Côte Blackheath

A great start to a Sunday morning. My husband and I had the full English. A very tasty sausage with ample bacon. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. We sat by the window so had a lovely view of Blackheath common. The coffee was very good as was the sour dough toast. Plenty of different jams to choose from.

Nice meal but even though the steaks were all ordered medium rare they came in a wide variety of states, from very bloody to well done. The service was quite slow and we were made to think we had to pay the 12.5% tip even though it’s optional. We love coming here for brunch but we were a little disappointed with this meal.

We had an excellent meal at Cote and great service. They have excellent specials on the menu and we look forward to making a return visit.

Eating at CB is always a pleasurable experience with attentive staff and lovely fresh food in large quantities. Can especially recommend the seasonal asparagus and hollandaise sauce which was delicious. The free bottle of Sauvignon Blanc was excellent quality and we had a lovely evening.

Great Gluten Free menu, nice service and lovely views of the heath.

Brilliant - meal was delicious - service very good and the atmosphere was great - - everyone enjoying themselves = not too loud but had a good buzz about the place especially for a Sunday evening.

Food was ok. I have been to much better branches of Côte if I’m totally honest. The table wasn’t set up for breakfast therefore we did have to continuously ask for sugar sauces breakfast menus etc food came out very fast which was excellent. However just not as good as say the exeter or bristol. Many thanks

We regularly eat at te Blackheath Cote Brasserie and find the service and food excellent. The atmosphere is very good but can sometimes become very loud when people get further into ytheir meal and drinks.

Lovely food especially the Asparagus with Hollandaise sauce.Staff friendly and efficient as usual.we love going to Côte especially the Blackheath branch on a sunny day it is well placed with a view of the common.

We were celebrating a family birthday ... just a simple brunch but it is our preferred place to go. Good food and good service. And the location is perfect for us. We like the fact that you can order brunch till 13.00!!

Food always amazing and service always on par. Food is always to perfection and it isn't the management cannot do enough to rectify. French staff makes experience even more authentic

Am a regular at Cote throughout London. The food was ok, but not as well cooked as usual! The service and environment was the usual high standard.

Professional service and friendly to our small kids. Food was decent, and the best dishes were really tasty. Set menu offers really great value. Nice views

We enjoyed our meal at Cote Blackheath last night very much. The setting is great with space in between tables just right and good décor. the staff and food very good. Just 1 comment re the lighting--- when the lighting was dimmed , I had a slight problem reading the bill even though our table was under a lamp !. Did not detract from our enjoyment though and I think we were the last to leave!!

Polite staff and delicious food. Lovely environment with great views and not too busy with tables - great space arrangement. Food came in timely manner and overall service was great.

Great food and service as usual. Little loud tonight which made it difficult to hear what your table has to say but I guess that’s down to not having much soft furnishings within the restaurant to absorb noise.

Great menu, friendly staff, good family restaurant only disappointment was that some of the food served was like warm which was a shame as the restaurant is great

My friend and I went for a meal for our 50th and 60th birthdays, and we were not disappointed. Beautiful food, great service and lovely setting, thank you

Really good with intolerances and service but the portion sizes should be looked at - I had a small piece of fish and salad (very small amount of food) and had to pay extra for potatoes - I find that really annoying in restaurants. This isn't value for money - I wouldn't go back based on this.

Everything was good except my companion was unhappy about the freshness of a piece of fish in his stew, we pointed this out without making a fuss and the restaurant did not charge for the item which was very fair of them.

Great food and evening but a bit of an issue with the free wine offer and being told it was no longer valid despite it saying until 31 May. Offer redeemed in the end but an unnecessary episode.

Food and service first rate. Steak was cooked perfectly and service prompt and staff very pleasant. I plan to book another lunchtime meal with my friend next week.

Well set out restaurant with pleasant temperature. Staff efficient and polite. Meal very good , well presented and reasonable price. Enjoyable experience and will return.

I find that Cote is generally a reliable chain. Nothing spectacular about it, but ias usual the food was good and the wine reasonably priced. Service was quick and friendly

Early dinner on a Sunday. Good service and delicious food. I had side of jersey royals, first this season, so good! Partner had chicken special and said it was one of the best in a long time.

A lovely may evening on the heath, and a suitably lovely evening in cote.service was excellent and friendly.steak was lovely. It helped we had a window seat on such a gorgeous evening. Not our first visit.nor our last!

