The service was good and so was the food. I had chicken & walnut salad which was excellent, but it was servced in a very deep bowl, which the chicken sitting on top, making it difficult to eat it without eating all the chicken first. I thought they had forgotten the walnuts, but as I was getting to the bottom of the bowl, there they were. It was not possible to toss or stir the salad as the bowl was too deep and too narrow. A simple thing to fix!

A regular local restaurant for us. Consistent as always. Prawn gratinee and crab mayonaise always excellent. Seabass with fennel delicious. Complimentary bottle of wine very nice too! Surprisingly busy on a Monday evening but service up to scratch. Will be there again, of course.

As always we found the welcome and service highly satisfactory. Simarly the food was still delicious. On this occasion I had the warm beetroot salad as a starter and am still dreaming of it.

Had a lovely birthday meal with some girl-friends. Was waited on well, given the Kir-royals as part of the reward scheme and to top it all the waiter gave me my pudding free. Enjoyable.

The staff here are amazing, very accommodating and friendly, a quick and efficient service; i wish all restaurant staff were this pleasant, the company must have an excellent training programme as all of their restaurants have good staff. The food is of the consistently high standard and they have a separate gluten free menu which they take very seriously and which helps make my choices easy

I really like this venue and the food and wine are always worth going for. Always slightly challenging to access any offers but this Cote is highly recommended. Sit in the window and watch the world go by.

An enjoyable meal. The restaurant overlooks the heath and we were fortunate enough to have a window table. The food was tasty and the staff professional. The ambience was good. I would certainly visit the restaurant again.

Very nice and good food in a good location. Enjoyed our evening out. Cote does a nice job of French food at decent prices and this branch is a nice example.

Bad customer service. Did not bring water to the table until I asked. Chicken was dry and was given a very small portion of potatoes. 12% tip is too high for the UK.

We took the early evening set menu. The food was delicious, well presented and the service was prompt and friendly. The only drawback was the fact that the restaurant became very noisy after 7.30 even though we were sitting near a window

Amazing service, lovely setting. Our starters were delicious and the minute steak was cooked perfectly. We had a free starter and kir royale as I used the cote rewards. Really worth joining up via the cote website.

Good, busy (but not overly) busy restaurant. Waiters a little inattentive. Food (breakfast) on the cold side when it arrived (but not to the extent it had to go back). Perfectly acceptable for the money.

The waitress was very rude and kept arguing with other members of staff. It was quite disorganised which is surprising for Cote. The food was lovely but we felt we had to eat quickly as she seemed to want us out of the restaurant.

Competent, elegant brisk French food served with a modicum of panache and theatre. Flavours are better than the average cafe rouge type place. £30 a head if you share a dessert.

Atmosphere is friendly, service is prompt and efficient. I came with a group of friends for a leisurely lunch so it was pleasing to find that no one hurried us along. The food was well up to bistro standard. (We like the fish cakes and one of us had a chicken dish she had eaten in another branch of Cote the previous day). Personally, I would suggest using less salt in the kitchen. Best wishes.
