The food and atmosphere were fantanstic and the staff were more than helpful. It was a lovely relaxed meal with lovely cocktails and wine would highly recommend

We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, the food, the service and eating in the garden. It was no problem to the staff when we asked if we could move from our inside table to one in the garden.

The staff were excellent and welcoming and the service was very good. The menu was varied and the food as delicious. Good vale for money with a range of menus.

I have been ill since 10pm last night with food poisoning, had to be the Muscles starter I ate as that is the only thing different I ate from my husband who is fine. So not a happy experience this time.

We regularly lunch at Cote Bishop’s Stortford and find the standard of food and service is consistently good. Our latest visit was no exception; thank you Cote.

Excellent food, with excellent service in very pleasant surroundings. Staff aware as soon as seated that using a Cote Rewards offer and the bottle of wine brought immediately.

Steak was not very tasty, sea bass was dry, banana frite was cold, frozen berries desert were hard not as expected , thought they would be a bit soft so could at least eat them! Service was good waitress friendly

Service was so slow, arrived at 1pm but did not receive starter until gone 2pm. By 2.30pm one of my friends had to leave for the school run. Shame as the food was delicious.

Had a lovely family breakfast with all tastes catered for. Staff very helpful, and patient with the children. Food very good as usual. Did not feel rushed at all. A very relaxing meal

We sat outside which was perfect . Seating comfortable and parasol provided shade . Waiters attentive and drinks topped up . Two price levels for set menus with a good choice on both

The front of house was very warm and had a lovely demeaner. Very clean and nice. Friendly staff and a fantastic atmosphere. Thank you very much.

We had a lovely Father's Day brunch. It was very busy in the restaurant when we arrived at 11am but the staff coped really well.

Lovely food, excellent service, could not fault in any way. Even though this is a chain you feel like you get personal service. The menu also has lots of choice. Thoroughly recommended

Service polite, attentive and friendly. The food was really poor. The bread and cheese topping on the onion soup was stale bread and impossible to cut or eat; inedible. The ribeye steak was tough and chewy; most of it inedible. The chicken dry, but at least edible. Keep the service staff. Improve the food sourcing and or cooks. Can’t bring myself to honour the creators of this dog’s breakfast as chefs.

Not enough staff to cope with the orders so we had to wait too long for our food. It took too long for our order to be taken and then too long a wait before we ate. The good was good.

Pleasant atmosphere. We had booked and were rewarded with a nice table in the window. Menu is comprehensive and good value. A little less garlic in the dauphinois potatoes please.

Everything perfect except excessive service charge. Would rather give to excellent staff than shareholders of the company. Cut this cost ,pay staff a living wage

The staff were extremely pleasant,and the meal and wine were really very good.Overall enjoyed our visit,if the weather had been better,it would have been nice to have sat outside

The staff were very helpful and friendly, however we did have to wait a little longer than expected. We did have good seating in the outside area

A warm welcome, but kept waiting longer than normal for our order to be taken. The staff were very busy due to staff shortage. But we enjoyed our meal non the less.

The food was brilliant as always and the service was also impeccable. Lovely atmosphere too. The waitress recommended a really good red wine for us to have with our duck and steak, the night was superb.

We requested a booth and this was waiting for us when we arrived. The restaurant was quite full and had a great atmosphere. We did occasionally have to flag down our waitress in order to get her attention but on the whole the food was great and the service professional. Will definitely return.

Visited here on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was busy and humming. The staff working exceptionally hard. The wait time for food was hardly anything which was incredible as it was so full. To be honest I was disappointed with my meal. I always have the Steak Tartar and it was not up to normal standard.

Cote never disappoints. Usual good consistany quality and excellent value. A good rewards scheme which we enjoy. Definately our favourite eating chain for those reasons.

Long been our favourite restaurant in Bishops Stortford, food is always superb and the staff are excellent. Nothing is too much for them and always with a smile.

Great service and the food is delicious! We have been to this particular cote several times now and it never disappoints. Perfect for the whole family or a romantic dinner for 2.

Very pleasant meal, good service which was most helpful. A busy restaurant with lots of food options, we dined @8.30 we were surprised how soon there were open tables available, unlike restaurants in Mallorca where we had come from earlier that evening.

Very attentive waiters albeit the bread we ordered with our starter was forgotten. The medium cooked entrecote steak was a bit dried out, but edible.

A very nice meal but quite expensive. The asparagus which came with the salmon, three spears was cut in half lengthwise to look like more. I also felt that the jersey royals should have had the skins removed.
