The service was great but the food was not nice.

Very friendly customer service, attentive and thoughtful. Food was also very nice and well presented. We didn’t wait at all even thought the restaurant was rather busy on Sunday afternoon. And last to mention it was also very clean and the lady at the entrance explained the rules around mace masks which is a great touch! Would definitely be back soon.

The staff were so lovely and welcoming. My mother-in-law was in her her wheelchair, they were so helpful and caring.

Exceptional on the first day of opening after the latest Lockdown. So good to be welcomed back by staff who make us feel valued; just as we value them. Even more stunning food than usual. Les Moules; perfectly lightly cooked, perfectly fresh and beautifully small. Salmon ditto; perfectly cooked in a perfect sauce. Chicken that was just right; cooked right through, but perfectly moist. We even managed a dessert. But above all, brilliant service. Thank you; we'll be back every week...

The staff at Blackheath are excellent. Always a warm welcome which goes a long way especially in times like these.. The food is also top quality. One of my favourite places in the village.

The food was as good as usual except the watercress, it had seen better days. I do mind the service charge it should be 10%.

On a very busy evening, where so many people went out for a final pre-lockdown dinner, we only got our table at 8:45 instead of 8:15. The hostess was very friendly and apologised, but we understood the situation. You could see everyone was working very hard. For the rest of the evening the service was superb. Very friendly, helpful and efficient waiters. The food was delicious, probably my best meal at Cote so far. We had sirloin steak. With only 15 before the restaurant had to close at 10pm the waiter managed to still get us our dessert. We spent less time there compared to previous dinners at Cote, but the waiters came across so relaxed, we didn’t feel rushed at all. Overall a lovely evening out and we cannot wait to go back. Let’s hope it’s before Christmas! Thank you very much!

Love Côte but did miss the plate of charcuterie from the starter menu! My boeuf bourguignon was a little disappointing, a rather small serving of mash, and what seemed a rather bitty bourguignon....it seemed like it was from the bottom of the pot with no nice big bits of beef in the sauce, just small scraps 🙁. Apart from that, my family and I had a lovely evening celebrating my wife’s birthday. Nice attentive service.

Excellent! I did not like the main course I ordered, without fuss it was changed to something perfect. Great service, lovely staff. Good selection of wines and deserts are probably the best you would experience anywhere. On a Friday during covid, this restaurant was full compared to others in blackhealth. Definitely book early!

Great food, we both had the ribeye steak and house red wine and finished with a creme caramel, all absolutely delicious. Really helpful and friendly staff which helped to create a very pleasant environment and really professional conduct on their part and others in respect of social distancing / hygiene given the present pandemic. Highly recommended.

Having chosen the venue I was embarrassed to find your choice of vegetarian or vegan options was minimal. The choice reflected a menu from 10 years ago not a menu I would expect to find in 2020. I would not chose Cote if I am with a vegetarian. Disappointing

straight forward no fuzz online booking service, well spaced out tables, attentive staff, fast service and lovely food, initially gutted they didn't have creme brulee on the desert menu anymore, but that gave me the opportunity to try the amazing coupe noir, all round a very enjoyable evening and a much needed treat during these crazy times....

The evening was excellent. The service is always really good at Cotes, as is the food. Last night was particularly amazing. We had a complimentary autumn fig cocktail on arrival. Then hor d’oeurvers and starters. I had the pork rilletes which was gorgeous. Then pork belly. It was moist with a lovely crisp crackling. Everything was amazing. We had 4 courses each, with 2 glasses of wine and 4 cocktails between us. With service this cost £94 for 2. That’s amazing value for such great quality food.

Very COVID secure. Friendly welcome. Good food. However, WAY too much attempt to oversell. Literally every interaction with waiting staff they were trying to get us to order more, whether food or drink. We counted and it happened eight times. Really took the edge of what was otherwise a pleasant evening.

We ordered the Reblochon burger and were disappointed when it arrived with very little Reblochon on it! The chips were nice.
