Fantastic service and fantastic food. One of our favourite places to eat in the area cannot fault it in any way. Always look forward to going back

Lovely food and drinks there. However, we went on a Sunday when there were only 3-4 other tables in the restaurant and the service was incredibly slow. It took from arriving 50 minutes to get mains (no starters ordered). One waitress seemed to be doing everything and the other "slyly" using her phone which was in the drawer under the till!

Very accommodating staff - and now that the sun is shining, lunch on the "terrace" is great (as long as you get a table with a sun shade).

Good welcome on arrival. Given a choice of table. Service was friendly, prompt, but not rushed. Food was very good. The ambience of the entire restaurant was very delightful. I can recommend it.

Excellent visit from start to finish , accommodating service and excellent food in an extremely comfortable environment ( air con not too high ! ) Very pleasant afternoon .

Father's Day breakfast today attentive happy staff made the whole event very relaxing and enjoyed by all generations .A separate children's menu would be useful .

We always love to visit this restaurant. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent every time, love it!

Cote is always top of our list when we go out. Lovely food (Especially the Breton stew). The service is always excellent and the staff really friendly.

Great food and service as usual. The rump of lamb was fantastic but I thought that far too many new potatoes were served with it.

Very friendly, helpful as usual. We weren't too hungry and we arrived in time to take advantage of the "before 7pm cheaper meal". We also had a voucher for a free cocktail and although we hadn't strictly followed the rules for ordering it, the head waiter kindly accepted it as we are fairly regular customers.

Very attentive staff who were very efficient at what they did. Food excellent, nice chilled atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. Although a little pricey would definitely recommend .

I had Sunday lunch with the family. The Food was tasty, the menu was varied to cater for every taste. service was attentive. Great experience overall and will return.

Great except forums up with steak but service to put right was excellent we visit Cotes regularly enjoy the good food there and most of the staff

We were made very welcome at the restaurant and served promptly, courteously and efficiently. The food was well presented, freshly cooked and very tasty. The breakfast formule menu gives a good variety of dishes to choose from and although I am not a vegetarian, it was the option I chose and very much enjoyed.

Service is very good. Choice of food is good . Was disappointed that for 2people a service charge of £6 was added to our bill. Yes this is optional I understand .But it sort of ruins the experience when you see it added on and we don't particular want to look tight and say we don't want to give it. But £6 is a lot extra to add to a bill.

We could not have had better treatment or food, we will be back soon. As it was our anniversary we found a nice bouquet of flowers at our table.

A varied and comprehensive menu with good food and excellent staff. This is our favourite local, chain restaurant. Have booked again for later this month with friends.

We have been here many times before and been very happy with everything. This time not so. Took 15 minutes to get a drink the garlic bread was very stodgy and there was barely any chicken in the herb roasted poussin very disappointed

Always have a great meal here. Staff are always pleasant, courteous and attentive. The set menus are great value but outside of these times, the a la carte menu is lovely.

Great service, lovely food - especially the. Hargrilled chicken with mushroom sauce - and an excellent house red, all enjoyed in the warm and sunny garden terrace.

Excellent choice of starts and puds but mains on set men less inspiring. And one day the steak might be rare as requested I hoe.

Very friendly staff. Food ok - salad with steak very sad and spinach side not hot enough. French fries are the best in Bishop's Stortford!

Delicious food, and good service at a reasonable price. Cote has an attractive decor and ambience. It is very popular with people of all ages.

As We expect, we come here on a regular basis and always good quality food with excellent staff service, nothings ever a problem. Always fill very welcome like a friend not just a paying customer. The reason I only give you a reasonable on price is through the week there is a set menu two courses £10.95 / three courses £12.95p. Doesn't seem right that regulars can't take advantage of this at weekends if the restaurant isn't fully booked. Isn't it better to have a restaurant with people eating and helping with the overall profit margins ?. I would like to know what your view is on this subject.

The food and service was really lovely. Can't fault anything. We were there for a birthday and the staff were so accompaniment, bringing out the birthday cake we brought with us and all singing. Price was reasonable considering 5 of us and alcohol included, and all food was delicious and beautifully cooked

Food & service is consistently excellent. That's why we go back time after time. It's great to see the same staff, to have that familaraity. That's a good omen when you see the same faces.

Food extremely well presented and cooked to a very high standard as usual. The cooked breakfast, hot drink and juice deal is great value for such good quality food. I've have dinner here many times, but this was my first brunch. I fear it may be a regular indulgence from now on...

We ordered entrecote steaks and waited 45 minutes for them to arrive, when they arrived they were cold & although the restaurant did offer to replace them we weren't prepared to wait a further 45 minutes so we had them as they were. Also i,ve never seen so much fat on an entrecote before it was very poor quality meat. The restaurant was clearly too busy for the staff to cope & although they were very polite and did indeed give us a complimentary dessert it was overall a poor experience

We always have a good experience in Côte, and last night was no exception. Just wanted a quick pre-theatre meal, served very attentively & great food.

Had a lovely lunch during the week. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. Very clean and upmarket restaurant with a friendly atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Good meal and good service but great confusion about the complimentary wine offer when you book online. Wine was not forthcoming as we had not complied with the details of the offer! These were not clear and led to disappointment and a little embarrassment in front of other diners.

good morning I reiterate my comments sent to you after my meal at your bishop's Stortford branch, my sea bass was particularly lovely and my starter ( cannot remember the name, could it have been camembert pisaladiere ?) was good but on my next visit I shall as for something else , as it was good but no recommendable , just good. the service was impeccable , polite and friendly . Great food and service as always. Wine was also reasonably priced and the house white very drinkable. Value for money continues to be very good

Food excellent as usual. Great service. The crab mayonnaise is superb and the veal was amazing. My wife had asparagus followed by salmon fishcakes which were both very good. Will be back soon.

Great way to have breakfast on a bank holiday Food and drinks were fine It was initially quiet but quite buzzy by the time we left Service was fine Just right None Fine

It would be 6 if not for a couple of problems but I can't say how well they handled each problem. The staff were excellent, especially our lovely waitress. I think the restaurant was exceptionally busy and maybe the kitchen was struggling a little. But it will not hinder our minds to return. It's really a fabulous restaurant.

To be honest the food was ok but nothing special and the service was very poor. I had to ask for the same drink 3 times before I got it!! I won't be going back.

Very efficient service. Well cooked and presented food. Complimentary wine was of good quality. Staff new we were coming and offered wine choice straight away.

Good service, and early evening menu good value. My chicken was slightly overcooked, which meant that it was not as moist as it should have been, but over all the quality of the food was good.

Always very consistent. Lovely staff, good food, excellent service. The best restaurant in Bishops Storford for sure! They also do a lovely good quality breakfast which we enjoy regularly as well as a good lunch. Never been for dinner but my friends tell me it is also very nice with a good atmosphere.

Only one disappointment as the tuna niçoise did not have any warm new potatoes. There were not any potatoes at all. Otherwise all great thank you.

We were a party of 8, & we choose the 2 course menu. The staff could not understand that 4 of us wanted a first course to arrive at the same time as the main course for the other guests. Consequently we didn't all eat our 2 courses at the same time resulting in long waits. Very unsatisfactory. The food was very good.
