We had a perfect ‘Beat the winter blues’ lunch at Côte Bournemouth today including a free bottle of wine with a voucher we received in December. The food was delicious, the atmosphere just right and staff did not rush us over our lengthy lunch. Highly recommended.
My wife and I dined at the Bournemouth Restaurant last night having already booked. We were greeted by a vey pleasant waiter and had the benefit of choosing a table. The restaurant was far from full. However, after that we were attended by the manager who's sole aim seemed to be to serve with the utmost speed possible at the expense of any customer care or pleasantries at all. Dishes were presented to us with gusto, water bottles plonked on the table as she rushed on by to other tables. There was a complete absence of being made to feel welcome or valued as customers. When the time came to pay the bill, the 12.5% gratuity was added. I took the opportunity at this point to mention in a gentle polite way about how we both felt about the treatment received. We had an intense assertive tirade of defensiveness and was informed of her onerous duties that she had to concentrate on over the whole floor! Unfortunately unable to accept her customer's impression or comments on her performance she maintained her position of knowing better. Fortunately the meal was up to the usual high standard and the complimentary wine was OK. We understand that the manager is not normally based at this restaurant and so will no doubt return.
We had a lovely meal though did not realise they do not offer the 3 course for £13.50 on a Sunday. Still good value though.
Wonderful time would recommend. Nice atmosphere and really good breakfast the service was very pleasant. The restaurant was clean. We are from the midlands and usually go to the leamington cote. This one is as good if not better.
Excellent lunch. Great food and good service. Will definitely go again. Portions good size and good value . Quiet and well run bistro. A great asset to the town.
Delicious food with a substantial gluten free menu. Friendly staff and the service was good. A bit cheeky to add on a 12.5% gratuity charge but would recommend to others nonetheless.
Excellent evening at cote bournemouth.location was good very polite greeting by the door as we entered .bottle of Merlot complimented our meal, which was very good.
Always reliable for tasty, good quality food as experienced in London and Salisbury, this is the second visit to Cote Bournemouth and, thankfully, there has been time for the problems with the slightly chaotic service during the first visit to be ironed out. Now service is as good as it should be and we look forward to a third visit.
Excellent - Great service and great good! The waitress and staff were extremely friendly and wished my partner a Happy Birthday! Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Service and food was excellent. The range of dishes available on the menu caters for the majority of diners and there is also a well balanced wine list.
Normally in all the Cote restaurants we have been to the service is usually very good indeed, you are happy to leave the automatically added tip. However today at Cote in Bournemouth it was as if they didn't care. I went with my parents as a treat! Drinks - that bit was fine, we then needed to ask them to take our order as we waited patiently , order now placed waiting very patiently for our food........ starters took an eternity, when they arrived they were cold (should have been hot) and tasted as if they had been hanging around for a bit however we were all so hungry we could not bear to sent them back. Then, our main course arrived before we had finished our starters! We sent them back and when they did bring them back the food was its usual good standard. We had to ask for the bill and then fed up of waiting went to the till to pay. What happened Cote Bournemouth? we have never had this experience before at any of the Cote restaurants we have been to.
Great waiters and amazing food. The atmosphere was informal yet intimate and we had a great family meal.Highly recommend this place for an evening out.
The restaurant was welcoming. The staff were attentive and efficient. The menu suited the vegetarians in the party as well as the youngsters. A very good experience
After all, it's a chain restaurant. I should have refused to pay the service charge. Watch out, 12.50% service charge will be added on your food bill for nothing.
Second time there and every bit as Good as the first. Great food wonderfull service would definitely recommend.
it was a very pleasant lunchtime, very good food, courteous staff, very helpful people. We would advise them to expand their repertoire of drinks before the meal to include Campari, red Martini or Dubonnet so that people who need to drive could have some diluted moderately alcoholic drink. We have particularly admired their sauces and Chocolate mouse as well as the speed of serving enabling us to have a leisurely lunch. We will go again and recommend the place to our friends.
Regularly dine at Côte in Notting Hill. First visit to new Bournemouth restaurant. Friendly service and lovely ambiance. Excellent duck confit; better than we had in Paris. Put it on the regular menu!
Lovely restaurant with well cooked beautifully presented food. This was our 4th time, and every time has been a delight. Staff very attentive and gave us breaks between courses. Excellent venue.
Food fab, good service, busy for weds nite. Only niggle - added 12.5% service charge to bill. Table of 6 which we could have changed
The set menu choice was good and the food very nice. It was busy which generated a good atmosphere but taking our food order was very slow.
