Côte Bristol Quakers Friars

We waited 35 minutes for the main course and when our meal arrived the pork was cold and undercooked, the waitress was brilliant took our meals away, and the chef agreed it wasn't acceptable. The meal was replaced after 35 minutes and was much better. Sadly the friends we were with had already had theirs, so they were upset we weren't able to eat together. We weren't charged for our meals but it did have a downer on our Christmas celebration.

An enjoyable experiance but we found the noise level most uncomfortable. So much so that we would not return. Conversation was most difficult.

Delicious food from the Prestige menu . Staff were very efficient and friendly, very good choice of food from 3 menus.

Overall evening was good. Slightly disappointed that there were multiple items not available and there was a problem with one of the mains but this was resolved with little hassle.

This was my 70th birthday meal with my family but the evening was rather disappointing. It was not up to the normal Cote standard, I expected. Several of the mains we wanted were not available. The service was very slow with long waits between courses. At the end of the meal we still hadn't been given napkins, even though we requested them.

Incredibly busy lunchtime yet the staff were amazing, efficient and extremely professional as well as being quite lovely. We both had steak and it was as good as the specialist steak restaurants that we've been to plus EXCELLENT chips. Many thanks - coming up to our 50th.visit to (various - Bristol Clifton and City Centre;Sloane Square;Farnham; Oxford;Guildford; Manchester etc) Cote and will look forward to our next visit

A very relaxing lunch break from Christmas shopping. My partner and I were warmly welcomed and shown to a brilliant able in the window where we enjoyed the service, food and people watching.

Felt a bit like a canteen was efficient if not too quick.

The atmosphere was brilliant in this restaurant along with the service.

Always been great, however; on this occasion steak was cold and had to be returned to be reheated. Left both of our meals out of synch, not the end of the world, but first poor service in numerous visits. Waitress handled the situation as well as can be expected. Shame, no real apology.

The only thing we did not like was the addition of a service charge, we prefer to tip individual staff

Quality of food was great, had a really lovely meal. However, the service was very slow. We waited around 20 minutes for our starter to arrive, then around 40 minutes for our mains to arrive. The restaurant was very busy, however, the length of time we waited for food was disappointing.

Cote Brasserie Quakers Friars is the best place to eat in Bristol in my opinion, portion sizes are perfect, the food is excellent and very good value for money, the staff are friendly and efficient. The only thing which lets it down is the level of noise which is extremely loud as it is a very popular venue. As a hearing aid user (aids tend to amplify background sound as well as conversation) I find this extremely annoying and it detracts from what would otherwise be a most enjoyable experience.

Booked a few weeks ago and were given a table in the window. Great service, food per normal. You always tick the boxes!

started off well and the food was fine. A large party came in during our meal and we had less attention from then on . We had to wait a while to order desserts although once ordered they came very quickly

Absolutely love coming to Cote for dinner. Food is incredible and menus great value for money. The restaurant does not feel like a chain restaurant at all. It's such a treat coming here without breaking the bank!!

Really nice food, good service and reasonable prices. Good selection of wines by the glass.

Lovely meal and attentive staff but would prefer a little more privacy and more time to choose our food. Felt the waiter was always hovering around frequently asking us for our meal choice. Keen for us to leave. Also, I’d prefer to add my own tip rather than being charged service charge.

We are Four friends who Dined early evening. Service was excellent, as always. Two had duck and two had beef bourguignon, both meals cooked and presented perfectly

Quite noisy and not much atmosphere. Two of us had the ordinary set lunch menu two had the prestige. My friends who ate from the prestige were more pleased with their meals, the others were pretty bland. I guess it shows you get what you pay for. I couldn't help but compare to Raymond Blanc's Brasserie which has sadly closed in Bristol but was far superior for a similar price.
