Food was nice but the service not so good. Kept having to ask for things again. Water was asked for 3 times, butter twice, beer twice and only white sugar given with coffee as that’s all there was in the pot.
Great food and excellent service. The staff are always ready to help and nothing is too much trouble - even though the evening was extremely busy the service didn’t falter.
Lively restaurant which was very well frequented. Enjoyable meal, but rather noisy environment. Particularly enjoyed a starter of scallops and the glass of sparling wine. Very helpful waiting staff.
The food and service was good but it was very noisy,we were very near a table of noisy children in a narrow area of the restaurant which made conversation difficult.
As always, another great evening at Cote! I cannot recommend it highly enough - lovely staff and the good is consistently excellent! We will be back soon.
Food was lovely as always, but seating and atmosphere not great. It was very busy & there are so many tables that we felt very crammed in. There is little privacy & only enough space to squeeze between your table & the neighbouring table to get to your seat & it didn’t help having a coat stand hanging over our table. I like a lively atmosphere but being so crammed in means it’s really noisy and difficult to hear what the person opposite you is saying. I generally love this restaurant but was disappointed by this visit & so we were quick to leave.
The food was delicious, the waiters helpful and friendly. The issue was that we were right next to the front door. Despite a thick curtain (a sure sign that there is a recognized problem), the draft was dreadful. The door does not close properly and three of us sat in our coats for the entire meal. Seeing as we spent over £250 for this celebratory meal, we were disappointed to be so cold and uncomfortable. We shall not be returning for this reason, except perhaps on a balmy summer's evening! Perhaps the management could spent Saturday night's profit on a new door; it would appear to be a simple problem to resolve. We were not even offered blankets (£3:50 for a fleece blanket from Ikea!!).
A lovely evening was enjoyed by the whole party. Great friendly service, thank you.
My parents came up from Cornwall to visit and Cote was recommended to me by a friend. The food and service was incredible! Thank you for such a lovely night.
Great staff and lovely atmosphere. Always love Cote as it is consistently good, food is simple but tasty and the staff are just the best.
Good quality food and at reasonable prices. Save space for the crème caramel! Service was a little slow but friendly and helpful. I would definitely go again. Recommended!
As always excellent service and food. Slower than normal perhaps but the restaurant was almost full and everyone arrive before 7pm for the setmenu perfhaps
We were looking after really well, my mum who was the bride got given a complimentary glass of prosecco which was a nice touch & the food was delicious. I can’t have Diary & the waitress (girly blonde hair in a ponytail, young maybe early 20’s) that took care of our table helped me know what food was safe for me to eat & checked with the kitchen staff. Our bill had green beans on there which we ordered but we never got them & they forgot to take of the prosecco which was supposed to be complimentary, the lady (long dark hair) apologies & remover these items straight away. We had a great night thank you.
The finest restaurant in Clifton, even Bristol, continues to provide a superb evening of fine food and first class service. One does not need to travel any further. A wonderful evening as always. Thanks to all involved.
The starters were delicious, and the mains absolutely fabulous and tasty for which the chef and kitchen sataff should be congratulated. The service given by the restaurant staff was exemplary. Well done to all.
Really good service again (after some disappointing visits). First rate meal - especially steak (again has been disappointing in recent visits). We've stayed away for the last few months but we'll be back now!
We received a warm welcome, special table for my birthday daughter, good service, efficient staff and a nice surprise of a free birthday pudding. Thank you.
It is always a pleasure eating at this popular restaurant. Great food, attentive service and a cosy setting make this a firm favourite for us.
Always a lovely atmosphere staff good and food lovely. Good value for money. All tastes catered for and a good wine choice. Also gluten free diets catered for.
Very good and consistent standard of food. Excellent service, despite being very busy on Sunday. Only slight concern is the noise level. Will come again.
Today this was a mixed experience - we got the free bottle of wine which was part of the deal we booked and the wine tasted lovely. However, the food options were a little disappointing. There was no lamb anywhere on the menu which is usually a top choice for me and the only duck dish they's run out of. Two of our party ordered the roast chicken which was supposed to come with beans but this was more like a garnish than a vegetable -they had four beans each! My fish parmentier was also a bit disappointing - a very small portion for the money and hardly any taste of the gruyere cheese topping. The one saving grace was that we were able to choose a table in the quieter part of the restaurant.
