The atmosphere created by the staff is just so lovely . They are always extremely welcoming polite and attentive. We Will continue to return. Thanks
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Good food and service. We went with our daughter and her partner and all enjoyed our meals. The complimentary wine and bread was much appreciated. Thank you.
lovely evening. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent with interesting choices on the menu, there was something to temp everyone, would definitely go back as we need to try other dishes on offer.
Cotes Restaurant in Clifton Village the food was great and the staff are very friendly and helpful, I would recommend this place to eat super!
Mostly excellent. The "Fish Parmentier", however, was very small and rather dry. Service could not be faulted, even though quite busy. Good teamwork always impresses.
The choice of dishes was tantalising and they were cooked to perfection . The service was excellent too with the courses arriving at just the right pace for a leisurely and conversational meal .
Booking system worked well. Restaurant too noisy due to party on next table. A shame other than that fair meal. Hopefully we will be luckier next time.
We went for the early bird menu, and the food was excellent and extremely good value. The waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive and the atmosphere in the restaurant, on a Monday evening, was lively and added to the overall great experience.
A really lovely night - thank you. The service was great, atmosphere relaxed but professional and the food of a good standard - thank you.
Great service and food. Even though we were running late, they managed to change our table time on a busy Saturday lunchtime. We even managed to squeeze in the profiteroles too.
Fabulous Food, Fabulous Customer Service, Fabulous overall experience!!! Booked as a Cote Reward Customer and received a complimentary bottle of wine - what a great way to treat your customers - well done Cote Brasserie!!
Very enjoyable 3 course meal lovely dining experience Will definitely return soon Had the set menu, also had lovely bottle of white wine earned with cote rewards a great evening
Another visit in only 5 days, both have been very pleasing, the staff are welcoming and the food is well presented and a very good standard. Will be back again soon.
great atmosphere and service! the food was amazing and the staff was really friendly, I would really recommend it to everyone as it was a really nice experience!
We dined mid-week and were amazed at how busy it was. The early bird menu is very good value. Great food and atmosphere. Staff are very helpful.
Friendly and helpful staff as usual. One dish (fish with puy lentils) was a little dry. It was my mother's birthday and her desert cam with a candle which she loved. Thank you
As frequent visitors to Clifton Cote, we are never disappointed; the staff are so good, the service excellent and the food reliably very good. We love it.
We dine at Cote in Clifton Village regularly and find the food and service consistently good and excellent value for money. There is always a good atmosphere as they are usually busy and generally I think Cote is a better option than The Ivy in terms of the quality of food and consistency which is surprising as it comes with a significantly lower price tag. The food is exactly as it should be, authentic French bistro fare, which is simple but tasty and very good. The lunch and early evening menu is amazing value at £10.95 for two courses or £12.95 for three. Bearing in mind this is Clifton Village, this is one of the best value set menus in Bristol. Highly recommended whatever the occasion.
The set menu value proposition continues to astound us. The entrée was perhaps the best ever experienced. The whole experience cannot be faulted. Thank you to the team at Cote.
Lovely evening meal, staff very attentive and polite. Great choice of menu and reasonable pricing. We would highly recommend the duck with cherry sauce it was delicious.
food is well cooked and well presented from a very reasonably priced menu. Staff pleasant and attentive. A good place for lunch in the atmospheric surrounds of Clifton Village.
We had a lovely meal, and I know I should have checked the T&Cs first, but it was a bit annoying to have the three-course special menu placed in front of us, our 'free' wine poured without mentioning until afterwards that the wine was dependent on al la carte. The special menu was of course immediately removed - as was the choice. It felt a bit deliberate and underhand (as we certainly wouldn't have paid £24 for that wine!) Good food and good service though.
Very helpful staff. Great atmosphere and very good food served tastefully and hot. Will be going again but trying probably the afternoon to see if it matches up. All in all very good
Consistently good food and service, we never feel challenged with the menu unlike many restaurants that want to fill their menus with fish & chips along with a host of Burgers. Staff are always pleasant and well trained. The only annoying fly in the ointment is the service charge, why not leave it to the customer to avoid the feeling of being intimidated with the 12.5% ? Otherwise faultless
Great ambience and super service. The staff have always made us feel special and the food was served quickly and efficiently The menu gave an excellent choice.
