Good was excellent. Service however was not very good. Our waitress clearly did not want to serve us. No smiles. Had to get up to find her to speak to her about a problem with starter. Had to ask 3 times for Bill.

Great value for money. Service fabulous as always. Bring back the seafood linginie please, We love it. We have visited many cotes over the last few years this is one of the best settings.

It looked short-staffed. It took a long time to be served for the bill unfortunately. Food and the timing of serving were perfect, but I prefer Clifton Village one.

Very good food and of consistent quality. The staff were very friendly without being overbearing. Our complimentary white wine was also very pleasant. We will keep coming.

Food was delicious. Calamari not at all chewy, duck tender and tasty. Chocolate fondant perfect.Service very good. Attentive but not hurried. There was a nice atmosphere.

Attentive staff, with a good atmosphere even on a Monday lunch time. Good set menu and a mean Kir Royal to start with. Happy to return.

Great food and atmosphere in a lovely setting overlooking Quakers Friars Square. Each dish had interesting flavours and was well presented. The early evening menu represents excellent value for money.

Lovely atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, good food, the only slight negative is they need better ventilation as with them serving quite a lot of seafood the dining room sometimes has an overpowering smell of seafood. Other than that great. Knocked the review from a 6 to a 5 for that.

As always best quality of food and service from attentive staff. Will come back again and recommend it to friends. Good vegetarian choices one of the best in Bristol

Evening out with work colleagues straight from work it's great that the set menu runs until 7pm is changed monthly and such good value. Good food, good wine, good service what more do you need.

Had an excellent meal here, was a group of 4 of us and the service and food was excellent. We sat outside as it was a sunny day and the allocation was lovely. Would definately recommend

Nice food but much smaller portion (particularly in respect of the starter) compared with when restaurant opened. Nice seat on a sunny day by the open doors. Staff efficient if a little off hand. Did object to 12.5% being added to the bill. Will visit again.

The restaurant was very busy hence the service was expectidly a little slower than normal ,the food was very good along with the atmosphere and setting.

My niece from Bordeaux was over for a holiday and As I knew the food was of a high standard, she too thought the food and service was excellent.

I asked for a medium rib-eye, my be it's me but mine was still very red more medium-rear at best! And the meat was not the best quality, rest of the meal was fine and service very good. (May be just stear away from the steak)

I meet my friend for lunch every couple of weeks & since Cote Brasserie has opened it is our favourite. Always a great choice of food & always served hot which is very important. Staff are all lovely too.

Excellent food as per norm. Good service. Lovely ambience. Always a pleasure to visit Cote. Unlimited bottles of cold fresh water a bonus. I cannot recommend Cote too highly.

We received warm welcome, served with a smile. Food and service is what you want when you go out to eat. We had a lovely time and will return.

The food was good, the service started of very attentive but slackened off. The thing that unsettled our enjoyment of the evening was that there was no paper towels in the ladies rest rooms and no toilet paper in any of the 3 cubicles.

We had a lovely meal, the calamari was excellent and lots of it for a starter! For mains we had the pork belly, ribeye and sirloin which were also very good. The service was first class and the price was very reasonable. We have been to the cote Brasserie in Clifton a few times and I think when we go again it will be the Clifton Cote as it has more atmosphere than the Quaker Frier branch.

What can I say other than we enjoyed another visit to a Cote Brasserie. As usual the welcome and service from the staff was excellent and the value of the set meal for a light midday lunch was as usual spot on. We have been to Cotes in Exeter, Bath, Clifton and Bristol and we can be sure of getting the same high standards of food and service. Well done again!

Food, service and 'ambience' were all very good, but we thought it was unreasonable to have to pay for our side dishes when ordering from the set menu.

Its the first time we have used the restaurant and we were very impressed, the good atmosphere, good food, excellent service, altogether a great experience, we will definitely use it again.

The food was excellent but the menu never changes, although they have a few specials. The waitress couldn't remember who had order d what and put the wrong meals in front of the wrong people

Perfect for a family get together and nice to be in a restaurant where you can actually hear each other speak. Good value food, a little hiccup with inexperienced staff, but soon sorted out by the Manager(ess). Certainly Cote outshines the competition in this square of restaurants.

This is one of the less busy Cotes. Food was the usual good quality and good value. Friendly staff and manager. It was an enjoyable experience

Service was ok, nothing special. Food off the 'early bird' menu were very small portions and tasteless. Good price for 3 courses, but left unsatisfied so not a great deal in the end.

Very pleasant lunch at Cote - French fries a little over fried but steak delicious . Quick and efficient service. No garnish on the plate - I felt the plate needed something green!

The food was lovely as usual. However our waitress could have been more attentive. We were not offered a drinks menu and we were not asked if we would like coffee when our dessert plates were collected. A little 'off hand' would be a good description.

Service was good but the bacon arrived cremated. It was changed when requested. Third visit to this restaurant and it was the worst of the three. Also noticed the cup for my tea was cracked. Will have to seriously consider if we go back again.
