This is our favourite local restaurant that we use regularly when need cheering-up. The food is consistently good at a very reasonable price and the service is excellent, we are always greeted with a friendly welcome and nothing is a problem for them.

Very disappointing visit especially in comparison to my experience a few weeks prior. On arrival, we were met by a young waiter who simply turned to another colleague and said booking! We were then dealt with by them who seated us. It took about three attempts and to three different people to ask for tap water for the table and a while for our order to be taken. The waiter who seated us seemed to quickly disappear too, only to be seen before we left! The food was okay but overpriced for what it was and my friend had to request the dressing for his salad as it hadn’t come with it as expected/advertised. Our drinks were nice and the saving grace. There wasn’t much of an atmosphere, save for the screaming child on arrival. Based on this visit, we both said we were unlikely to return and considering major competition in the area would expect Cote to up its game.

They were missing some ingredients, which meant what we ordered wasn't exactly what we wanted, however it was still nice :)

We had a very enjoyable.evening last Sunday, (15/9/29). Excellent food, excellent wine.& excellent service. I would.particularly like mention Paulina (the Polish waitress)and Nicolas - they are a credit to you..I visited your restaurant again on Tuesday with 3 other friends, again very enjoyable.

Great time. Just right amount of time at each stage - decision making, between courses etc. Drinks not too expensive, drinking water provided and topped up quickly. Food beautifully presented and delicious. Two comments on starters - tuna carpaccio needed bread to mop up juices and wasn’t provided and steak tartare came without usual condiments eg Worcester sauce ( I didn’t bother asking for them as enjoyed without ) . Mains perfect. No desserts as no room for them

The food was great and staff are worth 5* but the noise in the restaurant puts us off, it is really difficult to talk when it is so noisy.

Good food but spoilt by fillets of fish still contains bones. Suggested the sardines should not have crunchy topping for fear of finding bones in a mouthful. However staff very helpful and listened to our concerns and accommodated this. It was very noisy initially at lunchtime but maybe that’s unusual. It did calm down!

Excellent wide choice in the breakfast menu. Everything delicious and served with a smile. Great place to spend an hour or so on a Sunday morning.

Four of us went to Cote for an early evening meal, we all thought our starters were fab in fact my son thinks your crab starter is far better than places that charge double what you do at Cote , my fish main was beautiful so tasty and fresh , the wines were good too, very nice enjoyable evening .

Usually good service here but today the waiter was not very attentive. The side of field mushrooms came out cold, so we sent it back. The eggs benedict was presented well but also stone cold. Nobody cleared our plates - so we just asked for the bill - which we got - then nobody came to take payment so we had to go up and pay. Not a pleasant experience for brunch.

I Booked that evening on line which was very easy. We were greeted and seated promptly and attended to by lovely polite, friendly staff. It was full but the level of service and speed of food was impressive and personal which made us feel very relaxed. The food was delicious and I had a lovely birthday evening. Thank you to the whole Cote team for a lovely evening. The Complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely treat for simply signing up for the newsletter when I booked the table. Made the night more special!

The service was slow and the breakfast was not up to standard. The Manager apologised and blamed a large unexpected party of 16. Not an excuse just a reason. It shouldn't have mattered. She unexpectedly cancelled the bill and again apologised.

as professional and friendly as always: I visit different branches of COTE throughout London - they are all well-run but some are a little austere - so the contrast with Blackheath is easily spotted. Thank you M<ichael Vining-Wilson

Well organised, clean and tidy with good service and excellent menu. Nice view of Blackheath. Service was excellent and meal was very reasonable at approx £25 per person for three courses. Coffee was great.

Took my mother for lunch and we had a very nice meal and we were well looked after. The food was excellent we had the salmon and creme caramel which is the best I've ever tasted and my mother who is 91 years old said so too!

Not as good as other cote French Toast, and the fruit salad didn’t seem fresh, it had a fizz

Quieter than usual, so less noise. Air conditioning at a perfect level. Service excellent as ever. We eat here regularly as a family and the food is consistently good. Lovely to see other families here not using screens to distract children...