Excellent food and service just too close to the door and cold. Need to put something to stop the wind every time the door opens
Fantastic service. Alda? (don't know if I spell correct the name) the manager the BEST!!!!, always very attentive, friendly, she is the best. Thank you
We are regular visitors. The management team were as friendly and fantastic as they usually are !! Good food, good service and the lunch time menu is especially good value.
Wonderful attentive service great quality food would highly recommend.Pleasant and polite staff greeted warmly and members of staff that passed us on our exit all said thank you.Staff were dressed smartly and uniforms were very clean.
Lovely meal, good size portions to fill up a 15 yr old boy, the staff are always helpful and polite. One of the best places to eat in Clifton village.
The staff, as always, were efficient and friendly. The food was good although we have experienced better meals in the past. Will return as it can normally be relied on.
Always greeted with a smile. Service second to none. Food good quality and value for money. Highly recommend it as it's a great atmosphere and I feel comfortable there.
Staff and food very nice drinks I thought we're a bit expensive overall nice place for a treat could have done with some nice pictures of French scenes to give it a bit more atmosphere
Friendly service, comfortable and clean surroundings, a real buzz around the restaurant and delicious food. Plenty to eat but not a crumb left. Couldn't ask for anything more.
We have been customers for many years and we always enjoy the food, the staff at the Clifton branch make us feel special and are always very accommodating we recommend it highly.
Excellent food and very good service. Good value and a thoroughly enjoyable experience overall. The menu contained a variety of dishes to suit the various tastes of the four diners.
The food was amazing, the service outstanding and the overall atmosphere was perfect! We had an awesome and memorable night and will definitely return soon!
Great food - great service - great atmosphere - what else is there to say?? Great food - great service - great atmosphere - what else is there to say??
We are huge supporters of Cote - we have visited their sites in Eton/Windsor; Covernt Garden; Cardiff and Bristol all in the past six months. Lunch on Monday May 1 was a bust - we experienced a long wait for drinks to be served (had to ask for them when we were halfway through starters). The wine ordered did not meet previous expectations and my main course (Asparagus wrapped in Parma Ham and served with Gruyere Cheese) was hopelessly overcooked; had been left far too long under the warming lamps and the sauce had split. The replacement, freely offered, also suffered from split sauce but by then i was beyond caring. In mitigation the odd wine and the asparagus were knocked off the bill but this was, for Cote, a bad day at the office. Given this is the first failure since our first visit we shall return, no doubt, as the loyalty has been earned - but yesterday's school report was, certainly, C- "Could do better".
The staff are friendly and efficient. The food has never disappointed any of us and would be more than happy to recommend this restaurant. Enjoy.
This was our 2nd visit and was just as good as our 1st. Great food and the service was very efficient without being hurried. The food was so good and freshly cooked with great care taken on presentation. It was very busy but had a great relaxed feel to the place. We would recommend to anyone. We are already planning our next visit.
Lovely food at a great value, service was excellent. The French onion soup and calamari were excellent starters, with steak and salmon fish cakes for mains which were also great.
Not good for a discrete conversation as the tables are so small and close together. One particular 2 person table is very very close to the servers. We were shown it but quickly refused it. However we had to sit and it was impossible to ignore our neigbours conversation which was quite a personal conversation, we were not amused. In fact felt embarrased being there. Food was okay and watch out for the 12.5% service charge added to the bill. Felt sure the server was not amused when I paid the exact amount shown on the bill. A service charge is for me to decide and how much to give. However food good quickly served and hot.
Wonderful breakfast which we all enjoyed. Our server was fantastic and we will certainly visit again when in Clifton Village again. Food was hot and plenty of it.
very good early evening meal out. Jerusalem artichoke and leek starter was very original and steak frites its usual standard. Overall very good value, with attentive service
I ordered onion soup which tasted very nice but was lukewarm. I object to a service charge being added already to the bill. The serving staff were excellent but were run off their feet.
Great food as always and great service from all the staff and good value. The to the right place to be a problem with the following week an
Consistently high quality service, staff always very welcoming. Love the fact that lunch time and early evenings Côte offer special offers. Looking forward to my next visit .
Wonderful and excellent staff who were attentive and polite. The food was excellent with a varied menu. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, will definitely be going there again
Superb, staff took note of our table request, were very professional, attentive not intrusive during our visit and the food & service superb. Looking forward to going again.
