Good service and nice restaurant. Three of us visited at 3pm on a weekday so it was relatively quiet. I had steak frites and for the first time ever at Cote, it was very chewy so a lot of it was inedible. I advised our waitress, who apologised but no discount was offered.

Another great evening at Cote's Bishop Stortford. Four dinners eating all dishes very good.

The staff were very welcoming and polite. The food was reasonably priced and very tasty. The seating could have been better as at times you felt like you were sat at the same table as other diners. All together a very enjoyable experience.

When I booked I had asked for a quite table. This was noted and we were immediately directed to a quiet area and they even asked if I’d like the music turned down, which they were happy to do. Nobody likes a noisy restaurant least of all someone with hearing loss. So we’ll done. We will eat with you again, especially as the food was lovely.

Yet another good meal at Côte bishop’s stortford. We have not been disappointed yet and have been enjoying this restaurant since it opened.

Excellent value at just £9.95 for 2 courses, a relaxed and friendly vibe, and, as a regular, the staff feel more like acquaintances than service personnel. A bientot :-)

The Breton fish stew was outstanding. But the chicken was disappointing. Tarte aux pommes was delicious. Service was exemplary. A lovely Birthday lunch, thank you. We forgot to ask for our free wine!

We had dinner on New Year's Even. Very disappointed. Clearly, you didn't have sufficient staff to cope with all the tables. There was far too much wait for food between courses and the crepes for dessert were terrible and not enhanced by a waiter walking round trying to light the spirit with didn't work. We are regular visitors to the restaurant but this experience has put has off going again especially when you take into account the cost!

Being New Year's Eve, it was very busy, but the staff and Management cope brilliantly and delivered excellent service and meal- Thank You

The waiting staff were very good, polite and chatty. Unfortunately, the starters were cold and had to be sent back. My main course was warm and the green beans looked as if they had been left over from Christmas Day and been on the hot plate since. Very disappointing lunch I’m afraid.

It was absolutely perfect! I would definitely book here again. Happy New Year.

The service was great and they tried hard to make sure we were looked after. The food was delicious and I must say one of the best steaks I have ever had. The fact that it was New Year should not have detracted from the fact that we just wanted a great experience. As it was we left disappointed because although we ordered three courses, over the three hours we only had two and had to retire. As I mentioned earlier we were happy with the staff but it took so long for the food to be served we had to leave before desert was served. Please take this as a positive statement.

Yet another highly enjoyable visit to this fine restaurant. Without fail the staff are special here which makes the experience so warm and welcoming. As in life some things don't always go to plan as happened to us, but the reaction by the restaurant was instant and most impressive. Our family love to visit bet it - Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Thank you as ever with the greatest respect to all the team. Au revoir....

Do they not celebrate Christmas in France? There was no sign of it in Cote last night. No decorations, no Christmas music and what was Christmas’y about the Christmas menu? My food was very disappointing. The mussels were over cooked and dry and my Breton chicken was so dry and over cooked that I couldn’t eat it! The three steaks were, apparently, very good and cooked to perfection. So, for me not a very good nights.