So easy to book on line. On arrival the table was ready in spite of it being a Bank Holiday weekend. Although it specified that my order of Steak Frites the steak would be cooked 'pink' I requested that it was well done and it was. Great efficient service and attention to our needs. Only one problem that there was mathematical error on the change to the bill on behalf of the waiter. Diners should check very carefully. Otherwise I would thoroughly recommend this resturant to anyone.

you will get great service from the friendly staff. nothing is too much. cotes is my go to place for breakfast/brunch with friends. today i was there for over an hour with a friend and they did not hurry us out.

We had a wonderful family lunch at Cote in Blackheath. The food was excellent and the service superb. We had the prestige menu which was very good value for such wonderful food. And their creme caramel dessert is outstanding.

Food and service good but try to get in the front as the back section will be very noisy on a busy night. My table of 2 was 3 tables away from a table 6 adults and 3 young children. They allowed the kids to make a huge amount of noise, shouting, clapping, screaming all the time there were there while they drank plenty and totally ignored their offspring. I have kids myself so I know what it's like but I did teach my children how to behave in a restaurant.

Great service - our waitress was so friendly and efficient. Our table did feel as though it was in the middle of a walk way though, in front of where one of the tills was. I'll try and book earlier next time and book a window or corner table.

Food very good but our pre booked table wasn't ready at midday when we arrived and we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was very busy and chaotic. Not a good start to a special celebratory lunch. 12.5 % service automatically added to the bill (even though it is marked as discretionary) is totally unacceptable. Service was adequate but the restaurant was so busy they obviously didn't have enough staff to cope with the volume of diners. It is sadly no longer a place to go for a la carte dining. They are obviously more interested in catering for people who come in for the good value fixed price menu. Our bill for 4 came to just under £200 including the 12.5% service charge. There was minimal service! A shame as the food is always good at Cote.

It was a busy Sunday lunchtime, but service was quick and the food was good, especially the Spring Specials. A good way to celebrate my friend's birthday.

The food and service was great, I had the 1/2 Chicken with Garlic Butter i would have proffered the butter to be warm and Melted and over the chicken not cold on the side

Comfortable seating, good food, good value, efficient staff. Altogether good restaurant and will go again. Seated in quite part of restaurant and enjoyed whole experience.

arrived early, a table was found for us we did not need to wait, our waitress was excellent, attentive and very polite, the food was also very good, the desert course finished off a fantastic dining experience.

We have previously eaten here and enjoyed it but we did not have a very good experience this evening. We were initially kept waiting at the door for quite a while with various staff members walking past us, seemingly uninterested. We were eventually rather dismissively pointed in the direction of a table and given menus. Then we sat and waited for around ten to fifteen minutes. Again there were various staff members milling around who seemed not to be interested in even asking if we were ready to order drinks, including one waitress who was more concerned with laying the table next to us and moving chairs around. There was even time for one of our party to leave, go to ask in a nearby restaurant if they had any space for us and then come back. We eventually decided to leave and go somewhere else. All in all a pretty disappointing experience with the general impression given by many of the staff that they were not really bothered.

We regularly dine at Cote as the food is always fresh and tasty, it's reasonably priced and the staff are always warm and welcoming. We highly recommend the Blackheath restaurant - I'm sure we will be visiting again very soon!

EXCELLENT FOOD, GOOD SERVICE. STEAK WAS PERFECTLY COOKED AND GOOD QUALITY. THE MENU WAS EXTENSIVE AND NOTHIGN WE ORDERED WAS UNAVAILABLE. SERVICE MORE THAN ACCEPTABLE AND HAPPY TO PAY THE SUGGESTED SERVICE CHARGE. WOULD DEFINITLEY RETURN.

Food was great but noise in this branch was almost intolerable. A lot needs to be done to reduce the noise - maybe curtains, carpets or special noise-reducing material on the walls.

Great staff, great food, nice bright room. Perfect for breakfast. We were so impressed we planned to come back for our anniversary dinner but were thwarted by the lack of Vegan options on the main menu.

Cote remains untouchable in the mid-market. I've tried them all over the UK and they never disappoint. There's a reason why all the other mid-market chains are going bust: they're not Cote!

Good place for lunch although very noisy. The food was delicious and the staff attentive. Shame about the two young women breastfeeding their respective babies!

Very good. Service was definitely good; food excellent. Just table was physically a little small for four. Very enjoyable overall. Will certainly be visiting again.

Fabulous food with great friends. Recommend the crab starter. The fish stew and the chocolate fondant. Savignon Blanc wine is fab as is the Pinot red.

Reliable and well presented meals - service good and nice ambience. Have been here often and never disappointed. Lovely bottle of wine and at a good price.
