Our waitress was brilliant very friendly, she told us what was not available on the menu with sincere apologies. The meal was excellent, it could not be faulted. We had already called head office regarding vouchers which we had which had unfortunately fallen out of date, however your company has been really good and allowed us to still use them. We were even asked by another waiter if we were warm enough, lovely service.

A really lovely friendly atmosphere, with very good service given by the staff and especially Adam. Would highly recommend. Thank you very much for a lovely afternoon/ evening. We will definitely return.

A very pleasant lunch with pals, as always. Exceptional food, atmosphere and attentive staff. What more could you ask for?

I booked a group dinner for 27 people. The management staff helped with how I want to arrange the seating. They also helped with choice of food when I wanted to depart from the standard prestige menu. On the night the service was faultless and everyone commented on the high standard of food at a very reasonable price. I do not think, sorry I know, it will not long before I will be asked to arrange an evening at Cote in Bishops Stortford.

We were served very well, food was lovely and great lunch time offer.

No one came to check if our meal was ok after serving. My wife's meal wasn't up to standard and wasn't asked until we settled the bill. All we received was a sorry and a complete lack of interest from our waiter which based on previous experience of dining out simply wasn't enough.

Very busy night. We waited over 50 minutes for mains to be served fish was over done and dry around the edges the pork crackling was soft. Manageress refunded our wine which was a nice gesture. We use this Cotes often and this is the first time we have been disappointed.

When our food finally arrived it was delicious and beautifully cooked. I recognise it was Saturday evening but we waited over 90 minutes for the main course and as we were entertaining friends from out of town were so disappointed.

Great food and nice choice but best of all were the staff friendly and had great balance of being attentive and not rushing us we were there for about 3hrs and would definitely recommend this branch to other friends and family. Thanks for a great lunch .

It was a friend's birthday treat & the MD was most accomodating, allowing us to change my comp cocktails to 3 glasses of bubbly. Thank you!. Very polite service AND...i was really impressed with the fish parmentier. I had it before a few years ago & was disappointed that it was sloppy, with very little fish, but I thought I'd try it again. This time it was totally different I'm please to say with more fish than many restaurants serve. Please don't change it!

Staff were busy chatting to other tables. Had to get up to ask for sauces for our meal which didn’t turn up. Then had to ask again because they didn’t arrive

Starters arrived one minute after the olives. So, no time to relax with our aperatifs. My main course beef en croute was loaded with SUGAR, probably leaching out from the pastry. Yuck ! That makes two consecutive bad meals.

We were a party of 4 Had a long wait to be served 1 meal had no problems 1 the sides didn’t come until half way through the meal had to ask a few times 2 desserts hot chocolate was cold and ice cream melted But these were replaced I feel that this must have been a one off We usually eat in Cambridge cote which has been of a good standard

First of all although I had booked a table for 4 over a week ago however we were shown to a table just for 2 - an error in the system . We then requested a booth table but were told they were not available although we were aware there were spaces throughout the evening. The service although friendly was slow with the wrong starter being served and a bottle of wine ordered forgotten about as well as water for the table.

The restaurant continues to be our favourite family dine and much comment about service had been made over the past few months. The staff are rushed off their feet and last night there was 3 colleagues attending to a busy restaurant Concerns of slow service was immediately squashed after starters and drinks had been taken Needs another member of staff on peak times to help the guys who always strive to deliver great service

Service very poor. Waited 20mins for drinks. Had to remind them to get the water. One of our parties breakfast was forgotten. Gluten free bread came 10 mins after food. Scrambled egg was inedible. Won’t be coming back

We went to Cote to celebrate my birthday with my husband and two daughters and it was a disaster. All was fine with our starters, but when our main course arrived that was when the problems started. My daughter ordered the Fish Parmentier, she started eating it but then realised they had forgotten to put any mashed potatoes on it. It was replaced but still no potato, staff didn't come back to check everything was okay with our meals, the rest of us had finished our meals and my daughter had eaten nothing. Very poor customer service and poor quality food. Ruined my birthday meal out, so won't be going back there.

Food was great, loved the new kids enveloppe with activities, which was a great hit with our daughter. Lost one star for service, as it could have been a little quicker.

We dined on a Saturday 3-courses and al la carte at c.£50 a head. Portions noticeably smaller than 6 months ago. The already small tumbler of frites were short for all diners and an egg cup of mushroom sauce is hard to justify at nearly £3. One quite small scoop of ice on the brownie at £6+ is also a little mean. We did complain about one of the steaks being mostly gristle (unusual) but no response apart from a nod really. We can see the attraction of the price-to-portion ratio of the weekday set menu so will probably stick with that in future and of course not go too hungry.
