Côte Bournemouth

The evening visit was for Valentine’s Day with my wife. It was nice to be given the option to choose to order from the main a la carte menu or the St Valentines menu. The gluten free menu has a good variety to choose from. When the food arrived from the kitchen the gluten free dish was identified with a flag pin which filled me with confidence that care was taken for my allergy. The food served was of a high standard and quality. The service from staff was great and they made us feel so welcomed. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Most of the meals were great just the calamari was dry and tough.

What a wonderful evening from start to finish - easy booking process, nice welcome, attentive staff and fabulous food and drinks.

Lovely atmosphere, the dimmer lighting was perfect for the valentines vibe. However was expected a valentines decoration or two.

The starters all looked wonderful and we were very happy with our choice. Same with the sharing dessert assortment, everything was lovely and we enjoyed trying all the different things. Our waiter was very sweet and kept bringing more water without us having to ask. However we had to wait more than 45 mins between starter and main course, we had to ask the waiter where it was and when the manager came with our food eventually she didn’t say anything about the wait, apologise or acknowledge it at all. My boyfriends main course was cold, and when we said this to the manager she just said oh and didn’t say anything again. This felt like she didn’t care that we waited 45 mins and then the food was just ok not great, she didn’t care about how our experience was. For this reason we are unlikely to come back again. The last time we came we waited about 20 mins for our starter plates to be cleared after we finished eating.

Great Breakfast, Staff and Service and above all great company again with my brother and his wife and my wife and daughter now everyone is happy.

Wonderful experience having the Valentines menu, stunning food with an excellent service. Warm goats cheese salad with the biggest and tastiest lamb chops with a subtle blue cheese butter!! Then sweet sharer first pud.!! My good lady had a duck liver pate to die for and a mushroom ravioli that was very al dente, but very tasty and the pairing wine were perfect. Thank you Cotè for making our night!!

As usual we had a good meal and good service. However, for the second time we had to argue for our “free” cocktail. We always book through the website and then order from the a a carte menu, which entitles us to the cocktail of the month. For the second time we have been told that they have no record of this. They have on both occasions grudgingly given us our cocktails but to have to ask for something which was promoted is embarrassing and taints the event somewhat. Can you please sort this out?

Casual as cafe rouge, with worse service I booked a table from their website requesting a private quiet table. Although it was nearly empty on the sunday evening, we were offered a table by the window near the entrance and bar. Despite pouring us the wine, they just left the £4.50 1 liter bottle of water closed, unpoured. But they were kind enough to further clutter the table with an extra tap water bottle!! The food was tasty, but i sent back my swordfish for more cooking as it came out medium rare and chewy. Despite asking the server whether it was intended to be served that way, i got no response back. Felt ignored a second time. Despite it was still over an hour before closing time, one of the team sat casually having his dinner at the table next to us, another did the stock taking and the last waiter at the till counting his numbers. So for ten minutes no one could see we were wanting the bill. The prices were surprisingly reasonable but wouldn't dream of returning to this branch.. perhaps may do so in another location with a different team. Be prepared that a 12.5% service charge is automatically added to your bill, written as 'optional'... to complete their terrible attention to detail.

Closed upstairs so unable to enjoy view of Bournemouth Gardens!

I was recommended to this restaurant and it certainly lived up to its reputation. I had booked a table for 5:45, but arrived at 5 and they found us a table without any problem. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. And the staff were attentive and quick to accommodate our special requests.

Great as always. Blood orange martinis excellent and should be kept available at all times!

Service friendly but not the best. Had Breton fish stew , but had to ask for finger bowl and dish for the shells.

Staff very attentive and helpful. Unfortunately I became ill and couldn't have asked for better treatment. I would like to thank all staff personally for their attention and help. Food excellent and our whole party commented on one of our best meals ever.

The team was polite and friendly as usual. Yet the food for the second time in a row was not at its best. The avocado was hard and the poached eggs were solid (boiled). I did not mention much of this because I do not like to complain or make others feel upset because a customer complained. But I believe you should review how the brunch is served.

Went to have the 9.95 meal. Manager was a bit argumentative and it was embarrassing being with friends fortunately they had the offer printed out. Food was great service fine.