Usual buzzy place with cheerful and quick staff. I still find the hierarchy by which X brings the main course out and Y then transfers it to our places rather odd. But the choice remains wide and therefore good for hungry young men as well as children and golden oldies. I had earned a bottle of wine and it came immediately without any question and was very decent as well. Sensible prices, too. It's our 'go to' restaurant and it did not let us down.
Good food and great service - as always. My granddaughter was really pleased with the little extras she received to celebrate her 13th bithday. Thank you
Really nice ambience, buzzing but not overly busy. Very speedy & attentive service & quality food. The early evening deal is also great value. Will definitely go again.
Fantastic fantastic fantastic restaurant this is our favourite, the staff are fantastic, the food is just to die for
Ate off the al la carte menu and have to say that we preferred your two/three course deal menu. None the less, the food and service are good.
This is my favourite Cote. I eat here regularly because I love the service, food and atmosphere. There is plenty of choice on the menu.
It wasn't as good as previously - I think the noise was particularly off putting but also we had a delay in part of our group arriving and this delayed us ordering but we had several different waiters keep asking us if we were ready to order then when we were ready it was hard to get the attention of the waiter/waitress.
Fantastic restaurant with good food and service at reasonable prices, we will be back for a visit to our local Tunbridge Wells branch in the near future.
As is every visit to cote clifton village it starts as soon as you walk through the doors you are made to fill special the staf are all well trained .The choice and the food are properly served and excellent.
Add Organic food, and wines pls. Professional, polite staff and Good lighting on table 49. Can you change the menu soon as it has been the same for a while. Overall excellent, perfect evening
A very nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Also a good knowledge of the Wine list. Food was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Up to the usual Côte standard... delicious food and excellent service. Particularly impressed with the waiter called Alex. I would not hesitate to rerurn here..
lovely service, staff were great and the food was amazing and such excellent value for money. We had a table booked for 11:30, but arrived early. they were happy to seat us early.
Great meal and good service, even though the place was very busy Helpful staff who all seemed to have eaten the menu and had suggestions
Low last time I am afraid. Not up to normal standard as the food was not particularly hot and we did not have time to complain as we were on a tight time schedule. Steak frite on the tough side.
Friendly and efficient. Food well presented and well cooked. Steak frites still classic dish, onion soup magnificent the Muscadet to drink and I Will return frequently
We had a very good experience at your restaurant. The maitre de was friendly and helpful. The service was good the food was good and the atmosphere lively and warm.
Extremely busy, chosen white wine was warm and not able to supply a chilled one. Alternative offered which was ok and although slightly more expensive the cost of olives we had was removed from the bill. Service was otherwise good.
Everything went well. We were seated without delay - even though we arrived a little earlier than booked - and in a comfortable spot. We took time making our selections as we were talking so much , then our questions were answered when we were ready to order. The light mains and glasses of wine that we ordered were delicious and just right. Our friends were impressed and I was very glad that I had chosen Côte.
Excellent meal at Cote Brasserie in Clifton Bristol.!!! The service was also very good. I highly recommend the restaurant for its ambiance and food quality.
Good service, the food was really nice especially the prawns and the pork belly. The set menu is also really good value for money and the service was very quick
Good food at excellent prices. Varies every month. Good rewards for loyalty each month. Excellent white wine today Outstanding service as always. Family also enjoyed lunch at Table 60.
Staff as usual were absolutely great. That always makes it perfect for me. Obviously the food is important too, but many places have good food if equal standard. Cote Brasserie has the edge as the attitude of the servers is always pleasant and consistent.
Food was outstanding, romantic and cosy atmosphere with great service. Steak tartar to start with a pork belly main followed by a sexy chocolotte dessert with a cheeky Remy Martin cognac. What dreams are made of.
Quality of food is always high, and the service has always been both friendly and efficient. Restaurant was very full so service was a little slower than usual but no problem.
The food is really, really good as you would expect from French cookery. The picture windows enable you to watch the world go by and imagine you are in Montparnasse, Paris, reading existential novels. The service is top class. Really delightful place to spend some time. Thank you.
This was our second visit to Cotes and we were not disappointed the food and the flavours are amazing the atmosphere is fantastic and the Staff are helpful, friendly and very attentive 10 out of 10 experience - thank you Cotes Brasserie 👍
Always fabulous service, excellent food and super portions. The creme caramel is delicious - highly recommend! I have eaten at Côte many many times, never been disappointed.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, good service with warm welcome, and obliging as we were in a hurry to get to the theatre, but waiter forgot one of our drinks.
