Côte Bishop's Stortford

We - our four - got a free bottle of wine as I had registered with Cote. We had a warm greeting with the staff full of smiles. The restaurant was very popular - as a typical Friday night - and a bit jovial and noisy. The food however was good so we all enjoyed the meal. I am personally not keen on having 10 per cent on the bill as I like to pay by credit card and then reward the staff with a cash gift depending on the service.

Food delicious, attentive service and lovely meal overall! We've been to Cote at least times now and has been consistently ofa high standards, well done!

We went for dinner, 6 of us in a Friday night. Very good service , our waiter was attentive and had a great personality. Food was tasty and well presented. Have been before and would def return. Darren p.s. The breakfasts are nice too

It was our First time eating at cote tonight had a really lovely evening, gorgeous food very polite waiting stuff and lovely atmosphere Will definitely go back.

We took an elderly friend for lunch and she said it was the best meal she'd had since coming to live in Bishop's Stortford a year ago! Staff were very attentive and pleasant even though the restaurant was full and they were very busy. Only negative was that it was a bit too noisy to chat easily but we couldn't fault the food in any way. Set meal menu was excellent value and portion sizes just right.

We have always had such consistence good service and excellent food at the Bishops Stortford Branch. The team are very welcoming and that's why we return numerous times, and will continue to do so.

Excellent service; friendly helpful service. Very good food. Not pestered by staff allowed to have a leisurely dinner, each visit as good as the last.

I arrived before the restuarant was open and instead of being told to wait outside until they open they invited me in to take a seat - i appreciated that.

As usual the food was excellent, but on this occasion the service was a little slow, which is not normally the case. Still one of my favourite places to eat.

The food was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The wine was excelent will order that Merlot on our next visit. The staff were pleasent and looked after us well, even managing to change my wife's meal to accomodate her dietry restrictions. A short waiting time but you expect that for freshly cooked food. Will back again soon!

Super food good quality brilliant staff, although the mandatory service charge on the bill 12.5% was hard to swallow,should be option add on when paying through the card machine like the majority of other restaurants where service is charged😒

Food very average indeed, fish was dry and over cooked. Poor food compared with previous Cote restaurants we've eaten in London and Cambridge. Waiter was very good but looks like Cote food quality is slipping

Always excellent. Only downside 12.5 % service added. Service is consistently good so I never take it off! Would like the choice though yes or no

Very pleasant meal for four of us. The food was well cooked and served in a timely manner. Staff courteous and helpful. Midpriced - lots of choice and a vegetarian menu.

Polite and friendly staff, the waitress asked us on many occasions if the food was to our liking. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is reasonably priced. There is a nice choice of dishes and I was satisfied with the vegetarian options. I have been eating in Cote Brasserie on few occasions before and will definitely go again.

Excellent early evening package of choices. Pleasant staff who could explain menu. Right combination of service timing : no rush, no delay. Excellent quality ingredients, well prepared, except one criticism : rillettes contained not enough meat, too much sauce. Good value for money house red wine.

We went on a Saturday evening from 7.30 till 9.30. We had a very nice meal with excellent service but the noise!!! Unfortunately it would stop us from going again at the weekend. As is so often the case these days there is no soft furnishing to absorb the noise and going early evening means there are young tired children crying. We still love the Cote experience and will definitely be going again but will choose the time more carefully.

We eat at a number of Cote restaurants and we've not had a poor experience yet! Clearly training is high on the agenda by the company, and it shows. The quantity and quality of the food is spot on for us, and the people we've been with. Our only gripe so far is the price of the wines. Maybe acceptable for an evening dinner menu but an option for a more 'drinkable' competitive offer would suit a lunch time visit. Overall, superb. ps. Watch out for the 12.5% service charge added to the bill, easy to miss and part with an additional tip!

We visited Côte Brasserie because we'd heard about the great gluten free menu. We were not disappointed. The GF selection was extensive. The Staff were very well-versed in all things gluten free and issues surrounding cross-contamination. Very attentive service. Very tasty food, nicely presented. Really good desserts. Great coffee.

Nice personnel,the food is amazing,fresh and tasty, desserts are fabulous.I can say it is one of my favorite restaurants.I will go back there soon!

Great atmosphere, mostly nice food. The duck breast and fish parmentier were well received. My other half was a bit disappointed in the beouf bourgignon, saying it was a bit dry. Excellent service, but don't like it being added onto the bill, prefer to be allowed to,choose how much to,give.

We had a great evening, great food, great service and well worth the money. However the evening was slightly disturbed by screaming toddlers throughout and up to about 9pm

Attentive friendly service. Excellent food. Highly recommend. Although the restaurant was busy, nothing was too much trouble and we got a super efficient waiter and really great tasting fresh tuna salads.

Its just such good food and the chefs are so accommodating which is definitely what sets Cote apart from all the other chains like Prezzo. They will do special requests if they can i.e. duck a la orange rather than cherry and garlic mushrooms; both not on the menu. The only thing I would say is that the waitress forgot some plates for the sharers and we didn't get them at all, however it was a really busy night.

Had a lovely lunch on Easter Sunday. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant as the menu is varied and good value.

Excellent meal with good wine choice and really good friendly service and rounded off with a really good Irish Coffee ! As always they maintain a good standard and fair price.

Excellent food at every Cote I have visited, Bishops Stortford is no exception. Good service, great steak and a nice atmosphere. Another one for the black book.

I had booked online (something I am not always keen to do), to celebrate my daughter reaching her Qualified Teacher Status. I had made a couple of requests, seating etc. I was delighted on arrival to find the team member who greeted us had clearly taken the time to make himself aware of our reason for visiting. He immediately identified my daughter, extended his congratulations and seated us in a booth (something I had requested). After a few minutes we were supplied with a complimentary drink to start our celebratory evening off. Our evening was made great with subtle, yet excellent service, very good food, wine and a lovely ambiance. On the whole, a lovely venue with friendly and professional staff.

Excellent meal and good service. The birthday complementary kir royale was a fabulous treat and encouraged me to book the table. Food very good value when choosing from the set menu.

A wonderful start to the day - a full English breakfast made with quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, with fresh orange juice, coffee and all served with a smile by our helpful waitress. Perfect!

Food was well presented and very good. Service was faultless and the serving staff were exceptional. This was my fourth visit to this restaurant and my companions and I have enjoyed every visit.
