Côte Bishop's Stortford

Unfortunately not up to usual standard we are used to in the Chelmsford restaurant. Portions a bit sparse and staff not as attentive. Been to the Chelmsford restaurant many times and always very good.

Disappointing level of service and quality compared to other branches, have tried several times, but no improvement. Will not be going to this Côte again.

Cote always delivers what you expect. Good food, good service and a sensible price. Regular offers to regular customers are always welcome and encourage repeat visits.

We all had a very enjoyable evening. Good menu choices and good food which was served promptly and efficiently. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Slight hiccup with the bill but otherwise a great night!

Not so good tonight just the 2 of us for a special celebration. and we were put next to an extremely noisy table celebrating a 40th birthday

Very attentive polite staff. We were 30 minutes late, and I did telephone to let them know, but they were really good and helpful about it.

Amazing food and great service! We ate from the set menu 2 courses for 11.50 before 7pm. All the food was so tasty and they couldn't do enough for you.

Service was really good, food very tasty. Few dishes did appear to have been under the heat lamp for a while.... I’ll be back again.

Great food and good service, full restaurant on a Friday lunchtime. Not too keen on having 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill and on the card machine!

Nice food and a free bottle of wine. I enjoyed the Sunday lunch. Took my mother, she enjoyed it too. Good staff made it for a pleasant time.

Excellent food, especially enjoyed the sea beam beautifully cooked. The staff were very attentive and friend received a token free dessert decoratated with happy Birthday and candles to celebrate her special day. Thank you will return.

Relaxed, nothing overly complex, fairly basic food done perfectly, do a delicious level, and friendly staff, I would definitely recommend, 3/4 th time returning g and wouldn’t hesitate returning again

Staff friendly and efficient. Restaurant neat and tidy - music not too loud. Good location in town -easy to find and park. Food very good - especially the duck!

I love Cote but honestly there was far too much chilli in the fish stew. Tone it down to not put people off! Otherwise as good as ever

Lovely restaurant; delicious food; friendly, and efficient staff. The decor is very welcoming and attractive and the choice of food is good and very reasonably priced. I have visited many times and have never been disappointed

We go quite regularly and we have never been disappointed, lovely authentic French food and staff, always smiling and eager to please strongly recommend a visit.

Just love the atmosphere and the staff. Brilliant value menus for little ones, healthy ones and hungry ones. Will be back on a regular basis.

Disappointed the January Sea Bream special which I was looking forward to was not available. The service was good although quite rushed. This was probably because the restaurant was not busy.

We had a lovely visit to Cote, Bishops Stortford. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a great table in the window and we were not too close to others. The food was excellent and there was no intrusive music. It was a really enjoyable experience.

Great straightforward food at a fair price and excellent efficient service. The restaurant ambience was good and tables well spaced out which is rare these days.

We usually visit Cote for the wonderful brunches but chose to visit on this occaision for dinner. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice. Service was fantastic. Enjoyed our visit!

We visited the Bishops Stortford Cote restaurant and can wholeheartedly say we received a very good service, the food was cooked and tasted great. The ambience was nice and welcoming. We will definitely be visiting another Cote restaurant in the near future.

The food was of a good standard, other than my risotto which was claggy( took of the bill) . The service was excellent. Our server was charming and the host was very professional kept a close eye on the room. Good value, left happy

Always enjoy eating at Cote restaurants and my meal yesterday in Bishops Stortford didn't disappoint. A few dishes on the menu were unavailable but plenty of other choices to choose from. Staff friendly and helpful.

Not very impressed. Very noisy birthday party which was excessively disruptive. We had to ask to be moved. A number if items no longer available on the menu.

Very busy when we arrived, but fortunately we had booked. The table was ready and we took a seat. Our waitress was very attentive and we enjoyed a really good meal at a fair price. All in all, a very pleasing and welcome experience.
