Great food, service and atmosphere really enjoyed our time here

Friendly, attentive staff and very good food. Well worth a visit if you're in Bournemouth.

Our first visit for our Wedding Anniversary. We were recommended by friends and they were right. We immediately received a warm welcome on arrival and were shown straight to our table. We were given time to settle, a bottle of tap water was brought and were asked if we’d like a drink. This soon arrived and we were again politely asked if we were ready to order. The food arrived at the appropriate time interval and was truly excellent. The staff are plentiful, warm and friendly, with time for us. A great find, we will return.

Excellent food and front of house. I tried the new chicken w/Artichoke and can honestly say the chicken breast was amazingly tender and juicy amongst the best I've ever had!! The mash and jus were a perfect accompaniment and very well seasoned. The artichoke was a great addition

Absolutely fantastic service, wonderful food, and exceptional value, a wonderful surprise from Nicola as well. The food was amazing and very efficient, friendly staff, a perfect meal for our first meal out after the wedding, can’t thank you enough. Just rather hot where seated in the window lol but overall an excellent experience

Food was excellent, but unfortunately some poor service let down the overall experience. One starter was forgotten; no check that all was okay (so we waited assuming it was due to arrive...), then when queried, no real apology from the waiter whose fault it clearly was. Having said that, the supervisor did make a point of apologising, and deducting from the bill. Probably just one trainee waiter at fault, but it did spoil our evening somewhat - there's little worse than sitting watching your group eat, then eating alone whilst they all watch !!!

Thank You for a lovely evening! Everything was excellent. From fresh bread to start with to unplanned desserts (special lemon creme brûlée will be remembered for a long time!). We really liked the atmosphere and how all staff members were smiling, making the restaurant even more inviting. Our server was fantastic, very attentive and professional. It was our first visit but we will definitely come back.

Really enjoyed catching up with friends for lunch today. We all enjoyed our food and not being rushed so will definitely be booking next time.

Since Cote opened I have been a regular patron. This restaurant is a paragon of good practice, sensible prices friendly excellent staff and a remarkable selection of quality food in tune with the seasons. My only wish would be for Cote to open a branch in Westbourne or Canford Cliffs. Other businesses in the Bournemouth/Poole area can learn a lesson, that pricing up their services only leads to closure. This applies to other trades in our area where it is thought that residents are plutocrats who have lost their senses of good value for money.

Another outstanding meal served beautifully. The strawberry pavlova was wonderful! Thank you to the duty manager on Saturday evening, he is always so attentive. Thank you to all the staff too, and the chefs!

Lovely food+good atmosphere. First time eating here and really enjoyed it. Only criticism would be that my husband would like beer on tap apart from that all good

This has to be my favourite branch of Côte, possibly because it’s my local. I always find the staff very friendly and helpful. We now have a regular table and like to take advantage of the special drinks offers most months. We’ll be so sorry to see the manager leaving but wish him well for his new venture in Spain. Last night we both chose the salmon with ratatouille, however, it was not a true ratatouille but delicious all the same. One point: we ordered a dish of gratin potatoes to share because when I’d had this some time ago it had been too much for one person. Last night we had to order another as the portion had been halved. My favourite deserts there are crème brûlée and creme caramel, however, last night I opted for the tasty peach crumble and my friend had coupe noir. It was very relaxing at the start but after we have been served our mains, it became busier with staff not noticing we were waiting to order a desert.

Perfect venue to celebrate any special occasion, will be returning.

A very pleasant evening, courteous staff, lovely choice of food...excellently cooked and exceptional value. It is our favourite place to dine in Bournemouth.

Good food, but service could have been better as it was slow to begin with and we had to ask 3 times for water.

As usual the food is great quality. The staff very attentative and well mannered always. They work very hard to make our eating an experience. The food stays with the French cuisine. Good portions. Will always go to the Cote in Chiswick, Hampstead, Oxford, and Bournemouth.

The service was good & the food tasty but my gin and tonic should have been served in a proper gin and tonic glass and not a cool drink thick tumbler

We have eaten in many branches of Cote and enjoyed everyone, this visit to your Bount south branch did not disappoint, the food, service, atmosphere are always exactly what we look for in a family meal out

Our food was very lovely and the service was good as well. The restaurant was in a good location and it was not too noisy.

I love eating at Cote but the lobster was disappointing.

We arrived 15 mins early but were seated straight away. Service excellent and food also. Would go again when next in the area

Lovely food as always at Côte. Came for dinner pre theatre and we weren’t disappointed.

Lovely brunch for my mum's birthday but it was a shame we were seated upstairs in the back corner when we asked to be by a window. The waitress told us the window tables were reserved, but we were there for over an hour and all the upstairs window tables were empty during that time. Apart from that, nice service and food.

We visited for brunch. Atmosphere & service were 5 star, cooked breakfast was ok but just under whelming, poached eggs were a overdone and it would have benefitted from some baked beans 😉 but it’s a minor point and overall we had a great meal and it’s still my favourite place for brunch in Bournemouth

Not our favourite place to eat, over priced, for a small amount of food

The service was spectacular by our waiter but the manager and food runners could have behaved slightly more alive, seemed rather dull and quite frankly bored.

Lovely food, efficient and friendly service. Altogether a very good evening.

Booked this last minute and was quite late so was grateful to the restaurant for fitting us in. However my meal was stone cold and I had to send it back. By the time it came out the rest of my party had finished. No offer of taking it off the bill or a complimentary drink. Service is automatically included so no option to not leave a tip. Cote is always so reliable but this was a disappointment.

Nice staff and very efficient, Lovely meal, the creme caramel was delicious, could have eaten two.

I love going to cotes, food always excellent staff & service excellent what more can I say.

My Wife and I have eaten here on numerous occasions and always be happy with the results. This restaurant is by no means inexpensive and as such one would expect excellent food service etc at all times. Unfortunately our last visit was marred by not being told at ordering that the special (most expensive) meal had in fact run out and I was only informed halfway through my entrée. This meant reordering a different dish which was served reasonably quickly but obviously not what I really wanted. My annoyance is that although an apology was offered the restaurant made no effort at all to mitigate their failure. It will be a while before we return. The following ratings indicate my disappointment

It was a lovely restaurant, fabulous food, it was even more impressive was that they took note of the fact I needed to have Gluten free options for my Coeliac disease condition (which I did not realise were available), and the choices were amazing. The staff were exceptionally lovely, the waitress who served us that evening was really nice and helpful, but I have found staff in Cote restaurants very nice & polite. We only tend to go to Cote restaurants occasionally where we live normally but I think we will be going a little more often now!
