Fantastic as always. We always love this particular restaurant as the food is delicious and the service is excellent. We look forward to our next visit.

Good tasty food in relaxed surroundings. The waiting staff were friendly and provided good service. Will definitely be back, we shall not leave it so long before returning.

Really excellent quality of food added to by our rewards bottle of wine. Unusual to get such quality from a chain, we both had the fish stew, fab.

I took my elderly mum. We got the table I requested in the window. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The meal was very nice although the veal escalopes were rather too large for us! I liked that the melon had been taken off the skin for the starter. A nice touch. Thank you

Don't go expecting gourmet food, but it is of a reasonable quality, service was good but became more rushed the busier the restaurant became, beer choices limited

This was the first time I had visited this restaurant. On entry we were greeted with a very warm welcome, the restaurant was clean and fairly busy. We ordered our food, the starter was of a very reasonable size and tasted great. We both ordered steaks and medium cooked. My steak arrived and it's was more on the blue to rare side, and it was a sirloin and not a Ribeye. However this was rectified fairly quick without fuss. My partners steak was on the rare side however she was happy to eat the steak. To some this may have been a big problem, however the problem was rectified straight away and with an apologetic manner. The steak was taken off the Bill which I wasn't expecting or looking for. We will definitely visit Cote again, we reallly enjoyed the restaurant, the venue, staff, cleanliness, atmosphere was of a very high standard.

We finally went back to this restaurant after two pretty poor experiences - so much better. Service and food quality were terrific and the whole experience memorable for the right reasons this time

We eat here on a regular basis and the quality and consistency of the food is outstanding. When you combine this with the very friendly and knowledgeable service by the staff, it makes Cote a go to place

Food was very good and the staff are always cheerful and welcoming. We also enjoy breakfast at Cotes. Prices are also reasonable for the tasty dishes served at the restaurant

We had a table of four, service and food was excellent, I had the anniversary menu great value with a glass of Champagne to start.

Requested a booth table and were seated at one without any problem. Food was excellent as always and the service was efficient without being hurried. Excellent evening.

Good service, good food. We do not agree with adding service charge onto the bill. Otherwise a very pleasant evening. Very buzzy place. Will go again.

Food and wine good. Service average, seemed to have to keep on asking for somebody to take our orders at different stages of the meal. Discretionary gratuity at 12.5% seems excessive.

Consistently good food. There is a good choice and the service is quick and pleasant. It is the first time I have been to the Bishops Stortford Cote but it won't be the last.

What you'd expect from a Cote restaurant - French-style food, cooked and presented well. Waiter was quick and polite. Deceptively big restaurant with dining al fresco at the rear. Prices on a par with similar venues. Worth a visit.

The service was very good and the food of a good standard well up to what we have come to expect from thr Cote restaurants we have patronised. Our overall experience was marred somewhat by the overly loud music which made conversation difficult. Nevertheless we shall come again.

We had a perfect breakfast at Cote on Sunday. Service was first class, the food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering and both our meals could not have been better

Lovely food and staff .We sent back a steak to be cooked a little more and it was no trouble and it came back perfect. Nice experience .

Excellent service and very good food well cooked.the only problem was noise. All the hard surfaces did nothing to reduce the noise level. I suggest an acoustic ceiling.

Good service, excellent food, we all enjoyed the evening . Everyone loved their choice of food they ordered. We could have had a better Table, ours was at the back exit to the garden area, but that was the only downside to the evening.

Although booked online the Kir Royale included as a reward we had to ask for and it was also added to the bill (taken off when we pointed this out). The main courses we ordered we were then told were not available, but we were dining late so it had run out. It would have been nice to have been told at the outset as I generally try to pick a balanced meal of starter and main. Staff were excellent though, very attentive. Food was also very good. Still my favourite restaurant!

Cote is never a bad experience! Can't get any better, lovely atmosphere, food and the courtyard out the back is French and beautiful. Will always go back

The meal and the service was excellent. |Our waitress was Hungarian and very friendly. I have no criticism whatsoever. The price was also extremely good value.

We were a group of 4 who visited on the evening of a Friday 23rd June. We had booked for 7 pm but arrived at 6.45pm and were therefore eligible for the early dinner menu. It was fantastic - 3 courses for £12.95 which was amazing value for such delicious, beautifully presented food. The choice at each course was excellent - which is unusual for the "cheapmenu" and the individual dishes imaginative and of regular size. We had a bottle of Viognier which was also delicious and well-priced. The staff were very friendly and p rofessional. All in all a great evening!

Great menu, the anniversary.menu spot on. Our waiter did not know much about its content though. We ordered bread and olives,he severed these without side plates and no olive oil or balsamic vinegar? The rest of the evening went very well as another waiter then served us. The fish dishes all superb, crepe excellent and espresso's v.good. We will be back.

Booked on line, arrived, was immediately seated at a nice window table, our complimentary Kir Royales were brought to the table without me having to remind anyone :) Food was superb, service was excellent, altogether a lovely experience.

Excellent and enjoyable meal; service discreet and very efficient as per previous visits to this venue. Highly recommended. What more can one say about this venue.
