Service very good, very helpful with regards my dairy intolerance. Duck main course excellent, prawn starter not that good - Cote usually do it better.

Delicious French food in a nice setting. Great value set menu - 3 courses £13.50. Very good service with all courses coming out quickly. I would recommend!

The food was good, as always, but on this occasion the service, despite what would appear to have been plenty of staff, was very slow and somewhat inattentive, although staff very pleasant when finally alerted.

Seated on time and at a table we had requested. Service was a little slow and it took a while for our waitress to come to our table. We also had to remind the staff twice that we were there enjoying out cote reward. Although the food was as always fabulous, our table was cleared by a waiter before all members of our party had finished eating.

Food was great, along with serving staff. I felt the male restaurant manager was a bit short towards our table but perhaps this was due to the busy Saturday lunchtime.

Food was excellent. The new menu items are superb. Service was as always swift unobtrusive and very good. Cote Clifton Village is somewhere I would recommend to dine at.

It was good to enjoy dinner back in the UK after our return from a cruise and where better than Cote, especially as we were able to drink a complimentary bottle of Chemin de Marquiere earned through our Loyalty Points. It complemented our food perfectly and, of course, the service was up to the usual high standard. We look forward to another visit soon.

The food was up to the usual high standard one expects at Cote, but my companion and I felt the service was a little rushed.

This restaurant in Clifton offers a great and extensive menu, the food was delicious and the service from our waiter was brilliant. We have eaten at a brasserie very close to this restaurant but there is no comparison, Cote wins hands down in all ways.

This was a rather special celebratory evening with friends. Couldn't have wished for better. Delighted that the crab mayonnaise (our favourite starter) was back on the menu. All four ordered different mains (lamb rump, duck breast, haddock, fish stew). All were impeccable. The loyalty-award sauvignon was a much-appreciated bonus. The highlight: our multi-lingual waiter was both expertly attentive and great fun. Sunday evening was also blessedly less noisy than sometimes. We'll be back.

As always we found the Clifton Cote to be one of the best. We went twice last week. Once with a party of 22 I organised and then just the two of us. Excellent in all respects. Service ,food, helpfulness and kindness to especially the old ones that we we went with! Also so good value especially the set menu for lunch.

Lovely service and friendly atmosphere - let down by cold food delivered on plate. Steak for steak frites was sinuous and 50% ended up indigestible and left on plate

Lovely atmosphere and very good service, but really don't like the fact that a gratuity is added by the restaurant as a matter of course. Food was great although I was charged for a two course meal when I only had one!

We were 3 adults plus an infant in a high chair. Generally, our visit went well. Just a couple of small points : the service was a bit slow, even though the restaurant was very quiet. My wife had the "fish parmentier" main course and she found it somewhat salty. I had rib-eye steak, very good as always. Despite our minor gripes, we will continue to visit Cote - it remains our favourite of all the "chain" restaurants.

As requested we were given a quiet table. We had efficient and friendly service. Our choices came really quickly but at no point were we rushed. Our choices were excellent starters- calamari and crab mayonnaise. Main- Roast Haddock and Roast Sea Bass with Artichoke Gratine. We were so full that we skipped the dessert. An excellent Chemin Merlot completed the trick. We will be back

Always great food and service. 3rd visit in the last 12 months and consistency speaks for itself. They added service charge on automatically, which was a annoying, but service good so didn't mind.

Going to Cote always reminds of living in France. It was good last night as the starter we had (moules) was not even on the menu. Well done!

Average experience. Sadly, beer was not that cold. Clearly had not been in the fridge long. Understandable on a busy day but it was 6.30 on Sunday in October. Sirloin steak was very fatty, really disappointing. Second drink ordered was also warm. Room for improvement - especially when you spend near £100!

Unfortunately the service and my food was not as good as normal on my visit last night. Waitress attempted to clear plates from the table when someone was still eating, waiter was in our face for the first forty minutes but when we wanted some more drinks was no where to be found. My haddock was dry and totally overcooked. The acoustics in the upper levels of the restaurant are still poor - it is difficult to hear and my ears always buzz for a few hours after.

The restaurant has a lovely location although parking is extremely limited. I have always enjoyed a good steak in the past but this time it was dreadful I just couldn't chew it it was so tough. The others meals were good and the dessert was excellent. The Waitrose didn't seem to notice the half chewed meat on the side of the plate.

Ordered 4 starters only 3 arrived of which 1was really poor - French onion soup - toast was burnt and very little cheese - this was eventually replaced by another which was like warm - same as peppercorn sauce for the fillet steak - very disappointed given the bill was circa £180

This was a very satisfactory evening. The staff were polite, attentive and receptive to our requests. The food options were good, and one selection was withdrawn by chef and an excellent alternative suggested. Thanks for a great evening.

We were recognised and warmly welcomed. I needed advice as to which meat was the most tender as I was due for dental treatment. The boeuf bourguignon was recommended and it was perfect - tasty and tender. On leaving I told the waiter that the chef should be awarded a medal for the Pain Perdu (bread and butter pudding). that I chose for dessert - crisp on the outside and moist inside. Nothing like school ones! A most enjoyable evening and highly recommended.
