Excellent was great venue service and food! thank you very much.

It was a good night out with family. The waitress was welcoming, personable and attentive without overdoing it i.e. American style. The food was good quality, tasty and plentiful. The tables are simply not big enough for a large group

Another wonderful visit. Unfortunately I was not feeling well at all but my husband had mentioned to the staff that it was our wedding anniversary and we were greeted with a glass of bubbly each - a lovely gesture. The meal was excellent, as always

Calamari, mussels and creme brulee were all excellent plus the shiraz wine.

Excellent, welcomed by Manager who remembered us from previous visits, offered a kir royal for my wife's birthday. Lovely touch

An excellent meal for my son’s birthday. The food was excellent - the men had steak and I had the autumn ravioli which was delicious. Only thing I would say is that we were expecting a ‘sidecar’ cocktail as advertised but were given a kir royale. It was delicious but not what we were promised. Great service and atmosphere in the restaurant even though it was a Monday evening

Pre-booked a table for four online. Easy peasy. Great booth seating with fantastic waitress. Food selection with seasonal choices. Everyone very happy with main & desert. Unrushed. Not so keen on the added service charge.

I love Cotes and visit all the time, I never have a bad word to say but last night the service was very very slow, an hour for our starters, another 30 mins for our mains and our waiter wasn’t very apologetic, just a little sarcastic! Food as always was delicious, hopefully this was a one off as it was very busy and they will return to their usual fabulous selves.

Very good food - perfectly cooked and good size portions. Loved our complimentary Sidecar cocktails. Alex, our server was friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

We had a lovely meal the food choice was wonderful. A couple of us chose from the set menu which was amazingly well priced with good options, one person ordered from the main menu which has a great selection. All of us were extremely happy with our choices. Service during the meal was friendly and interactive but the best service came at the end of the meal when we were served by the gentleman with glasses, sorry didn’t catch his name, he was so funny and really finished off our night with a buzz. We will definitely be returning and recommending Cote Bishops Stortford to our friends. Thank you 😊

We have been going to Cote since it has been open and have always been happy with the food and staff until today. We took 2 new guests and we failed miserably . The onion soup was cold and sent back for reheating, l had my usual Breton Stew an was totally disappointing, not to your usual standard. It was cold and the mussels were the smallest l have seen from a French restaurant. My wife had her usual meal of pork belly and was over cooked. I am aware things go wrong but this experience with friends was embarrassing and spoilt our special day. I did tell the manager and she gave a good will reduction on the stew but still not satisfactory.

Always a go to for a safe, celiac meal, I love Cote in Bishop's Stortford. Staff is attentive, welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised with free dessert when they learned that it was our anniversary dinner. I couldn't find fault in this experience, or any previous dining experiences here if I wanted to.

Decor and ambience of restaurant very pleasant, staff friendly and helpful.

Haddock mains were quite dry, particularly the external area. Perhaps sat for too long under heat lamp before serving?
