Côte Bournemouth

Sea bass was good quality fillets, lamb rump was cooked perfectly but I didn't need 12 halves of potatoes. The waiter was efficient, pleasant and familiar with the menu.

Usual good standard we have come to expect from previous visits.

We called to say we were running late, no problem. Food was delicious and the staff were really professional and friendly.

This is my second visit to Cote and a little disappointing this time. The service was excellent, but my husband ordered a steak medium, which was over cooked. I ordered a chicken salad with honey & mustard dressing, I had to ask for the dressing. I ordered caramelised onion bread which the waitress sent back as it was burnt. She then asked me if I was prepared to wait the 7 or 8 minutes to cook another one, or would I like some plain sourdough bread? We were pre-theatre so I opted for the plain. I wasn’t charged for the bread. I’ll go back another day and hopefully have a better experience.

What’s not to like? Service impeccable - Dana was a credit to Cote in Bournemouth. Attentive, friendly, efficient - and a lovely personality. This restaurant is perfect for a lunch time meet up with friends and an evening rendezvous - perfect every time we visit. Thank you!

excellent food . surprised it took so long for the food to come - but not a problem

Our late afternoon reservation for dinner was made easily. Our party chose a mixture of dishes. Some were from the table d'hote menu others from the a la carte menu. We enjoyed the starters and main courses. However the strawberry pavlova, which we all chose, was disappointing. It was one on the July "Specials" menu, and since strawberries are in season we assumed the strawberries would be fresh. Sadly the strawberries had been frozen and the jus at the base of the glass was raspberry rather than strawberry. I have to say it is unusual for cote to disappoint like this.

Issues with the food quality on this occasion not up to standard. I was in your Manchester outlet last month and posted you an excellent revue. The best part of the evening were the staff no problems very pleasant Starter MELON and HAM both products very poor Main COURSE FISH Very small portion 2 prawns and very little salmon Cheese looked as though it had been around a long time. Will have to be convinced to pay a visit to BOURNEMOUTH in the near future

Lovely evening spent at Cote. Great atmosphere and very pleasant staff. The food was as you would expect, of a French theme, prepared and presented to a high standard.

Great for the aperitifs at the beginning. Ordered the risotto. Not the best. I wasn’t able to eat mine but my dinner guest was happy. Probably different tastes. Never got a check back during the meal which of happened could’ve rectified the problem. Wet gracious of the manageress to deduct it from the bill but quite surprised the service was still included. Not the best experience I’ve had with you guys.

It was OK but didn’t feel valued as a customer. The waiter forgot to bring my tomato juice and really didn’t seem to be ‘in tune’. When we arrived, I asked if it was possible to have a round table for two people. The waitress was most uncooperative and although the restaurant was half empty, upstairs and downstairs and it was 5.45pm, she made no effort to accommodate our wishes and her manner was offhand. The goats cheese salad was served in a deep bowl which made it very difficult to eat. The pieces of vegetables and salad were very large which meant they had to be cut up! Also, there was far too much lettuce and not enough vegetables! Not good value for money! The only thing that was enjoyable was the coffee!

We enjoyed a memorable Lunch experience at Cote, (30 June) Bournemouth today, food and service being excellent. Staff were discreetly attentive. This was our first visit to Cote, Bournemouth. Previously we'd eaten at Cote, Eton and loved it. (my son lives in Windsor and dines at Cote frequently) I was delighted to locate Cote, Bournemouth whilst reviewing our Eton visit. I simply LOVE Cote. We'll visit more often. Thank you to all the staff who made our visit so enjoyable. The whole place was busy and 'buzzing'. Other diners appeared so happy.

Good service and food well presented. Efficient service. Bright, airy and cheerful interior. We will return.

thank you for your feed back email I am a massive fan of Cote I have eaten in Bath, Exeter ,Brighton and about 10 times in Bournemouth even having my company Christmas Party there. The staff are always good but do seem under pressure at peak times meaning there can be a 15 minute delay clearing finished courses or taking drink orders I also noticed that the Calamari has changed to a smaller portion and a lesser quality I know trading in the dining market is very tough but you have a great product please don't cut corners on the quality of food or service it would be a shame. My booking was for 6 persons which included my French wife and her parents and they appreciate the genuine French food that you serve as truly authentic please don't compromise.

Booked for 6 o’clock but was refused early dinner menu which we had chosen as a pre- theatre meal.The waiter was sent back to tell us the manager had said no to our request. We chose from the main menu and waited an hour in total since entering the restaurant and hadn’t any starters . Poor management reflected on the service When I spoke about our experience at the end of the meal she was indifferent to our concerns. That was it . Nothing more to be said. I told her I would leave a review - so here it is. We eat regularly in Côte but think they are going downhill in a competitive market . Not sure whether I will be back to the Bournemouth one. Pity!

To much salt in the food duck was poorly presented in runny mix of duck blood and gratin sauce. Duck was tough although they did replace for another one which was much improved.

Had a lovely evening at Cote Brasserie last night. The food was awesome particularly the chateaubriand. Service was excellent and time between courses just right. I would recommend joining the newsletter as you get complimentary treats. Last night we had a free cocktail each on arrival which was a nice touch.

I have already completed a similar questionnaire directly to Cote. It was my first visit to Bournemouth Cote although it is the nearest one to where I live. It is a spanking new branch and quite delightful inside. Because of many theatre visits all over the place I always look for a Cote in whichever town I find myself. This branch is totally up to their usual standard - good food, pleasant welcoming staff and a variety of price levels. I wish them every success in the future. Mary Goodman

This was my first time eating at the Bournemouth Cote although it is the nearest to where I live. It is a spanking new venue and is extremely smart. Food, as ever, was up to the usual standard and I hope this fairly new branch is very successful with its trade. I go to the theatre quite regularly all over the place and the first thing I look for is whether there is a Cote Brasserie in that town. Consequently I eat at Cotes on quite a regular basis.
