Côte Bristol Clifton Village

Unfortunately my friend and I were disappointed with our evening. We had to prompt for our drinks order which you kindly didn’t charge us. My ravioli was rather tough and unfortunately my friends apple tart was cold and inedible. We are regulars at cote but we would definitely have preferred your normal menu. We did not feel that it represented Cotes normal good quality food which we have always enjoyed previously.

The atmosphere was lively but quite loud for a lunchtime. The food was reasonable but nothing out of the ordinary, however, the restaurant catered well for Gluten Free and Vegan customers. The waitress was polite and helpful and the waiting time was very good. A little expensive for what you got.

It is difficult to say anything but Wow - wow -wow. The staff - the food - the ambience - the whole experience is just the reason we visit EVERY SINGLE WEEK. Thanks for everything during 2019. Roll on 2020.

Though the restaurant was crowded we were found a fairly quiet table, served promptly and helpfully. Food was excellent (especially the creme caramel!).

Service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good selection on menu. Not too much choice. Food was presented well, good quality and tasty.

Our waitress seemed very tired. It was my birthday supper which is usually celebrated at Cote, Clifton. I am usually given a glass of wine which is a lovely treat. However, on this visit I missed this touch.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here, food was very tasteful and cooked perfectly. I had the grilled sea bass which came in two halves along with fennel a creamy sauce and water cress. I also ordered sides of chips and a tomato and basil salad. My partner had a 10oz steak which was cooked to order, medium rare. It came with chips and had green salad on the side. Staff was really friendly and the a high quality of service was given. The only thing I’d fault would be to pay extra for sides if you want them as the main meal on its own isn’t enough. A bit pricey for what we had but what do you expect when you’re in the heart of Bristol, Clifton. We will defiantly be coming back again I’m sure.

There was 5 in our party and at the end of our pre-Christmas breakfast get together we all agreed that we enjoyed the atmosphere, the waiter was outstanding and the food was great, only one of us stated that her eggs were a little over cooked for her liking.

We booked for a Christmas Eve light meal. The atmosphere was great, the food choice perfect and the portion size excellent. The service and the waiting team was attentive but not over powering. The best Xmas Eve meal we have had.

Celebration lunch for our 97 year old mum, the restaurant accommodated us at a comfortable table near the door which was ideal given her infirmity. Good service generally given the restaurant was very busy, food excellent.

A wonderful Happy Christmas Eve lunch , great menu , and super service , we have been many times to Côte Clifton and always an excellent meal. Well Done

Lively atmosphere, excellent food and good value in a good location.

Breakfast great value, this is a super restaurant for brunch. Would recommend reducing the 4 seater table at bar level to a 2 seater as it is right by accessible toilet, not great for those at this table but also disabled people do not have enough room to pass to access the toilet. This is always an issue when we visit and most certainly against disabled access legislation.

Excellent service and good value food as always 8n Clifton village.

We enjoyed a mostly pleasant Chrismtas lunch, with a couple of negatives. Food was largely tasty and we were all served together. We felt space was a little cramped. We waited quite long times in our opinions to attract the attention of our server's attention, especially for the bill. We ordered drinks upon arrival, but aside from this we were not asked if we needed more drinks and this would have been helpful. 3 of the 4 people who ordered steaks were not entirely satisfied with how they were cooked, i.e. they were not consistently "medium". Perhaps the wrong steaks were given to the wrong people. However, we understand this is a busy time for restaurants and that with ordering from a Christmas menu for 8 people at once will compromise the quality. We would consider Cote for a similar event in the future.
