We had a very good meal in pleasant surroundings. The staff were very attentive and we were not under pressure to leave at any time. It was an enjoyable evening.
My favourtite place to go for breakfast. It's always so busy but remains top quality and with plenty of staff. I hope to go back again very soon!
We went with the Christmas menu, great value for money. Food was excellent! The warm atmosphere and friendly staff made our visit all the more worth while. We will definitely be returning again. :)
Food was fab and atmosphere was great. I was celebrating a birthday and I could not ask for more the staff was very attentive and accommodating.
lovely dinner with very good steak and all the courses delicious - my cheeseboard great. Friendly staff and food came promptly. a happy evening well done!
We eat regularly at cote and have been to the Blackheath restaurant on many occasions last night we took friends who had not been b4 . Their meal and my wife's were to your usual standard however unfortunately my started and main course were below your normal high standards . I ordered onion soup for a starter it arrived warm not hot but worse was the very large piece of crust on top with a bit of cheese the crust was uneatable. When the excellent waitress collected the plates I just mentioned but did not make a fuss since all the other starters were acceptable . I ordered a medium rare rib eye steak when it came passed to me by one of my friends they noticed and said the plate was cold which it was as was the steak. This time the waitress took away the steak and returned with it 2 minutes later it was the same steak which clearly had just been put in the microwave . This really is not acceptable however as all the other meals were good I accepted . We were disappointed that our evening had been spoilt by this in particular for me (and my wife ) who had recommended we go to you .
what can i say. the resturant is the best. good to die for. always fresh produce. will be returning very soon. i love this place
We were a party of 7 & all thought the food & service were excellent. Not sure whether it is a great idea for the stairs used to go down to the toilet are the same as stairs that are used to carry up the guests food on trays !!!!!
We enjoyed our dining experience at Cote very much on Saturday evening. Service was very attentive and helpful. good choice on the menu and food was excellent when it came. Reasonably priced. The ambience in the restaurant was just right. Would definitely visit again when we get the opportunity. Regards Ian.
Unfortunately service was exceptionally slow - at one point we had to get up to find a member of the staff to clear our mains and take dessert orders. Also had to send back one of the mains as it was undercooked. A real shame as had heard good things about Cote.
We love Cote at Blackheath and always enjoy our time there. This time unfortunately the main meal was very luke warm when served - we were asked how the food was when it first arrived and it was ok - by the time you were half way through it was bordering on cold. It was Sunday evening and all thought the food was good quality its temperature spoiled it. This is the first time since Blackheath Cote opened that there has ever been a cause to criticise - lets hope its a one off and they are not getting complacent.
The menu this December was very good. I enjoyed my first experience of steak tartare. The main course of duck was tepid but I didn’t want to complain. The meat was also tough.
Had an excellent lunch with very good staff and service. My wife particularly enjoys eating in cote as she is a coeliac and there is a good gluten free menu. She actually gets a choice rather than picking the only thing on the menu.
The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and we were made very welcome on arrival; the food was very good as was the service, a good night out.
The restaurant was fairly busy and it took a long time to order the food, Service between courses was slow. However, the food was good and the price was reasonable .
We love coming here. It's reliably good with seasonal menu surprises. The service is great and it looks wonderful with the subtle Christmas touches. Cosy and delicious, tart tatin wonderful.
Starter and main courses were wonderful. My desert was meh, my wife's was ok. Service very good and when I mentioned the subject standard desert they really wanted to make it up to me. A very good night out, could easily have been perfect.
As always food was good but service was disappointing. Confusion about what menu were on. Given the lunch special (12-5) menu when we arrived at 5.30. Waitress thought and tried to tell us we were on the Xmas dinner menu when we weren’t. Given the wrong chicken main as a result. Deserts were good however.
This restaurant as with other Cotes visited is usually very good with both service and food of a very good standard, however, on this occassion we were quite disapointed with our lunch experience. This though will not prevent us from eating there again assuming that today was just a hiccup.
The main fish course was over cooked and the accompanying potatoes under cooked. The Tart Tatin dessert was delicious. The staff were very friendly but the service was a little slow.
Wrong lunch brought for my friend and risotto was not cooked through when did arrive. Could hardly hear each other for the noise around us.
Excellent food, good wine at a reasonable price, fairly good service. Blackheath Cote is situated in a lovely part of Blackheath. Eat at Cote fairly regularly both in Central London and Blackheath.

Good food, service was ok we had a nice waiter but as soon as large group came behind us the restaurant got noisy and focus was more on them. Would go back again though.
Really good waiter service and lovely food. Lots of Xmas parties going on so a great atmostohere. We would definitely book there again next xmas.
