Côte Bristol Clifton Village

The food was very good, and was delivered quickly, very efficient service, good atmosphere! My first time in your restaurant in Clifton Village and i’ll be coming back.

Good quality food from lunchtime special menu. Our Starters arrived quickly, main course a bit slower. Otherwise attentive and friendly service. Thankfully, music not intrusive.

Fantastic food and a very nice evening, only criticism was the amount of tables positioned on the lower area, the waitress had to pass the food across the table as there was not enough room to get around or between tables. It was noted and hopefully next time they will remove one table for 2 which will sort this problem. Again I will say the food was excellent.

A lovely dining experience. Very attentive service from start to finish. Variety of menu options available from quick lunch, specials and a la carte. Food service was great, right amount of time between courses. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Great lunch with elderly parents and our son on his 21st. The restaurant is smart and roomy, the service excellent and good value. Highly recommended.

It started so well. Good Location, met with a smile and ushered to our table quickly. Bread & water arrived promptly as did order taking and starter/main delivery. First problem was that the Fillet steak looked nothing like a fillet I had seen... more like a slightly fat Sirloin but it tasted nice so didn't mention anything...... then we were left..... literally on our own for 20 mins after the main. I had to stand and go and find some staff to serve us dessert menus. 20 mins later in a now almost empty restaurant I had to ask if the desserts were coming??? I got a short and shirty look when answered "they will be with you soon!". We had a table of 6 on a Friday lunch time. Nice enough but with the choice available in Clifton and Bristol I won't rush back.

Very busy restaurant but food excellent & staff very attentive, had chicken liver parfait, duck & tart Tatum, this was a birthday treat, lovely atmosphere

Great food and service. Been a few times now and always enjoyed it. Will definitely recommend and will continue to visit Cote. Give it a go!

The food was tasty and there was a good choice. The restaurant easily catered for gluten free. The staff were friendly and helpful and service was good.

Service very good but some of the food tasted as if it had been pre-cooked and kept warm. The duck breast starter was quite dry for example.

We had a family dinner at Cote, Clifton on Saturday night. The service was quick and efficient and the food was delicious. Very pleasant evening.

Just had a very nice evening here. Outstanding service and food. A must visit in Clifton if you enjoy good food and a really nice atmosphere. Best book on a Saturday though. Well done

Thank you to the Manager who prepared an individual menu for our daughter to accommodate her allergies. What excellent service! We all had a lovely meal and a great evening.

Good food and service in a lively buzzing restaurant. Glad we booked at Saturday lunchtime as it was very full. We would definitely go there again.

A lovely meal. Only lost a point as only advised when we arrived that we only had table for 90 mins. Then the service was slow to get going. Had we wanted dessert and coffee we’d have taken too long. We like it here though, good food and atmosphere. Service is normally better. We’ll be back.

The atmosphere and food were as good as ever but it was a very busy Monday lunch and it appeared that they were understaffed which caused some confusion with our order.

Reliable and very good, it is also pretty good value compared to other Clifton Village venues. Solid French brasserie fare, nothing very adventurous, which also describes the wine list.

Excellent service and really delicious food . Quite often eat at various different Cote restaurants around country, but this , in Clifton ,was best meal in a Cote restaurant ever had . Can recommend seasonal specials .

Excellent friendly service. Good food with interesting daily specials. Always busy and a good atmosphere. The manager is always welcoming and accommodating. My go to restaurant for a good value breakfast lunch or dinner.

The food was good but the service very slow due time problems in the kitchen. We appreciated the fact that our bill was reduced accordingly.

Welcoming reception, very helpful on my 'reward', excellent food and wine, a culture it seems that genuinely puts the client first, with an ambience that lifts the spirit - lost of cheerful chatter, but nothing that you can actuakly hear with precision. Just an excellent night out, after a long and hard day.

Lovely food great service, quite a busy noisy restaurant so not as intimate as some of the branches. It was my birthday so we all got a complementary drink which was a nice touch.

Food was adequate service was very good Saturday night so very busy and noisy lack an atmosphere at £50 per head a little expensive and HATE the 12.5% service automatically being added to the bill I still believe that service is what it says and it is at my discretion

Food pretty average as was the service. Light could be better which would make reading the menu easier. Would prefer the service charge to be added at my discretion and not an automatic 12 and a half percent.

The food is always excellent and the staff are always excellent too. It s always a pleasure to eat at Cote Brasserie. I have eaten at 3 different Cotes now and the standard is consistent.

Constantly good food,polite waiters ,service is just what you expect it’s there when you require attention They change the specials menus monthly so if you are a regular you can have a change on menu

We had a wonderful dinner at Cote. The food was amazing. We both had steak which were perfect. The staff made us feel very welcome and were lovely as usual. One of our favourite restaurants!!

I enjoyed a relaxed leisurely meal with friends at Cote, Clifton Village. The waiting staff were consistently helpful and patient while we made our choices from the varied menu.

Good service, nice to have free wine and really enjoyed the rabbit pie. We were a group of 12 and everyone seemed to be happy with their meal.

We had pre-ordered but it took over 30 minutes for the first course to arrive, possibly due to one of the requested starters being unavailable. However, when the food arrived it was excellent and the rest of the course arrived in a timely manner.

Went on a Friday night so busy but great atmosphere and lovely food. Waiters slightly overbearing but definitely friendly. Would highly recommend this place for a relaxed evening out

Food was good and reasonably priced. Disappointed about the table as it was near the toilets and we were constantly having people walk by and stand around near the toilet. The table was also up against a coat stand and did not allow easy access for the waitress so food drinks and plates were handed over across the . Surprised how noisy it was - great for larger parties.

We have visited Coates a number of times and it always delivers. Today was for a quick lunch in Clifton Village. Their set menu is such great value you can’t go wrong and I do believe their Creme Caramel is one of the best around. We will keep on returning.

Warm welcome, great value and five tasty main courses. Staff excellent as attentive and helpful. This particular Cote restaurant always busy and has a very good atmosphere. We have never been disappointed whether its a family lunch or dinner, a hen dinner or a staff dinner!

Unfortunately and unusually we had some complaints about the cooking of our breakfast. However, the waiting staff were helpful and efficient in sorting out the problems. We have visited Cote establishments on many occasions and previously experienced only good food and great service.

A very popular, lovely restaurant in Clifton, Bristol. Although busy there was a good atmosphere and everything seemed calm and enjoyable. Excellent customer service. Tasty, enjoyable good.

Good food, good service, fair price...all spoilt by an unnecessary addition of 12.5% "optional" gratuity, to the bill. Do they think I need to be prompted? Have they a right to embarrass me into giving a tip that is above the norm? Are control freaks really necessary? Will I be back?

Really enjoyed the food and staff really great, will visit again soon. Prices very reasonable. Free bottle of Chardonnay was a nice bonus, our waiter Tibor was very attentive.
