water for the flowers that had been gifted to me, and lastly and very generously to my surprise, offered a complimentary glass of wine for my birthday. As a regular customer to the restaurant, on this particular occasion I felt thoroughly spoilt, and wanted to thank Leighton and his staff for making what turned out to be a most memorable evening. In gratitude, Emily Ford
This was the first time I've eaten at Cote and I have to say that on the whole, it was very pleasurable. It was my partner's birthday and the maitre d' was very friendly and accommodating, as were the rest of the staff. The food was delicious and far exceeded the quality I'd expect from a chain restaurant. All in all, a fantastic meal. My only grumble is the 12.5% "optional" service charge. £11.25 on a £90 bill is absolutely taking the p*ss and yes I know in theory that it's optional, but trust me, nobody enjoys having the conversation about removing it with the waiting staff. I'd have gladly left a £10 tip without being made to feel like I had to. This practice is, in my opinion, a nasty one. You're already no doubt making a tidy profit on the menu anyway, and I doubt that the staff see all of this service charge. Get rid of it and leave to to your customer's good will to reward the staff if and when deserved.
Delicious birthday meal steak frites and crepe Suzette yum. Free elderflower gin and tonicMarch promotion and a complementary glass of fizz for my birthday lovely staff
Superb all round. The French Bread is proper French bread from France. The staff are frien dly and helpful and the food is delicious and beautifully cooked.
We had such a lovely lady serving us on Friday, she was heavily pregnant yet was still working with a smile and gave us great service!
Awful valentines meal out. Took ages to get drink and food and had to leave before desert as had been there 2 hours with a lot of waiting. The staff extremely apologetic and gave us discount , however has put us going back again . We have never been disappointed here before but perhaps they over booked tables and understaffed
There was a problem with my Birthday token . My son who had given me this was with us & the Manager was able to resolve the situation during the evening. It was unfortunate that this happened .Also, & more importantly my daughter took her 3 year old to the toilet, lifted her up to wash her hands , had too much hot water & burnt her hands quite badly. She was offered some ice to help. We would strongly urge that the taps are marked & the water not so very hot. As usual the food was excellent .Mrs. G. Hillman.
Friendly staff and the food was delicious. Served quickly as we were going to the theatre. Really couldn’t fault and we will return in the future.
Lovely meal from the early evening set menu. Generous portion of delicious Chicken Parfait with plenty of sourdough toast. Husband enjoyed the Goat's Cheese and Ratatouille. He had Beef Shin Braise and I had Chicken Paillard, both excellent. We both had Dark Chocolate Pots which were very indulgent. All in all a great mesl for the price, with friendly service and a nice French Bistro ambience. We will definitely go back.
Enjoyed an early Mother’s Day meal here with family Excellent food, children accommodated for but the stand out for us was the excellent service from a young waiter who couldn’t have been more helpful and kind.
Good food and service, very good value, would recommend to others
Friendly staff with great humour. Polite & efficient, Fabulous, tasty, food & happy atmosphere. Good place for getting together with friends and for celebrating birthdays etc.
Just have a lovely lunch in Bury st Edmunds Cote We go very often an never been let down . We were early for lunch today and noticed people eating late breakfast . It looked fabulous, we intend to go and try it very soon. Today we pushed the boat out and had “chateaubriand” We had to wait a little while but the waitress did tell use it would take a while . We were in no rush . Gosh , it was so worth waiting for , absolutely delicious. If you love rare fillet stake , you have to try it . Fabulous.
Was able to make substitutions to our meals to fit our dietary requirements with no problems. Food was tasty and well presented
Fantastic atmosphere and sublime food made for a wonderful Mother’s Day treat, the 6 of us had all different menu options and we were all really impressed
First class Cote. Always really good food and friendly attentive service.
We usually go to Cote's early in the evening and then go on to the theatre of concert afterwards. Their restaurant is pretty full even early which is always a good sign for any eating establishment. We always pre-book through the internet which is an easy process not like on some websites. The menu is varied but not too much of a massive choice which suits me just fine.
