Côte Bishop's Stortford

Atmosphere and service cannot be faulted. Made the mistake of ordering the Toulouse Sausage and Lentils; never seen a less appetising dish in my life! Consisted of a 'bucket full of lentils' with two sausages plonked on top. To be fair, I suppose Sausage and Mash would be a British equivalent, so personal taste has biased by opinion. Will return, but will stay clear of the lentils!!

Another lovely evening at Cote Bishops Stortford. Good food, always an interesting menu, excellent customer service and great atmosphere, would highly recommend, a “must” for a good night out

Good service, staff attentive but not overbearing. Nice choices on set menu - the toulouse sausages and put lentils really tasty. Something for everyone. Very good value.

We went to Cotes to celebrate my friends birthday, the food was lovely & the hospitality was great & as it was my friends birthday they gave us a complimentary drink. I would definitely recommend Cotes

Always receive excellent friendly service at Cote in Bishops Stortford. The food was excellent as usual on our visit Saturday lunchtime . We enjoyed complimentary Kir Royale as a birthday treat which was very welcomed. Will keep returning to Cote in Bishops Stortford.

Lovely evening very nice food. Would definitely recommend and will be returning. I had fish stew and my husband had lamb chops. Desserts very nice.

Typical chain restaurant albeit slightly above average. Food reflects the centrally purchased and marketed mentality of the genre - i.e. not best quality produce, very possibly frozen and reheated on premises. Very pleasant staff at the Bishop's Stortford branch.

Tasty well cooked late lunch to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Pace of service spot on too. Had a mixture of set menu dishes and a la carte. All were flavoured well, seasoned right and at tasted freshly prepared. Flexible on offering alternative side dish from standard for my mum. Overall V. Good and lovely wine too!

Excellent service. Steak a little tough and rare rather than ‘pink’, otherwise food good. Brioche pudding nice and not too sweet, chocolate fondant very good.

Breakfast at 9am on Good Friday. Obviously not busy, but good atmosphere anyway. First time we'd tried breakfast and found the food excellent and the staff welcoming.

Excellent food, surroundings and service. Very enjoyable dimmer. Wonderful rib-eye steak and trimmings and chargrilled chicken, made even better by a champagne cocktail on our arrival. We look forward to returning

Good food, decent service (on a very busy mother’s day), and good portion size too. The ambience is typical of Cote (French brasserie). The fillet steaks are expensive and a little small but very nice, all cooked to the right spec.

Excellent service and food as usual. I can recommend the Breton Fish Stew. Seabass, mussels, clams, prawns and squid with tomato, white wine and chilli. Tasty and warming.
