Côte Bristol Clifton Village

We went to Cote Brasserie for my birthday last night and were greeted by very pleasant staff. The food was good quality and the ambience very pleasant.

Food and wine excellent, service outstanding and ambiance and views first class. I have been to 20 different Cote's and this is one of my favourites.

Lovely staff, great food. We liked the choice on the menu and the atmosphere & ambience in the restaurant. there could have been an early set menu.

A lovely supper just before Christmas. Food was excellent however staff were in a hurry to clear empty bottles and removed my bottle of delicious Breton cider with some left in it!!!!

The food and service were good but it was very busy with large parties. Despite having booked well in advance tables initially offered were very poor

Table booked for 8.30pm, sat down at 9.10pm. Then took 3 hours to serve 3 courses, which meant we were eating our desert gone mid-night!! Food excellent, service a bit slow (due to the numbers) should probably had more staff working (although understand why -- New Years Eve.

It was my wife's Birthday on Boxing day, and we sat down ordered our food with side waited about 20 Minutes then the food come out to us. We had a starter then the main course, Main course arrived and then they said anything else we can get you. I said yes we are waiting for our side disses but nothing came. Ask the waiter where our sides were and he said that he had forgot to order the sides they wont be a minute. We started to eat main course as it was getting cold. The waiter came back and said sorry by then we had eaten our main course and it was to late. So I said forget the sides now its to late. We walked out my wife was upset and they still charged me for service charge, I just paid, wish I took service charge off bill now. WONT be returning again.

Excellent customer service and the food was fantastic for such a busy night of the year. I Could not fault the experience we had here.

Food and service were great. However they didn't have any of the white wine we wanted which is a shame as the wine list is limited. Overall a lovely evening

Great value set menu - 3 courses plus olives and amuse bouche - for New Year’s Eve, all to very high standard. Service great too

Excellent as always and the staff are just fantastic. We will be returning in January, Our two waitresses were outstanding and I am sure that they will continue to be until the end of their shift late tonight!

We ate at Cote on my husband's birthday on the 19th of December and were disappointed. The whole experience was very rushed and wasn't typical of French service. When we were first seated we waited 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order, our starters were ordered at the same time and arrived with our drinks-it would have been nice to have had our drinks before the starters. Our main course arrived within minutes of our starters being taken away. As an explanation we were told that they were expecting a large party. I don't think that is a valid reason for rushing us through, what should have been an enjoyable leisurely lunch felt frenetic. I noticed that we had had our starter and main within half an hour which is very rushed by any standard. When it came to dessert I asked for more time which was duly given. The waitress who served us was good; it wasn't her fault that the service was rushed and I heard her pass on my concerns to the person in charge-who didn't even bother to come over and speak to us. The food was good, our starters were well presented, the duck for our main course was cooked correctly and the Dauphinnoise potatoes were very good, although there was a distinct lack of vegetables which if you required additional had to be ordered separately at extra cost. The dark chocolate dessert was not dark chocolate-it was too creamy. I would not recommend Cote if you want a relaxed meal, I appreciate that it was close to Christmas, but they were not exceeding their covers and we had booked our table for an hour before the large party was due so I don't see why our meal was rushed to accommodate the bigger party. Although the cynic in me would probably say that a large Christmas party were going to be spending a lot more money than two people celebrating a birthday. All in all I doubt that we will return to Cote.

The service was great, friendly and professional. The food was excellent. As a coeliac I need to have gluten free good. They have a separate menu which had plenty of choice. The food came out clearly labelled as gluten free which gives real peace of mind.

Pots of tea only half filled, mistakes with order, plates cold, will definitely not be returning as there are many better options for breakfast in Bristol. A very disappointing way to start my birthday.

A really nice dinner, all courses and choices in our party expertly cooked and well presented. Our waiter was particularly helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble, and we will go again.

We visited Cote Clifton. Perfect table at the top of the restaurant, excellent service, friendly and polite. The food we chose was simple but perfectly cooked and presented. Would definitely return. Thank you

I can never fault Cote, or st least I have never had cause to. Wonderful food, wonderful ambience and the service is sublime. Yet another super visit.

