Enjoyed the food .asked to move table as we were back other and coffee machine noise. Others use staff and food great.

We pre booked a table and arrived a bit early. The table which had been reserved for still had people at it . The lady who greeted us showed us to another table and we moved when the other table became available. We ordered our meal (breakfast) with our grandson. We must have waited at least 30 mins maybe longer. I did call the waitress over and she said sorry but they were very busy ( not my problem) and maybe she should put the order in again . The manger came over and apologised and offered us more drinks on the house , which was nice. But it still doesn’t alter the fact that this was a treat for our grandson which was a shame. I would like to point out the staff were all very courteous. Regards D W

Lovely as always. Only criticism is i was I felt a tad chilly and table of lads behind us were ridiculously loud.

Lovely meal, attentive service and very good value for money. Now, if only you could do something about the view out of the window.... :)

The staff are so welcoming - we eat at bishops stortford branch fairly frequently. We are remembered, we are welcomed - and the who dining experience is most enjoyable. Happy Christmas to all your hard working staff!

We were a large table on a busy day. Food was amazing, but the main course wasn’t all served at the same. Staff were very apologetic and needed no prompting that the situation wasn’t ideal and they compensate us. I nor the rest of the party, were put off returning to this restaurant, as the food was tasty 😋

It is always excellent and my favourite restaurant. Just try to serve Eggs Benedict warm it was cold and thats the second time its happened!

It’s was my wife’s birthday and everyone was welcoming and accommodating as soon as we walked in. They gave me the table i asked for and were brilliant all night. Very happy. Thankyou to all the staff!

Good food overall, well cooked meat and well prepared tartare. A bit of waiting for one main dish though that should have been avoided.

We asked for banquette as we always sit in that area but were shown to a table around the back !! the server was very polite and attentive And we were in and out within an hour . My benedict royale was not hot and the minimum of smoked salmon !! Not the usual and my wife could not eat sausage as it looked very aneamic but the server ordered another which was cooked well !! We like Cotes and have frequented it many times since it opened in BS . I guess you have a new manager ?? as we did not see a familiar face !!

Lovely dinner from Christmas menu with friends to celebrate a birthday. Complementary Kir Royals to start, good choice of starters, fabulous steaks & great deserts. Highly recommended.

Lovely evening from walking in the door when we were warmly greeted at front of house by Kasia who showed us to an intimate little table for two where we were served by Alex and her colleagues who were efficient and very friendly. The December menu was delicious and my steak was accompanied by a very tasty Cotê due Rhone. We couldn't have asked for better service or food. Well done, Bishop's Stortford!

Good menu choices, good service and attentive waiters. Excellent wine list, the Merlot was very good. Salmon succulent and my husband enjoyed his pork loin. Only point to reduce 6 stars to 5 is that 12.5% service is added without discussion.

We celebrated our son's 21st on a sunday evening. We had a great time.

Burger came out missing cheese and bacon and was well done after asking for medium rare. Staff were lovely but remembered why I haven’t been in so long!

Starters were delicious as was the haddock parmentier but all three steaks were tough as old boots, ice cream fine. Definitely won’t be choosing steak again.

Good food, good ambience. However I do object to 12.5% service charge being automatically added to the bill. I asked for this to be removed, which was ok. However, I prefer to tip at my own discretion which we did. Food reasonably prices, but drinks expensive

Bishops Stortford Restaurant gives an image of french cuisine and fine restaurant. In reality the food is at best average. Service is at best ok verging on poor. No real service/customer care or real interest to see if customer is happy. Food is very very average at best. Would not recommend the restaurant to anybody.
