Very good meal. Didn't like the breadcrumbs on the cottage pies. Cheese would have been much better. very friendly staff. didn't like the 12.5 service charge. would have preferred to tip the waitress.

It was a nice evening, starting with Kir Royals for the 4 of us because it was my birthday. They were just served without us having to ask which made it more special.

Great location. Wide choice on menu. Reasonably priced wine. Relaxed bistro atmosphere. Alway our choice for a special meal which does not cost a fortune

Very basic food. Barely any flavour and didn’t even finish our mains. Creams spinach was so bad I had to remove it from my plate.

We had a birthday meal here, staff were very sweet, glass of bubbly on arrival and a dessert with a candle, what more can a girl ask for?!?!?!

Fried eggs over cooked . Had to go to counter to ask for bill . Nice place tho for breakfast handy and close by for apartment

Lovely lunch with friends good service & great food. We ate from set lunch menu which had a good choice. Recommend mackerel rillette & coq au vin.

The food is always very good. However, we did think that they could have been more attentive, particularly as the Restaurant was practically empty. Will be eating there again definitely.

A busy restaurant with good service and delicious food. Cote are pretty consistent in their food and service throughout the chain as have been to several in different locations and I’ve never been disappointed! The Quakers Friar branch is in a good location with lots of bars & restaurants close by.

Really helpful staff and wonderful food as always; I've been to three Cotes restaurants to date and, as far as chains go, they're really hard to beat.

We have been to other restaurants in this chain where we have always had excellent meals. This was our first visit to this outlet. Meal was excellent when we got it - would we go again - yes. Our problem was that we received our pre dinner drinks, and starters, all fine, but then we waited and waited. Eventually we called a waitress over, apologized, came back - dinner would be a few minutes - fine. Another 10 minutes no meal, free basket of bread to nibble on. Called waitress over again asked what is the problem - apologised it would appear order got lost, we were given free bottle of wine and not charged for our main courses. Main meal from starter was nearly an hour of waiting. Staff - excellent - once aware of the problem, apologetic and wanted to make amends which were gratefully accepted.

Your food is chain consistent and service was perfunctory. Staff were pleasant enough but lacking attention o detail. Food was well cooked and presented but experience was very ordinary on this visit.

The standard of service was excellent as ususal. The food, too, was delicious. It's nice to be recognised by staff as regular customers and have a chat.

Have eaten here previously. The service was as good and efficient as usual as was the pleasant atmosphere. The meal was as good as previously experienced. Couldn't fault the experience.

We’ve eaten at this branch of Cote on several occasions. Always an enjoyable experience and delicious food. The gluten-free menu is a real winner! Would recommend to anyone.

This was the best meal we have had in a long time I think French cooking suits us both.We will be back again soon.after we return from holiday.

Recievd a wonderful and warm welcome. Staff were pleasantly attentive. Food was delicious with a wide and varied selection available. The wine choices were good and the ambiance most pleasant to eat in.

Food is exellentl and well priced, staff are helpful but not overwhelming, service is good and space to relax & enjoy the Company in pleasnt surroundings. It just ticks all the boxes.

Today i chose to eat from the 2 course set price menu. There was an excellent choice of meat fish and vegan choices, the desert menu was good also.

Great early bird menu. We ate at six thirty. I had the rabbit cottage pie and it was delicious with a glass of champagne. Staff very attentive.

lovely food at a reasonable price considering the quality. Good service also. i will return. The sea bass is particularly nice and i always like the chocolate mousse

We were particularly impressed this time at Cote with the vegetables which are served generously, even on the set menu. I enjoyed finely cut crispy leeks and my husband had honey roast carrots - he was even told how to cook carrots like that himself by the helpful Manageress

along with my partner i enjoyed an excellent two course set price meal, the choice for both courses was first class , i must add the service was also first class.

We had very good service with good food. Ambience very good. I often eat at Cote restaurants particularly the one in Bath because I live there. I would recommend the Bristol Cote to friends.

My daughter and I had a lovely meal and wine at Cote; we couldn't fault either the food or the service. We were so well looked after. The meal was a reasonable price too - I have not enjoyed more expensive meals elsewhere so much. The real gem in the Cote crown is the quality of the service though. The staff are always attentive and go the extra mile to please. it is our favourite restaurant in Bristol

Excellent food and very good service. Visited on New Years Day in the evening. Had the crab mayonnaise followed by the Bream (special) Will definitely come to Côte again.

Always excellent food, prepared exceptionally well, great service and love the two/three courses offer. Just waiting for news of the new loyalty scheme in 2018

Unfortunately the Duck was almost cremated and the steak au poivre was completely doused with a pepper crust that was unbelievably hot! Crab mayonnaise was tasteless. Puddings divine and staff lovely

Very good food. Menu was slightly different our usual Exeter restaurant that we visit. Was definitely a better selection of drinks on the Bristol menu to exeter. Really enjoyed our lunch, we both had the Comte burger. We did have to wait quite a while and it wasn’t too busy for a Saturday afternoon, however the waitress did come over without any asking to apologise and let us know our meals were on the way

My best friend and I had our annual 'Christmas lunch' at Cote Bristol Quakers Friars last Saturday. We loved its central location and had a great selection on the menu without being overwhelming. My starter of French onion soup was really delicious and my friend loved her calamari but our real treat is to have steak frites. Mine was medium rare and hers was medium and they were cooked perfectly. My creme caramel was to die for. I can't remember what my friend had but I know it was delicious! We had a bottle of the house red which was light and fruity - perfect for a lunch time drink. The staff were all really friendly - relaxed to just the right amount and there if we needed them for anything. All in all, it was just what we'd hoped and we'll be back for sure.

Today my partner and i decided to order from the a la carte menu, due to the upcoming excesses of christmas we thought we would avoid a dessert on this occasion. We were not disappointed.

Staff are always friendly and the food is excellent. The choice of wines is very good with something to suit everyone. Would definitely recommend the restaurant to friends and family.
