Côte Bury St Edmunds

We had a wonderful meal at Côte Bury St. Edmunds for our anniversary. The food was delicious and the serving staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. We also felt very safe that the environment was clean and that the COVID-19 measures in place were adequate to keep both ourselves and the staff safe.

Our waiter was brilliant, overheard us talking about it being one of our party’s birthday and brought us a glass of bubbly on the house! Excellent service

Excellent first 2 courses but Crepe was a bit dry with too much chocolate also could have been hotter. Service excellent as always. May we suggest that a small basket of bread is provided free (as with the water bottle.) Say 2 pieces of a bread each person. We would also love to see Escargot on the starter menu.

Really friendly and helpful staff with perfect amount of friendliness and presence. Pork dish perfect and very good, the lamb slightly tough. Sitting in outside area was peaceful and dimly lit - very good. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Everything about this visit was excellent, as expected. The waitress, Tamara, was friendly, courteous and efficient. The food and drink were first class. The Covid 19 arrangements worked very efficiently, without in any way detracting from my enjoyment of my meal. I shall pay another visit tomorrow, this time with my wife.

It was all delicious but I was gutted that there was no ‘eat out to help out’ But the food and service was excellent

We enjoyed the meal but felt the starter of pork rillettes had just been taken out of the fridge, I probably should have said something at the time but didn't, apart from that it was a nice meal.

First time back at Cote after the lockdown. It was good to see that business was brisk with most tables occupied. Also pleased that some of the staff from before the pandemic are still there, especially your excellent chef, Henderson.

Lovely Meal but spoilt by the restaurant getting too hot as the evening progressed. The problem was that the air conditioning was not switched on!!!

It was so wonderful to get out again and enjoy a really first rate meal. Delicious Crab Mayonnaise, followed by Salmon with Ratatouille, and then the most superb Praline Crepe I have ever had. Waiters and waitresses wearing visors and service impeccable; so one felt comfortable and safe. Would highly recommend.

Love Cote - mixed fortune this time as a fish bone appeared in my main course (chicken) meal - replaced no fuss and quick then credited off the bill. What more can you ask? mistake quickly and efficiently rectified without ruining the evening - wish all places were like this

We enjoyed our evening very much. Our server was attentive without being intrusive; we didn’t feel rushed and the food was delicious.

Generally it was a great evening. My only gripe would be that due to the eat out to help out scheme the restaurant was very full. There were no screens between tables and some tables were definitely less than 2 metres apart, some appearing to be less than 1 meter.

Very friendly staff - love Cote. Would have been 5 stars but my fillet steak was over cooked sadly. I did tell the waitress she said they would have given me another but I would have had to eat on my own then.

Really relaxed pleasant meal in the garden mid-afternoon on Thursday. Not too many other customers there, so everyone was well spread out. The staff were attentive, courteous and made us feel very welcome and not at all rushed. The food was excellent and the ambience was very friendly and calm.

Was a little disappointed with my experience this time round. The lady that took my original order forgot to put our bread on the order and also my main and then my partner and child's meal came put and mine didn't so we were all confused and when another lady put my meal through. The chefs seemed to have rushed it and it didn't come out very pleasant. But the staff done everything they can to accommodate for what happened and I was very appreciative of what they did.

This is our favorite restaurant and it never disappoints. Best restaurant in Bury.

Had lunch with my eldest granddaughter, it was very enjoyable. Service was brilliant, meal was lovely. As I am in the age of being classed as vulnerable I felt quite safe.

It was great to be back. The food was good as always. I would have given 5 stars but one of our party ordered lamb chops as a main (not available) so she ordered chicken breton (also not available!). Otherwise we were all happy and the price was reasonable.

We visited the Bury St Edmunds branch yesterday evening. The staff were all lovely and friendly, as we have always found here. The food was delicious, as always. We both had the lobster, I'd never had it before - it was so good. We got moved onto a bigger table as we didn't have enough room for all the plates/bowls, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were so helpful. If only staff at other restaurants were as good as here. Thank you!
