Côte Bury St Edmunds

Staff lovely and attentive (apart from the end when our waitress went home and no one took over) food lovely but olives very expensive for what they were (green and black with stones, none stuffed and no other varieties) squid started was tasty but too rich/ oily with nothing to balance it. I could have done with some rocket and a relish to cut through the richness. Sea food pasta and steak were lovely.

Excellent value for money , great service Had the pre 7 special menu , good choice on each course and nicely cooked and presented dishes . Good quality coffee to follow .

Food great, service great. Didn’t like the gratuity being added to the bill, I like to decide if I add a tip and determine the magnitude based on my experience.

We both had the Prawn Gratine followed by the chateaubriand. Both were excellent and we can thoroughly recommend these dishes

Lovely meal with my favourite Warm Roquefort salad and moules. We were given a cocktail which was so nice. The staff were very friendly and obliging. Recommended place to eat.

We regularly use this restaurant and are always happy but unfortunately tonight was a disappointment. Staff were struggling, orders not getting put through to kitchen and a general air of dissatisfied customers. It wouldn’t put me off of going again as I have had more good experiences then bad but a few of the staff need to be a bit more on the ball as people were leaving without ordering desserts and coffees as they couldn’t wait any longer.

Cote shows how it should be done! As always, a lovely evening at Cote, food, atmosphere and service spot on. June special starter, tomatoes and goats cheese with olives goats cheese and capers on Sourdough, so simple yet quality and freshness of ingredients,take it to another level. Poulet Roti also superb. Delicious wine as well! Fantastic value for money without corners being cut. Other brasserie style chains please note, Cote are far ahead of you.

Very tasty meal ,everything ordered was to perfection. The service was 1st class too . My only gripe us that I planned to has the black pudding starter and mussels as a main but both sold out today. I'll be back here for sure.

Lovely friendly restaurant. Menu is full of excellent choices, food is always good quality and reasonably priced. Bury st. Edmunds branch is our local home from home.

Service was slow and where we sat the walls could do with a clean as food was stuck to the side of it and need more waiters on as service was slow.

This is our favourite restaurant in Bury st Edmunds. The food is exceptional and the staff are polite and courteous and always make you feel so welcome.

For the second time that we have dined here a plain cheese omelette was ordered by my wife but it contained no cheese.

Four of us went for lunch on Sunday. We all had delicious food - mains and puddings for all. The service was excellent, just the right amount of interaction. We would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

The restaurant was completely full, and although we had a wait for our order to arrive it was not unduly lengthy, and quite understandable. The meal was absolutely great, the service proficient; in all, there is no need to go elsewhere to eat! The crime caramel is really recommended.

Great atmosphere excellent service and wonderful food! I would recommend anyone coming to Bury St Edmunds to try this cote. Cannot fault it in anyway 🙂

Brilliant service but a bit cheeky that a £9 service would be added to a table two. We always pay service, and like to pay it cash dependent on the quality of the service. Understandable to add service to a larger table of 8 or so but not a table of two. Other than that, would definitely return

Fantastic welcome from the manager. Brilliant, warm, smiling server. Fab food. We were recognised from our previous visits which made it feel extra nice. They were happy to adapt one of the dishes to my wife’s taste. 😊

The food was excellent the service lovely I had to ask for my starter and the side dish for mains they were very apologetic but this could have been avoided by checking the order back to the customer

Food and wine as good as usual. Service a bit chaotic. Tables don’t seem to have dedicated waiting staff. We had to ask for our used main course plates to be removed. No one came to check whether we wanted anything else so we left with no pudding and probably less wine than usual. So money saved for us but lost revenue for Cote.

A stylish restaurant with an elegant decor. The early evening set menu offers fantastic value for money. Service was with a smile and very efficient.

Very convenient central position, easy to book on line, great atmosphere, delicious food (perfect creme brûlée) good service and very nice staff will definitely go again.

Another day in Bury St Edmunds and as usual lunch at Cote. We always enjoy a visit to Cote and again we were not disappointed . looking forward to the next time!.

Birthday lunch - chef and kitchen staff at Bury really know their stuff. Szilvester our waiter went above and beyond - he is the best of an overall excellent waiting crew, attentive yet unintrusive. Complimentary kir royale’s for the occasion. Why eat anywhere else? Loved it.

No point in writing reviews as nobody takes any notice. Out of goodwill I have twice pointed out a problem, but yhhave been ignored. Shame nice staff.

Excellent food and excellent service! We were shown to our table promptly, told about the menu options and our chosen drinks were brought almost immediately. We chose from the two/three course menu options and the food and presentation was impeccable. It was as if the food had been prepared from scratch just for us. The staff checked at different times that all was to our liking without intruding. When the bill arrived I offered a tip and was told that service was included. The staff were all very pleasant, welcoming but respectful which is such a difference from the familiarity received elsewhere. Well done Cote Brasserie, it’s the second time I’ve been in two weeks !!

As always at the Bury restaurant, food excellent, staff friendly and helpful. I am veggie, if you ask for the vegetarian menu you will find many delicious meals to choose from. Cote is definitely my favourite chain restaurant.

Very enjoyable dinner at Cote BSE. The food quality was great and the service kind and attentive. The ambience was good and we didn't feel hurried. We've always had a good experience here.

Very poor service. 4 of us had starters & main course. Waitress left half way through. Not one member of staff asked if everything was ok until another waitress came with the card machine when it was time to pay. 2 hours before we were served our main. Not as I had expected.

My wife and I have been to Cote Brasserie Bury St Edmunds many times since it opened and last night's visit was excellent as usual. A good atmosphere , good food (well sized portions) and excellent service made for another very nice evening.

We had a beautiful meal served by very attentive staff. We will definitely come back for dinner again.
