Côte Bishop's Stortford

Cote restaurants always serve delicious food and the one in Bishops’s Stortford is particularly good. The restaurant is spacious, modern and attractive and the staff are welcoming and efficient. There is a varied choice of courses and it offers good value for money.

We always enjoy this restaurant however our choice on the Christmas menu was not good. Would have preferred now to have chosen duck breast from the main menu and not duck confit which was very salty!

Really lovely meal. Staff very attentive and welcoming and professional. Great Christmas feel to the evening and especially loved the crackers on the table. Have been before and will definitely be back in January. Thanks to all the staff for such a lovely evening.

Lovely Christmas Eve breakfast. Our guests were late. However, we were told we had the table for ages and to not worry. Made to feel welcome. Lovely breakfast and coffees. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was excellent and cooked to perfection.Full English and the French breakfast. Staff were very professional and friendly. Coffee was particularly good too. We were the only ones there at 8.30am but restaurant filled quite quickly after that. Lovely start to a day’s Christmas shopping!

Very pleasant evening, we all enjoyed it. Staff brilliant. Only small criticism is turn round of courses really quick! Not a bad thing, better than waiting for ages, but no sooner had one course finished, dishes whipped away and replaced. A little breather in betweenwould have been nice. Over all great, will definitely go back.

Loverly feel to the restaurant with friendly staff and amazing food. We had muscles and they were so tasty. Just wish u ordered twice. The bill was reasonable

The restaurant had a lovely ambience and felt comfortable and welcoming. The food came up quickly and was very tasty. The staff were attentive and cheerful, making us feel special throughout the whole evening and we were not pushed to hurry up and eat up. A great evening.

Despite the restaurant being fully booked for lunch today, we received the usual Bishop's Stortford Cote excellent quality food, and suitably attentive level of service.

First time eating here and have to say it was delicious. Great service too, very attentive, in slightly too attentive hence 1 mark off perfect.

It doesn't matter which Côte we go to the service and the quality of food is always first class, good value and well presented. The staff are excellent too.

Nice atmosphere. Well looked after by staff. Food was very good. I find Cote restaurants consistently good, tho' a touch expensive for their dinner menu. Their lunch/early evening set menu (till 7pm) is very good value.

we eat out regularly and without being a creep Cote is my favourite the staff are well trained and welcoming..it is clean smart and trendy I love the seats in the window and the food is delicious I am there again next week ..wendy

Food was good and waiting staff were helpful and friendly. They have decent gluten free options. I have Coeliac Disease - so I do have to make sure that I eat in places that can manage this properly. I have eaten here twice now and I’m confident that they get it right.

Excellent food, good value, and a friendly and welcoming staff. There's not much more you could ask for. This is by far the best restaurant in Bishop's Stortford.

Great service and good food. A very relaxing calm restaurant with friendly attentive service. Some of the food was excellent and some ok which is why I didn’t give top marks. It is excellent value though. Some decent wine at fair prices and wonderful creme caramel.

Cote Brasserie in Bishops Stortford is one of our favourite restaurants to visit. Always excellent, friendly service and the food is amazing, the set menu is great value. Excellent as always.

Excellent service, efficient, yet unobtrusive. Pleasant and helpful staff. The food is excellent. Comfortable environment. There was an issue with one of the courses, and the staff immediately replaced the meal with another of our choice, without quibbling. Would recommend highly.

Nice food, good service, good menu. Would recommend. I didn't really like being asked why my debit card isn't contactless though when paying though. It's none of their business. My card expires in January 2018 so it is nearly four years old, hence why it isn't. They add a 12.5% service charge to the total as well which pushes the bill up quite a lot, especially if there are more than 4 of you. Can be taken off, of course.

Served with the minimum of fuss, every request dealt with efficiently, even fussy me wanting a smaller knife 😀. Portion sizes just right for whole party.

My husband's sirloin steak was clearly not a sirloin steak. This proved to be a mangled mass of gristle and fat even with the aid of the serrated knife it was impossible to cut it into pieces. The staff agreed it was inedible and did not charge us but it ruined my birthday treat.

It is always an enjoyable evening with good food and wine. The early evening meals are good value for money and the menu varies monthly. The staff are very professional and friendly.