We have used Cote on many occasions with excellent food and service. This time my daughter had cod goujons and the last piece tasted funny. Both the waitress and manager apologised and she was given her meal and dessert on the house. Excellent way to resolve the only complaint we have ever made at Cote. Thank you

First class from the moment we arrived until we left. We had the set menu and it was excellent in terms of value for money and quality of the food.

Fantastic value, simple quality food, excellent service and atmosphere. How they maintain the standard across all their outlets is a mystery. Probably not the place for an intimate supper, definately for a fun lunch/early dinner.

All good but just a bit of table delay which meant we had to go to the pub to meet guests (raining) and so incurred an extra round (8) of drinks (complimentary bottle?) but it was Boxing Day.

Lovely food, good sevice - just great as always. Cote is a great restaurant choice - you know it will always be good. And the great gluten free choice is a real plus

Our table was ready when we arrived to a warm welcoming atmosphere. Excellent food and friendly service ,as usual ,we will be back soon !

Our Food and the very friendly and efficient service was excellent as usual despite being extremely busy being Christmas season. We look forward to another visit in the near future.

Delicious food, great service, pleasant and spacious venue. Good place for a large family meal. My crab mayonnaise (with avocado) was delicious as was my Breton fish soup.

Lovely service and atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and polite. Great menu and food was very good all served in timely fashion. Great for bigger groups.

Excellent breakfast to start our Christmas Eve festivities, good atmosphere and staff efficient and friendly. Gluten free options excellent too and they are coeliac accredited so you can eat there with confidence

It was a birthday treat for me. Wonderful atmosphere as the place filled up. A hearty breakfast enjoyed by all with the usual Cote good service and attention. We will be back next year ,if not before,for my 70th birthday😀 Seasons greetings to you all.

Wonderful as always. I can’t fault the service or the food and the overall ambience is great. It can occasionally get a little noisy on busy evenings.

Excelkent food choice with three menus befire 7 pm. Delay with one starter hence score 5 not 6. Ambiance and service abd food all excellent.

I had a wonderful birthday dinner at Cote. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The first time I tried to post this it would not go so am wondering if it will go this time.

As always the food was excellent and good value for money. The Staff were friendly and everything was done to optimum efficiency without us ever feeling we were being rushed. A thoroughly enjoyable evening

The service was excellent.The staff were very good with the children. They moved our table as there was a noisy party going on and did all they could to help. Food was good as usual

Wonderful food, great atmosphere. This place is so lovely, very friendly staff and the food ( Christmas menu) was perfect. Attentive staff, but not pushy.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience at a fairly reasonable price. Moules to start were just delicious Mains were good, both Fish and Minute steak. The Italian waiter was brilliant and made the visit a real pleasure. Definitely worth another visit.

Food, service and ambience were excellent! We have been many times to this branch of Cote and it has never yet failed us. My guest today said it was the best steak he had ever eaten!!

Very good local restaurant for reliability and good food. Not Michelin star but good quality with friendly staff..esp for us locals,breakfast lunch and dinner recommended.

Great atmosphere, with a good choice of tasty food. Service was excellent and price was very competitive. Will certainly be be back for another meal.

Food very good. Service helpful and friendly. Table offered far too small so had to request another. Nobody offered to take our coats. When I booked I was told we'd have to choose from xmas menu but were told when we arrived that this was not so.

Food excellent quality and well presented. Restaurant could be designed better to reduce levels of noise. Pricing of the early evening menu a definite attraction

Amazing food, both starter and main course delicious. Atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. We had two minor accidents with the waiters but other than that couldn’t find fault.

We booked in for lunch last Wednesday. We had an excellent meal. The staff were first class - helpful and attentive and made the occasion more than just a lunch out. Would recommend anytime.

Côte always deliver great food and service. Their set menu is one of best value with the most consistently delicious food. Highly recommended and will return.

Always nice range of food, well prepared and good service. Only small thing is that in cold weather the curtain by the front door doesn’t keep all of the draughts out.

We went to Cote Brasserie in Clifton the weekend before Christmas. Although busy, the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic and great atmosphere. Sometimes difficult to hear ourselves - could have been due to the lack of soft furnishings, the fact that there were loads of people there, or our age :)

A very pleasant lunch well prepared and good service. We will come again to this excellent restaurant to what other excellent food you can prepare for us. Well done!

Lovely food and the staff are so friendly, this is our fourth visit as my son lives in Clifton, we will definitely come back again,
