Côte Bishop's Stortford

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Great experience would highly recommend, we felt at home from the moment we walked in. Service was excellent from all staff who arrived just when you needed them. We will definitely be going back.

My husband, daughter and grandchildre had a very enjoyable meal in Bishop's Stortford today at a good price and with excellent service. We were celebrating my birthday and a later Mothers' Day.

Great food and service and a very reasonable lunch deal on offer too. We enjoyed celebrating my friends birthday with a free Kir Royale- thank you.

Without doubt the best of the chain restaurants in Bishop's Stortford, head and shoulders above the rest. We have eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal, they are consistently excellent. Looking forward to our next visit

Service excellent, efficient but not obtrusive. The fish stew is lovely. Great meal, one of our favourite chains. Wish they did the set menu on a Saturday night as that is great value.

We enjoyed a great meal , excellent calamari, superb steaks, great wine along with complimentary kir royal. Great atmosphere in restaurant helped by very attentive service

Lovely food but portions very small. I had the duck which was perfectly cooked but the portion of potato was tiny. Vegetables with it would have been good. Quite pricey for the size of meal.

Probably the best "chain" restaurant in Bishop's Stortford, makes others look poor in terms of ambience and quality of service. I hope they can retain their overseas staff who provide such a high level of service.

I’m constantly amazed how good Côte actually is. The ambiance, service & quality of food is second to none and all at a reasonable price. It still remains without doubt the best restaurant in Bishops Stortford.

Good meal lovely atmosphere. Only downside was the wait between starter and main course. 35 minutes was too long and they weren't busy. Might visit again but prefer Cambridge.

An early evening window seat, Smart service, Broad choice, fresh food, well prepared, Excellent wine, Atmosphere building. Best way I know to start a weekend.

Tough fillet steak and very fatty ribeye price of fillet taken off the bill but two bad meals out of two not good enough !

Good service in a comfortable atmosphere and excellent value for money lunch menu. A regular venue for meeting with friends as there is always plenty of choice.

Cote Bishops Stortford is always good value for money, and the staff are always very pleasant and friendly. Free bottle of wine offers are always a good incentive to book a table too!

Lovely warm ambiance and friendly staff. Food was gorgeous and tables are nicely spaced out. Good location in the middle of Bishops Stortford, easy to park.

Great food, good service, and there's a nice warm atmosphere to the restaurant. The only thing I don't appreciate is that a 12% tip was automatically added onto the bill, which is a bit cheeky.

Lovely food but service a little slow at times. I would recommend this restaurant but don’t be in a hurry. Reasonably priced & worth the money

Great evening. Food and service up to usual standard even on a busy Friday night. Highlight was the pannacotta but only just pipped the seafood parmentier.

Excellent food served by professional unobtrusive staff. Always a pleasure to eat there. Not the cheapest place to eat but in this world you get what you pay for.

Food was good as usual as was the service. Quite busy for a lunch time and quite noisy, but the staff seemed to cope very well and we were not left "hanging about", waiting for the courses to arrive. We were two tables away from our next door neighbours!

This is a good place for a meal prior to Pictures etc. The food is good and service OK. reasonable wine list. Tables a little too close together for me to recommend as a "date night" venue is you are wanting a romantic meal.

Good service, food so so. Crab mayonnaise too ameliorated little taste of crab. Roast sea bass over cooked so became bitter in part. Some what disappointing not to the usual standard of Cote

Good food, good service. All in all a good meal and a good night out. Booking was a breeze. Will happily go again soon, I know from experience that breakfast here is good too.

Great food, great service as always. We visit this restaurant every now and again and have not been disappointed yet. I guess the only criticism is on dessert, but the starters and mains more than make up for them. We will return again.

We had a free wine offer so good value. The advertised wine was not available so we were offered one of higher value, it was fine but necessarily better. We had steaks, my fillet was smallish but very good. My husband's ribeye was a bit tough with less flavour than usual. Overall we enjoyed it just not quite as good as usual.

Staff very attentive but not intrusive. Food very good - steak frites always good . Don’t normally have a pud but we all did and they were great. Informal evening with friends- excellent.

Lovely food. Great atmosphere. Pudding is normally amazing (berries in white choc sauce) but berries defrosted and white sauce not hot as it should have been. Still it was lovely to be there and the main and starters were top.