We had a wonderful meal, and the service was excellent. My partner really liked being able to order a gluten free meal, with no problems. A great little restaurant.
Seated at 1.15, very friendly waiter. Waited a while for drinks & main courses, one main arrived without the chips. Completely forgotten about for over an hour after mains. Had to find staff to order our dessert. No staff & no interest in us it seemed.Waiter on his own and working flat out but not what I expected from Cote Very disappointed as I had suggested it to my friends. Have been to several Cote Brasseries but not Blackheath before.
We had been the previous week and had the special of the Cote de Bouef, choosing to have one each rather than share - the meat was delicious and perfectly cooked. It was so good that we went again to have the same meal - a Cote de Bouef each - unfortunately it was not as good as the previous visit as the meat was not cooked as well as the previously
A really lovely evening and great food. Attentive staff and a very good atmosphere. Good choice on menus and goid value. Would definitely go again.

Always love going to Cote. Both the atmosphere and value for money menu. The choices on the set November deal are delicious. A lovely dinner experience.
This was another great meal. Always high quality service. This was a birthday celebration worth having here. Never lets you down. Loved the potato gratin. Will go again
Great food, slow service and mistakes made with the order but it was at a busy time of day... it was a Sunday morning brunch
Booked at short notice, very busy when we arrived. Received well, served on time, waited on carefully, food good, not too expensive, what’s not to like!
Outstanding service and excellent food, would highly recommend. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, the waiters, waitresses and the manager are very polite, food is delicious.
Table service good via our very pleasant and friendly waiter. But food was not as good as we expect from Cote where we dine fairly regularly. We were mistakenly over-charged, and when I pointed it out to the person who seemed to be managing, she did make an adjustment to our bill, but there was no apology, not even a friendly word or smile. This is not what we have come to expect from the various Cote restaurants we visit.
Pretty poor service. Waited for an age to be served and then the waitress spilt our drinks. Food was good but I wouldn't go there again - This is the 3rd time this has happened.
Good food but slow service on Sunday lunch time. Not enough staff. They studiously ignored us for 20 minutes before even bring water and taking drink order Usually better and good value
We had a lovely lunch, the cassoulet was superb and the cod excellent. The service is friendly, but discrete. Will be going again sometime soon.
Great lunch and nice staff. Relaxed atmosphere but the staff are good
Always enjoy coming here for the great food and cozy atmosphere
I very much like this chain of restaurants and eat there quite often. This is the first time that i have had a main course which I sent back. It was hake and mashed potatoes and was bland and tasteless. I wasn't charged for it to be fair. The first and dessert course were good.
Excellent service, lovely atmosphere. The night made my friends birthday a special night. We were given a lovely table with a great view. The waiting staff were very good.
What did I expect Sunday lunchtime Blackheath Village! Also our table was on the main thoroughfare into the main body of the restaurant- not a great experience compared to my local Cote in Canterbury.
Great atmosphere, great food, very attentive and friendly staff. We had the Christmas lunch menu 3 courses for £22.95 excellent selection, great value for money and well presented.
Great food, our 1st server was fine, she then disappeared and no one attend to us. She did not tell us she was leaving and no-one else introduced themselves to us. Another server was neither here or here with us which was totally useless! We waited 45 mins just for the bill and another 15 mins just to get the card machine. I mean we could have easily walked out without paying as no one cares to attend to us. It's the 1st time this has happened as I've been here before with 10 out of 10 service. I don't think I will be back any time soon due to the poor service we have received. The worst thing to top it all off it wasn't even busy!
The service was shockingly slow, unlike the next door table, who had excellent service from a different member of staff. The manager didn’t seem bothered about the bad service either. Shame, the food isn’t bad.
Today’s lunch fell far below what we have come to expect as regulars at the Blackheath Côte, and it turns out that this is because they have brought in a new maangement team, which is a great shame, as they are not a patch on the former team. Brusque, obnoxious, unfriendly and unable to get orders and bills right. We won’t be back for a while until another management change takes place, which will hopefully bring in a senior team that know how to smile and deliver decent customer service.
The service and ambience was fantastic. We shared the specials dish cote de boeuf which was amazing. We will continue to visit this restaurant as it never disappoints.
Had a great time at cote Blackheath food and service excellent price very good busy lunch time but wasn't rushed will be back very soon
Very good and quick service, Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere , also very affordable . This is my favourite restaurant in the village , I would highly recommend it .
We have been regular customers to Cote. Today's experience was the most unpleasant. Food did not turn up as ordered and toast bread only came with butter and it took ages for requested jam to arrive. The worst of all is we ordered 3 coffes and were told after a long wait that the cafe ran out of the cafetiere and we have to share 2 for 3 cafetiere and offered to add another round of coffee for us.