Our visit to Cote Bournemouth was a great success. As ever it was very clean, the staff were charming and the food delicious and reasonably priced. We had dinner and breakfast both of which exceeded our expectations. It was very busy on both our visits, luckily we booked for dinner - although I think we were early for breakfast (10am) it had really filled up when we left. The £10.50 complet was really good value and the food was excellent quality. There really is no need to travel to Paris for the brasserie experience when you have Cote in Bournemouth -oui?!
Great location and food and service all positive good quality food light and airy restaurant tables not too close together. A good overall experience would recommend.
We had no problem with our lunch today. There were 4 of us and we enjoyed ourselves. Good service and attention and a great meal. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. Since we are local we would expect to make further visits to Cote in due course.
Great service and great value for money! Great wine. Very clean and tidy. Lovely location can window watch. Lovely choice of starters mains and deserts.
Really good starter, including warm toast. Steak really good, could have done with some salad. Service very good. Will visit again in the near future
Our welcome was fine and our waiter was pleasant. We enjoyed our meal, but were disappointed to be questioned closely about an emailed voucher for a free bottle of wine we had received. This merely said that if we visited in January, we could have a bottle of house wine. We were eventually served with this, but not until I had been made to feel very uncomfortable, by the manager We will visit again, but hope fpr a diffetent experience.
Service as usual was excellent! I had steak frites - the steak was amazing and frites were delicious but a little too salty! The meal would have been improved with a scattering of watercress.
the Menu and quality of food is excellent . Tables for two a little small to enjoy a meal never the less very enjoyable experience.
Good service even though it was busy, lovely freshly cooked food with good wine . First time we have been to this Cote in Bournemouth will not be the last.
Food was good but for me I like hot food not warm food. The servers were friendly but service a little slow. If not for that I would have given it full marks.
Reliably & consistently excellent food and service in pleasant surroundings and atmosphere upon our fourth visit to Bournemouth branch. Good location and design-proper brassiere indeed.
This was our fourth visit since opening in Bournemouth. Consistently good food. Although service charge adds significantly to the final bill, in our opinion deserving.
Great food and very friendly staff. Good set menu, 3 courses 13.50 and an extensive a la carte menu. Good wine list. Will be going back.
Fantastic food in lovely surroundings. Seemed to be understaffed with one waitress for the whole first floor. If your require a quicker lunch you will need to make them aware as 3 courses took them over 2 hours. Great value set lunch.
A very nice new Cote - well up to the standard of all the other ones. Good hot food and very good service. Recommended. The only slight blemish was that the wifi system didn't seem to be working properly - so one couldn't email or use WhatsApp. Gather others had the same problem earlier and despite resetting the system, it hadn't solved the problem.
Great food and drink with excellent service from beginning to end. Menus are imaginative without being fussy and the wine list is generally good at reasonable prices. Best part is the staff, who are efficient and friendly - where do they find them?
Best breakfast in town. Great food competently served in comfortable relaxed atmosphere.
Large restaurant with pleasant decor. The service was good and the food from the a la carte menu very nice though the portions were a bit small.
Excellent food and lovely service. Do enjoy our visits to Cote. If anyone comes to visit from out of town, our first choice to take them is Cote.
We enjoyed our visit to the new Cote in Bournemouth. The usual wide choice of menus and good frindly service encountered in other branches we have visited.
Excellent food as always but the server forgot about asking two of our party if we wanted drinks. Everything was fine in the end and everybody enjoyed the evening.
A proper taste of France..... the nearest we English get to a French Bistrotthis side of the Channel. Professional staff, food centred and wine as well!!
We went on new year and the service and the food was still really good. The only annoying thing was they has ran out of muscles so had swapped it for breaded calamari instead. Of course muscles on new year would have been a preference. A shame.
Excellent choice of food. Fab fish. Good wine. Brilliant friendly service. Quick and clean and bright interior. Comfortable seats. Not rushed to depart from table
Amazing food and staff were exceptional. Excellent choice of Gluten Free options available for my friend who is coeliac too. Very impressed. Will definitely eat here again.
Fantastic meal and an absolutely immaculate venue. Exceptional service as always - Will always return. All aspects of the meal were perfect and the staff are always on hand.
Our first visit to the Cote in Bournemouth it's in a lovely building in a central position in the town and both the food and service was excellent
Fantastic atmosphere and wonderful food. Our party of 6 had a varied selection from the menu and we all rated the meal very highly. Staff could not do more for us, so friendly and helpful.
Great time on New Year’s Eve, amazing value for money and attentive staff! Will return again soon for dinner or breakfast when we are in Bournemouth next.
New Years Eve so very busy but staff were excellent and very friendly. Nothing seemed too much bother for them. Even a complimentary glass of Prosecco at midnight. Well done Cote and our Italian waiter.
