As always the food & service was excellent. I wouldn’t say, however, that it felt very COVID secure. No temperature checks, tables not 2m apart, no social distancing on entry & paper menus re-used between tables. The only evidence of Covid was waiting staff wearing visors.

Great food although would have preferred a larger portion. Friendly and efficient staff made the evening a very enjoyable experience.

Staff were amazing. Good was lovely and the atmosphere was great when the lights were turned down. It was our first time at a cote brasserie as we made the most of the eat out to help out on places we wouldn't normally go but we will definitely be back! Only downside is the courses come out so quickly back to back and the tables are too close together. Overall a fantastic restaurant.

My wife and I were looking forward to a lovely meal, having not had a chance for months. Our experience was spoilt by my steak not being cooked correctly. I ordered a fillet streak and asked for it to be cooked medium and the waitress clearly recorded this. When the steak arrived, it looked on the pink side outside. I immediately cut it in half while the waitress was there. It was nearer rare through the whole depth of the steak. The waitress offered to take it away to be redone. This meant that my wife started to eat her food while it was still hot. NOT what we wanted to do. The waitress returned and said my steak would take ten minutes. Not satisfactory. Seeing our reaction, she said would my wife like her meal to be taken way as well. We agreed and all of the meals items were removed. Two completely redone meals were brought after a limited time, complete with fresh veg and frites. The meal was delicious and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Why is there such a problem with cooking steaks correctly. I can understand there will be some variation, but the first steak was far too undercooked. I do not like making a fuss unlike some people, but I will complain gently if things are not right. Both meals were completely replaced and I was not charged for my steak. I did say to my waitress that the latter was not required but she said it was right. We will return another time.

We always enjoy eating at Cote . It was nice to come back after 5 months lockdown.

So so good to able to dine out here again at long last. As always here, the staff are fantastic and they help to create a lovely atmosphere to dine in. The staff are a real credit to the restaurant, and to be met by these familiar smiling faces is an absolute joy for both of us.

Some tables were too close together, no sanitiser, paper menus that couldn’t be wiped down but weren’t disposable , salt and pepper pots on the tables unlike other restaurants. It didn’t seem like many precautions were being taken. Also lamb, pork and tuna weren’t available which greatly reduced the menu. However what we did have was very nice and the service was very good.

We always like eating at Cote. This was our first visit after lockdown, and we were very happy with the standards of cleanliness and safety - hand sanitizers, our table was cleaned before we sat down, the staff all wore ppe. Our waiter Adam was very helpful, and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Our food was as good as it always is - I particularly enjoyed the prawn gratin starter. Its so nice to be back. It was fabulous to be back at Cote in Bury St Edmunds, our very favourite local restaurant. So lovely to be welcomed back by the familiar team that we have come to know over a number of years. The fillet steak was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Thanks to all for a wonderful night out.

Fantastic customer service from our waiter which should be recognised. He personally congratulated us on our anniversary at the door (which I've never had before, it's the small things) as well as provided us with complimentary kir royales as a kind gesture. Thanks for a special night.

A pleasant atmosphere in this Brasserie in the historic centre of Bury St Edmunds. A young serving team very polite and efficient. A good choice of classic French dishes. Overall, a happy family who will be back before too long.

It’s a shame Côte have not reintroduced your two three course menu. However we always enjoy our experience, the food is always consistently good, and as my partner and I agreed today, you as a business have obviously got your recruitment and training for staff ‘spot on’ they are always amazing!! The one and very picky thing that I will say is that we found the food under seasoned, but that is only our personal preference

Excellent! Our first post-lockdown meal so was a bit worried at first but got a table in the lovely garden area and the staff couldn’t have been nicer! Great lobster too!!

Very good experience. Weren’t asked if we wanted vegetables with our meal and took quite a while to be asked if we wanted to order drinks but the staff were busy so understandable. Good meal and very pleasant staff. Lovely outside area - we will be back

It was lovely to be back albeit the restaurant was very busy which felt a little disconcerting in these times. The lady at the door was a little brusque but our waitress was lovely.

All went very well,meal & service very good, we will be coming back soon, it made our 47th Anniversary special

Great that you are back and the usual good service and food. However the restaurant was very busy and given the circumstances I would have expected some tables to gave been removed. We arrived at 6.30pm, the restaurant filled quickly and I personally felt the tables were too close. Sorry won't be back anytime soon

First time we were able to visit Cotes after the lockdown and what a fabulous experience. The staff were so welcoming and lovely, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was wonderful, we were so delighted to be able to go back to Cotes in Bury St. Edmunds and very much look forward to going again.
